Title: Prayers for Shelly
Post by: Shammu on June 23, 2006, 04:05:19 AM
Hey y'all, I just found out a young lady named Shelly. She tuberculosis and is in the 3rd stage. That is also known as Consumption, she has about 2 years left. She isn't a Christian, but give me a little bit of time. I'm going to be talking to her, about Christ.

Shelly is a 28 year old young woman.  She also has 2 children, which her ex took from her, because of the tuberculosis.  She does get to talk to the children on the telephone. So please pray for Shelly, that I may reach her, through Jesus Christ our Lord. May God bless y'all who help pray for Shelly.

Resting in the hands, of the Lord.
Bob

Well I talked with Shelly today, she is listening to what I am saying. Please pray that she accepts the Lord.  She thinks that she has been to bad, for the Lord. I've explained that the Lord loves her anyway. That her sins are why she feels bad, about her tuberculosis. Lizzie and I will be meeting with her again tommorrow.

I'll try and up-date y'all, once a day on progress of Shelly.

I will keep praying for Shelly. She needs to know that if anyone's sins were too bad to be forgiven, none of us would be saved, and that would mean that Jesus' sacrifice would have been in vain. I will be praying that she understands that there is more power in one drop of Jesus' Blood than there is in all the sins of the earth, and He didn't just lose 1 drop, He poured Himself out for us.

WEll I met with Shelly twice today. Once after Church, which she attended. Then just now, about 2 hours ago.  She is coming closer, I pray that Lizzie tommorrow can reach her more.  She seems closer, then she was before.

She seemed to enjoy Church. She told me she had never heard of salvation put, the way I put it.  Accordiong to her, mostly she had heard in the past was tithing. How the Church always needed more.

My message as always, talked for a few minutes on salvation, through Jesus Christ.

Again thank you everyone of you, who are praying for Shelly, God Bless.
Bob

Amen, Am

It's sad how too many people only hear the negative things, salvation has absolutely nothing to do with tithing.

Here is an up-date for y'all...........

Shelly is coming around slowly, but nicely. She is asking all the right questions. I'm praying that it won't be long now.
=====================================================

Some things I found out, she is allowing me to share.

When she came up here, her hubby (ex now) was in a bad traffic accident. She took care of him, helping with his reabliitation.  Well she got him so he started moving around and he was able to get a job working.  2 months later she found out about having TB.  So being a good wife she told him.

That was all it took for her hubby, to file for divorce, and leave with the kids.  The judge ruled cause she had TB, she wold be allowed to see the kids, but not have custody  of them.  Well he took off out of state, they are now in West Virgina.  The kids call Shelly once, to twice a week.

Well it looks like Shelly, does't have much longer on this world.  Please pray that she doesn't suffer much.  That God takes her in his time.

Brother Bob,

First, I give thanks that you were able to help Shelly and she accepted JESUS CHRIST as her LORD and SAVIOUR. I know that things like this are difficult, but we know where she is going now - "Absent from the body, present with the LORD." Brother, I will be praying for both of you and her family.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ephesians 3:14-19 NASB  For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Well I'm back from the hospital, Shelly is sleeping now.  She is on a morphine drip, to help her deal with the pain.

Shelly does have a request, to pray for her children. They are lost, with her ex-husband.  Shelly would like them to come to Jesus.

Brother,

Please tell Shelly that many of us will be praying for her husband and children. As we know, GOD loves to hear our prayer. HIS Will be done.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Galatians 2:19-21 NASB  "For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God. "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. "I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly."
