Title: My Testamony
Post by: Littleboy on October 13, 2007, 03:29:34 PM
Hello Brothers & Sisters,
My Testamony:  I was 10 & telling people about the lord, @ 12 i went to the cross & repented my sins,
I was baptised the same day: Easter 1974.
My dad was a Hells Angel & my mom a bar room whore.(sorry) All has been forgiven....
I've been called many things, All of the bad things that we are called(its ok i love to be wronged when it comes to Gods word) and alot of good things too.
Please dont take this as boasting,
I've read the Old & New Testament from begining to end more than 100 times,
the book of mormans, the Watch tower, catholic versions, english versions, and many  books that was'nt allowed
to be put in the Bible.
The 1st time i realized that God was My Father & protecter i was 8 yrs. old, the neighborhood next door tried to molest me in the orange groves behind our house, I got away before he was able to do anything to me, but All's i could hear was him yelling "I'LL KILL YOU,IF YOU TELL ANYONE"!!!
I grew up listening to Billy Graham w/My Grandma, so i've alway's known God...
And i called on him that night to protect me,
the next day when i came home from school the police was at his house and my mom was gone,
she showed up shortly after i got home and had blood all over her, and she asked me if the boy next door gave me anything? I told her yes, a piece of metal and some cord that i tied around my toy stuffed monkey for a leash..
She called over the police that we're next door and they came and got the stuff he gave me..
Turns out it was a blasting cap and detenation cord,
The boy next door had Blown off both his hands and my mom heard it and ran him to the hospital..
I just told her about 6 months ago, what that boy tried to do to me...38 yrs. later
And she asked me , why did'nt you tell me then?
I said,God had dealt with him so qiuckly i did'nt need too!
Many things has the lord done for me & continues to do so!
When i was 18, Billy Graham said a prayer & a blessing over me, that was in 1980 Oki,Japan
I was watching a T.V preacher and the lord spoke to my heart and said:
Are not these all the things I showed you when you we're alitte boy? (8-?)
And i said, Yes Lord!
I grew up on the meat of the word and only a litte milk.
These and many other things that God has done for me has given me an assured word of his Gospel & the prophesies
that are upon us this very day!
A loving Brother,
Duane Martin & family

Amen Littleboy!

I really enjoyed reading your testimony. I love to hear about what GOD does in the lives of HIS Children. I was thinking about an old and beautiful hymn while reading your testimony:

"It is no secret what God can do,
What HE'S done for others,
HE'LL do for you.

I give thanks that GOD does as HE pleases in Heaven and on earth. We serve an AWESOME AND ALMIGHTY GOD who loves us!

Love In Christ,
Tom

1 Thessalonians 5:8-10 NASB
But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.

Hi Brother Tom,
Thank You I like that hymn also.
At the age of 12 i had already lived a lifetime and then some:
You know what though?
It made me a better dad, I've guarded my children with my life and from the evil that men do,
and have tought them everything i know... Now it's in God's hands,
I think if a man does that he has been a good dad...

Some more examples of Gods Love for me
When i was 16:
I've had a gun pointed at my head once, when it misfired 2/3 times i started running away with
about 12 people chasing me, "man that sucked",But by the grace of God no harm done...
When i caught up to my friend that was with me when that happened, he started crying and said i thought you we're dead, when you got out of the car and that guy had the gun to your head and started pulling the trigger
and nothing happened and you ran, Well, when he started messing with the gun to see why it did'nt shoot,
i started running and here we are... An Awesome God Indeed!

One time this guy had a knife at my throat, when i say at my throat "i mean stuck & bleeding", not to bad though,
and bent back over the steps, some of my karate & judo that i took when i was younger kicked in and i was able
to get the knife out my throat without further injury to myself & got the knife out of his hand...

I have so many more things like this that has happened to me..
God has made me feel like one of his sons.
Your Loving Brother Duane
P.S
I've read in the book of Ezekiel how the life giving water that will flow from the throne of god,
will revive the Dead Sea and that man will fish their,
Well, When Everything is Said & Done, IF Gods Willing we'll go fishing if you want too!
I look forward to meeting all of you & the other people that have come & gone in my life!
A Brother in Arms, Gods arms that is ! :)

Hello Brother Duane,

I'm convinced that there are several kinds of "Brothers and Sisters in Arms", and they all pertain to belonging to GOD. This term is also used by Christians in dangerous occupations serving others. Most people don't know how many Christians serve on the battlefield and how GOD is such an important part of life every day. The same is true for Christian police officers. Prayer means a lot to these Brothers and Sisters in Christ - more than average people will ever know. They live together in CHRIST, and they might physically die together in CHRIST. Whether we physically live or die, we are in the arms of CHRIST!

You were talking about going fishing in the Dead Sea some day, and that sounds good, but there are a few things I would like to do first.   :D   Thinking about Heaven and eternity is a very pleasant thing for Christians. There are many beautiful portions of Scripture that give a few details about eternity, but they give just enough information to cause a thousand more questions. My mother is 86 years young and we were talking recently about what we wanted to do when we get to heaven. We talked about the beautiful descriptions given in several portions of Scripture, and we both agreed that it would be beyond our imagination. We then started talking about what we wanted to do, and my mother gave the best answer I can think of. She simply said, "I want to see the face of my SAVIOUR."

I was thinking about some answers I might give, but I'm glad that my mother finished that conversation. The answers floating through my head were much less important. I'll give everyone a couple of grins. My first thought was finding out if everything in my glorified body worked and if I could fly.   ;)   Christians who are disabled do think about things like this. When we go fishing, will we sit on the bank or hover over the water?   :D

Love In Christ,
Tom

Revelation 21:18-23 NASB  The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

From what I've gathered from scripture is this:
We will only be in heaven for a short time,
because God is going to dwell on Earth with man forever & ever in the New Jerusalem(the one that John measured in his Book of Rev.)
after the judgment at the great White Throne...
You will wallk again, once we're as he is in that blink of an eye, you will be whole..

You are right Tom, we christians are all of one body and have different abilities according to the measure of faith one has been given, Some will be preacher, Prophets, Healers, teachers ect. ect. ect....
Theirs some good scripture on this
