Title: Quakes in Israel
Post by: Barbara on February 20, 2008, 09:43:45 PM
Islamic Movement blames Israel for quake induced hole on Temple Mount

from Jerusalem Prayer Team

The National Infrastructures Ministry said in a statement following Friday's 5.3 magnitude earthquake that the most recent tremors have increased fears about the possibility of a destructive earthquake taking place here.

The earthquake shook Israel early Friday afternoon and was felt mostly in the coastal plain. A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was felt earlier this week in parts of Israel.

Magen David Adom emergency medical services said that no injuries were reported. Friday's earthquake shook open a large hole on the Temple Mt. Plaza, near the Dome of the Rock. Al-aqsa mosque officials belonging to the Islamic movement's northern branch covered the hole with wooden planks following afternoon prayers. The officials who also said the quake caused cracks in several local residential buildings, said the hole was a meter deep, two meters long, and a meter and a half wide.

The Islamic movement blamed Israel for the hole, saying Israel is digging tunnels in the area that undermine the stability in the area of the Al-aqsa mosque . The organization urged Islamic states to take action to stop Israeli excavations in the area.

Although this is in no way that which is prophesied in Revelations, with the eclipse turning the moon red and the earthquake in Israel it is indeed a reminder of the great power of God and the wrath of His coming judgments on mankind. If you are reading this thread be assured that time is indeed coming. It is not too late to become a child of God and be able through the righteousness of Christ be able to avoid His wrath.

Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Salvation, salvation from death under the law by God's perfect grace.

Rom 3:10  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Rom 3:12  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Rom 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Rom 3:20  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Rom 3:27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Rom 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Rom 2:4  Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Rom 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Rom 3:28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 4:21  And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Rom 4:24  But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Rom 5:1  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Amen, Pastor Roger! There is so much happening so fast - it is time to come to Christ, to trust in Him for salvation and flee from the wrath to come. It's the most important decision anyone can make in their life! He loves you and He's calling you.

Here's more on the article from Haaretz:

Epicenter Northeast of Lebanese city of Tyre

A Tel-Aviv resident living on the second floor said, "We felt the earth move. The bed was rocking, the doors were moving, and the chandeliers were swinging.

In the West Bank an old house fell onto the main road in Kofin village west of Nablus, blocking it but not hurting anyone.

The earthquake also shook Lebanon and Syria.

Residents in some areas of Beirut left their apartments and went into the street after the first jolt shortly after midday, which lasted a few seconds.

Five people were lightly injured in southern Lebanon according to police.

Residents of Damascus, the Syrian capital about a 2 hour drive away, reported feeling the quake as well.

The quakes epicenter was 15 kilometers northeast of the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.

Local television stations reported the main force of the quake hit southern Lebanon where it damaged houses in 2 villages.

Two small quakes shook Lebanon on Thursday night, according to officials.

Earlier this month the education minister reported that 45 percent of the schools and the kindergartens in Israel would face serious danger in the case of a strong earthquake.

During the Knesset discussion on earthquake precautions in January, a representative of Israel's fire department said that in the case of a serious earthquake, only 29 firefighters would be available in Jerusalem to handle a situation in which, according to forecasts, hundreds of houses will collapse and thousands will be killed.

A 2005 forecast maintains that if an earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter Scale were to hit Beit She'an, 16,000 people would be killed, 90,000 would be hurt and 400,000 would become homeless. 130,000 buildings will collapse or suffer extensive damage.

AMEN!

I also believe that the End Days of this Age of Grace are drawing near. For those of you reading this who don't understand, the Holy Bible clearly states that a horrible time of 7 years will come upon the earth. This horrible time is known as the Tribulation Period. This time was foretold in Bible Prophecy and by JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.

Countless other Bible Prophecies have already been fulfilled most perfectly, so this is nothing to laugh or scoff at. Remaining Bible Prophecy will also be fulfilled perfectly at GOD'S Appointed Time, and that time might be near. The 7 year Tribulation Period will be a time of horror, evil, and bloodshed like the world has never seen. Events like World War II would be like a picnic in comparison. Mankind has desired unrestricted evil instead of GOD, so GOD is going to let the devil loose. ONLY GOD will be able to end this horrible time, and it will end with the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST in great and Holy Wrath. CHRIST HIMSELF will lead Heavenly Hosts into battle against evil, and evil will be crushed and reserved for judgment of Eternal punishment in Hell. About 75% of the earth's population will die during this 7 year period of time. There will literally be rivers of blood, and over 200 million will die in a single battle. These are the ones who come against Israel, and they will all die. JESUS CHRIST was and is the Anointed KING of Israel, and HE will take HIS Throne - the Throne of David in Jerusalem. JESUS CHRIST will provide unquestioned PROOF that HE is GOD, and HE will subject all things under HIS FEET. Israel will be restored, and JESUS CHRIST will rule and reign over the earth.

The time for accepting CHRIST is now. This length of this short life is uncertain, so your time for accepting CHRIST could be over at any time. GOD and the devil are real, and Heaven and Hell are real Eternal destinations. We don't just cease to exist when we physically die. We will spend Eternity in either Heaven or Hell, so this is the most important decision of your life. WON'T YOU ACCEPT CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR TODAY?
