Title: SAVED & HEALED
Post by: ludwig on September 25, 2007, 12:13:13 PM
dear everybody
this question has always been on my mind:
God desires that all be saved but not all are saved
so also God desires that all should be healed but not all are healed.
what's the answer?

That answer can be found in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 17:13-14 O Lord, the Hope of Israel, all who forsake You shall be put to shame. They who depart from You and me [Your prophet] shall [disappear like] writing upon the ground, because they have forsaken the Lord, the Fountain of living waters.14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.

Our spirit is healed, in Christ. Christians should be the happiest people on earth, because of Christ's gift to us.

God won't help anyone who doesn't ask for it. He won't save anyone who doesn't repent and ask for forgiveness. Of course, while it's His will for all to be saved, it isn't necessarily His will for all to be healed. Paul prayed three times for healing until God told him, "My grace is sufficient for you." Sometimes, He gets glory from someone's suffering. We can't understand that, because we selfishly think that God should answer all prayers the way we want, but He answers according to His will and always ours.
