Title: Personal holiness
Post by: phillip on January 16, 2008, 09:58:30 PM
II Corinthians 5:21 says, "For He (God the Father) hath made Him (God the Son) sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus Christ is our holiness  before Him and the Heavenly Father as He Himself is God.  I Thessalonians 4:7 says, "For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness."  This means that God seeks us to live holy lives for Him since we are found to be holy in His sight in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.  Outwardly and inwardly, we should seek to live holy lives because of what He has done for us at Calvary.  This covers Arminians, Calvinists, and all Christians who claim to know Him as their personal Lord and Savior.  We should live to please Him as He died for us and rose again to declare us holy and justified in the sight of God.
