Title: Free Abortions for Evacuees Post by: sincereheart on January 13, 2006, 07:55:45 AM This is a bit old, but still amazing! :-[
Clinic: Free Abortions for Evacuees Wednesday, September 28, 2005 LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A doctor has offered to perform free abortions on hurricane evacuees (search), saying it may be too dangerous for them to wait until they return home. Despite protests from abortion (search) opponents, Little Rock Family Planning clinic director Dr. Jerry Edwards said he has already performed six free abortions. The clinic usually charges between $525 and $600 for a first-trimester abortion. "If we didn't provide it now, they would get it later — a late-term abortion that would give greater risk to the mother's health," Edwards told KTHV-TV in Little Rock. Edwards, who runs the only abortion clinic in central Arkansas, was unavailable for further comment Tuesday, a clinic employee told The Associated Press. Rose Mimms, executive director of Arkansas Right to Life, said Edwards is risking further traumatizing women who have already lost their material belongings. "This just adds to the devastation these women already have in their lives," she said. But Marvin Schwartz, spokesman for Arkansas-Oklahoma Planned Parenthood (search), said Edwards is providing women with a needed service. "The timing of the abortion procedure is, of course, extremely critical. The earlier in the pregnancy, the less critical it is," he said. http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,170649,00.html (http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,170649,00.html) Title: Re: Free Abortions for Evacuees Post by: nChrist on January 13, 2006, 08:50:22 AM Hello Sincereheart,
Sister, I never cease to be amazed by stories like this. The senseless murder of God's Gift, an innocent baby, just seems to be so casual. This murder is reduced to something about as important as just another chore, like the woman getting her hair or nails done. The murder of babies makes me sick and angry every time I think about it. I even feel guilty that I might have been able to do more to stop this and didn't. I'm not talking about using violence or otherwise violating the law in stopping the barbaric practice of abortion. I would be talking about signing petitions, doing email campaigns, writing to representatives, and other perfectly legal, non-violent activities. What's sad is that many Christians have been involved in activities like this since Roe vs Wade, and the slaughter continues. This is sad and evil when we are talking about a so-called civilized and Christian nation. In fact, it would be sad and evil for an uncivilized and barbaric nation. Brothers and Sisters, a system of adoptions could be set up for all of these unwanted innocent babies. The adoption of a child is a dream and an answer for prayer for many couples who can't have children. In fact, many couples are so desperate to adopt a child that they spend huge amounts of money in other countries to adopt a child. The positive end results of an adoption system should be obvious, but maybe not for some people. So, I would like to list a few of them:
I think that the best thing that Christians can do to stop this murder is to continue PRAYING, telling the blunt truth, and staying involved with petitions, mail campaigns, telephone calls, and any other legal, non-violent activity that will finally succeed. Sister, I can't tell you how happy it makes me that you are back with us. We have really missed your friendship, your fellowship, and your participation as a very strong and mature Christian woman. We will always love you as a Sister in Christ, and the old, rowdy men on the forum have been out of control in your absence. :D I think that the first ones you need to WHOP up side the head and knock back in line should be Allinall, 2nd Timothy, JudgeNot, Evangelist, BigD, and Paul2. Now, some of us, including me, have been like little angels in your absence. ;D If you believe that, I've got some slightly wet property in New Orleans that I'd like to talk with you about. :D Love In Christ, Tom 1 Timothy 4:4-6 NASB For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. What do you think? Title: Re: Free Abortions for Evacuees Post by: sincereheart on January 14, 2006, 07:47:16 AM Hello Sincereheart, So sad! :-[ Constantly promoted as an alternative to birth control -but promoted by those who seek financial gain from it. And so many women buy into it. And they pay the price in so many more ways than just financial! :-\Sister, I never cease to be amazed by stories like this. This is sad and evil when we are talking about a so-called civilized and Christian nation. In fact, it would be sad and evil for an uncivilized and barbaric nation. And I've run into Christian organizations who offer counseling and options for women who are considering abortions! They seem to get overlooked because the media zeroes in on those who are picketing. :-\ Quote Brothers and Sisters, a system of adoptions could be set up for all of these unwanted innocent babies. (Cheesy) Sister, I just got through thinking about it, and I've gone since early this morning without needing or deserving a WHOPPING. In looking back, I actually deserve at least one WHOPPING for every day, so WHERE IS THE WHOPPING DONE? I NEED TO GET IN LINE. :D Now, I'm worried. Would that by any chace be a nerf whopping stick? If not, some of us might not survive.
