By Nigel Bunyan (Filed: 24/03/2006) A 15-year-old boy who raped four young girls after watching hardcore pornography was sent to a young offenders' institution yesterday for four years. The teenager approached his victims - two aged eight and the others seven and 10 - as they played in Mandley Park, Salford. He lured them into a more secluded area, threatened to "leather them" if they tried to escape and attacked them in turn. Afterwards, one of victims was ignored by a passer-by as she tried to get help and the alarm was not raised until the girls went home. At Manchester Crown Court the boy admitted four rapes and was told he would have to spend five years under supervision once he was freed. After the case, the girls' families said their lives had been devastated. "The innocence of our daughters was cruelly stolen from them by this sexual ordeal. They will never be the same again."
