originial sin-born with/into

actual sin-threw out life

Does that sound right?

I'd say so. I would just add that original sin still does it's work in promoting sin in our lives. In Eve it manifested itself in a desire to be like God, not in the sense of righteousness, but in the sense of obtaining His powers for herself, powers He did not give her. It still manifests itself in human pride and the unholy varieties of ambition. So there is definitely a connection there, but you're right-we had this at the moment of our existence. Actual sin is the choices we make.

Many seem to be saying these days, there is no such thing, as "sin".

But it would be interesting to see, then, what kind of reaction you might get, if you found such a group, and proceeded therefore to make the pronouncement, "Well, I know I'm not a sinner."

All of a sudden, everyone there will find something very wrong with that.

Hehe.  So they really DO believe there is such a thing as sin.  Becuase we all instinctively know that we are wrong.  Even a pagan will accuse you if you claim you are without sin, thereby admitting that there really is such a thing.

This is a great point, Symphony.
