Oklahoma Howdy to Sincereheart,

;D Thanks, I needed that laugh. I don't think that ADMIN will let me carry my 45 and pepper mace.  ;D

I think it means that I have much to pray about in trying to do a good job.

In Christ,
Tom

The reason I'm happy is because those blue stars are SO much cooler than the pale yellow ones.

Bummer!  ;) But I still think he made a good choice!  ;D

Always a good idea - LOL! But you are a good influence here so keep on keeping on!

The reason I'm happy is because those blue stars are SO much cooler than the pale yellow ones.

Yeah, how come we can't pick the color of our stars?  :P

BEP,

Just promise me one thing. If you see something you don't like or think isn't in order, please hesitate before you shoot at it. LOL  ;D

I don't know how to deal with the atheists on this website. I really love exploring Christianity and other people's viewpoints but their arguments are irrational and contradictory. They just seem to be God haters who want to cut down Christians instead of a real search for the truth. It's pointless to argue with them because they are coming from self-deception and lies. How do others deal with this?

Oklahoma Howdy to Alfie,

:D  That may be why ADMIN told me to leave the 45 at home. That reminds me of a story that Jerry Clowery told once. A mountain lion chased him up a tree and his friend heard a horrible racket. He hollered and asked it he could help. Jerry hollered, "WHOOOOO, shoot up here amonst us, one of us has got to get some relief."   ;D

In Christ,
Tom

Oklahoma Howdy to Heidi,

I think that some may be genuine in asking questions and looking for answers. However, it is obvious that some calling themselves atheists are here for all the wrong reasons:

Hunt, bait, and poke fun of Christians.

Be disrespectful to the Holy Bible and God.

Cause disruption just to prove they can do it.

And generally be the 3-Ts: twits, twerps, and trolls.

If you read a few of their messages, you can tell which ones are the 3-Ts. I did a quick search the other night and found numerous web sites with instructions and procedures for atheists to use in causing trouble on Christian sites. They have lists of questions all ready to go with Bible Scripture and the works. Some atheist forums copy some of their best responses and post them for everyone to have a laugh over. They actually have threads about various Christian Forums, who is the most fun to pick on, etc.

I would say that you do the best you can to help those who want help and completely ignore the "3-Ts" category. The "3-Ts" category will eventually do something to be banned anyway. They are really pretty sad folks.

In Christ,
Tom

Thanks, Tom, for your advice. I've  pretty much been trying to ignore their posts but sometimes it's hard when they respond to other posts. The situation may now be moot because I just heard they were banned.

Your statement about being here to poke fun at Christians makes sense because it didn't sound like they read the full responses of each post. They would just take one phrase and hound on it even if it had been explained in the post. That's when I stopped resonding to them. They don't know it but they are seekers or they wouldn't be spending so much time on this site. Their way of seeking is to challenge. But until they receive the Holy Spirit, they will never understand our answers. Thanks.

Oklahoma Howdy to Heidi,

I honestly don't know about anyone else being banned. I reported some messages to ADMIN that either were blasphemy or approaching blasphemy. I know that I don't have anything in mail about that.

In Christ,
Tom

Well, it looks like you're right, Tom. This morning I  read one post where someone said they were banned. I suppose if we don't hear an official word about it, they are still with us. I think we all need to pray for them. In fact, maybe I'll start a topic about it. Thanks.

Oklahoma Howdy to Heidi,

I know of one who started a thread about being censored, and he was censored. Blasphemy was removed from several messages, and he received a warning. Common sense should be enough to know that cursing, blasphemy, and mockery of Almighty God is not welcome here. However, some folks don't come to Christians Unite for the same reasons you and I do, and some folks lack common sense.

In Christ,
Tom

I'd just like to say "ditto" also to what blackeyedpeas/Tom has said re his last quote which was:

However, some folks don't come to Christians Unite for the same reasons you and I do, and some folks lack common sense.

These people ARE seekers...they just don't know it yet.

Have a nice day!

Yours in Christ, Sissy

Oklahoma Howdy to sissy_momof2,

Someone has to try pretty hard to be banned here for that very reason. I pray that the lost do find Christ here, and I'm happy to say there are many patient and sweet Christians here who try really hard to help them.

ADMIN is the only one who can ban someone. Hopefully not many will see what caused them to be banned. As an example, the last three posted obscene, filthy, and vile material all over the board in a quick and planned attack. I'm sorry to say that several of our ladies saw some of these posts before they were deleted.

ADMIN and I really appreciate those who help by pushing the moderator button on the offensive message and giving a brief description.

In Christ,
Tom

I agree with you, Sissy. There's a reason people are drawn here...even if they think it's to mock Christianity. They obviously think about it.

I don't think as many are magically drawn here as you think. No one is changed over the net. This sounds like the online version of “You're only making fun of me because you are jealous/insecure." It isn’t something so holy as  they are looking. The reason most people who are not Christians come here is because they are board and just want to troll up a few Christian boards to annoy the Christians. It would be nice if they actually wanted to learn from us and such, but they don't.

Whew!  :o Glad this gal wasn't online!

P.S., Tibby - people aren't being "magically" drawn here. (then this would be a pagan site, LOL) Don't ever forget that the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword, and stronger than iron! Even if anti-Christian folks are coming just for the sport of it, this does not mean we poor innocent Christian sheep are useless in proclaiming the all-powerful word of God, which "does not return empty or void."

As far as this forum not being "holy" enough - anywhere that God's people fellowship together, there He is, also! :D
