The band "Downhere" has definitely been turning heads since their self-titled debut release in 2001. Being titled as one of the "best rock album of the year" is just one of their recognitions. With the release of their sophomore album entitled So Much For Substitutes, they are showing the world the growth they have experienced. "Some of the songs on the first album are five to seven years old, and we've experienced a lot of growth in all areas of life since then," explains fellow co-vocalist and songwriter Marc Martel. "In the last couple of years alone, we've gone toward a more guitar-driven sound and a lot more transparency in our lyrics."
