Title: Please Join Me In Prayer
Post by: Soldier4Christ on February 01, 2007, 09:06:02 PM
........  for my brother. He is in the hospital again. He had bypass surgery and an artificial valve put in about 2 years ago. Today he is in ICU because he has three blood clots that are inside the artificial valve blocking it. He was supposed to go in to surgery for opening the main artery to his kidneys and now because of the blood clots they found he can't have that surgery either. His kidneys are only functioning at 33% of what they should be.

He has had a prison ministry for many, many years and now he must give that up also and there is no one to replace him. Please pray that the Lord will send someone to take over that ministry also.

Lord, we put this situation in your capable hands.

Mat 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Thank you all. I appreciate the prayers. A little update on my brother. He is going to have to go through surgery now. They have him at a point now where that is possible. They have decided the kidney problem is due to the heart and not what they originally thought. They couldn't get the blood clots in the artificial valve to dissolve so they will be going in with open heart surgery to possibly replace the valve again. The surgery is not scheduled yet but it is expected to be no later than Monday the 12th.

Yes, most definately will pray for your brother and also for the jail ministry. My husband and I have a jail ministry and we know how important it is to get the word to the prisoners. God Bless You!!

A bit of an update. My brother has come out of surgery just now. He went in for open heart surgery about 9 AM today. I couldn't be at the hospital myself. My wife and I have the flu so we couldn't go. My sister has been keeping me updated by phone though. She said they replaced the artificial valve with a pig valve. He is still in ICU. She was calling from a cell phone and the connection was not good and she was entering an area that doesn't allow cell phones so she is going to give me more of an update later when she gets home.

My brother is doing much better. In fact he is home now. They were going to release him Tuesday but the snow storm hit and they decided to keep him there. It would have been really risky not to. Even a lot of the snow plows were ending up stuck in the ditches. All the roads are cleared now and fairly safe so they let him go home.

I'm going to try to see him later today.

Pastor Roger,

I'm late in joining you for prayer, but I will pray for your brother's continued progress and health. GOD does hear our prayers.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Philippians 4:8 NASB  Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Thank you. He still is not able to get out and around yet except for a very short walk out his back door to a chair that is sitting there but he is doing much better.
