Title: Kelsey Wolverton - young mother who had seisures
Post by: RhondaR on September 22, 2006, 04:11:57 PM
I want to thank all of you who prayed for Kelsey.  She is out of the hospital and back home with her husband and baby.

She's had gran mul seisures since she was 13 and has them frequently.

Strange thing is the doctors concluded that these seisures are not epileptic. They told her they were phsychological.  The seisures are real and she still has to take the medicine, but they want her in counceling.

They want to redo the tests in Dec.  Again, take her off all of her medicine and let her have 3 convulsions.

I don't understand.

They are not saying that she is doing it deliberately or faking them. They are very real, but the docs seem to think that they are from something she has blocked and does not know how to deal with.

Before her father was saved he drank heavily and beat her and her mother and nobody really knows all the abuse.

IF the doctors are right then perhaps that's where it stems from.

I just don't understand how seisures of that magnitude can be caused phsychologically.

Anyway,  I want to thank all of you for your prayers for her and when you think about her please pray for her.

God Bless,

Hello Sister Rhonda,

I give thanks that GOD answered this prayer. We should all know that our bodies are very complex creations of GOD, so only the Great Physician knows the answers to many secrets of our illnesses. Most mature Christians can think of times that GOD gave the answers that doctors didn't have and don't understand.

For Kelsey, we can simply thank GOD and keep praying for her. I give thanks that I have a Christian doctor who prays numerous times every day that GOD will guide him and give him wisdom to give the best treatment possible to his patients.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 104:33-34 NASB  I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.  Let my meditation be pleasing to Him; As for me, I shall be glad in the LORD.

Rhonda, I'm glad to hear that Kelsey is back home. I will continue to keep her in my prayers.
The mind is so complex only the Great Physcian can fully understand it. It is possible for someone to have siezures due to problems in their childhood. I will pray that God gives her doctors wisdom, but more than anything that she give her past, present and her future to God.
Thank you for keeping us updated.

Hi Rhonda,

The human mind is more complex than any Drs can ever know. Only God knows the hearts and minds of men and that is in all aspects, physically, emotionally, spiritually .........

I'm glad to hear that she is home with her family now instead of in the hospital. I will gladly keep Kelsey and her family in prayer.
