Title: THE MYSTERY OF PRAYER Post by: Soldier4Christ on December 19, 2005, 12:37:18 PM by Irvin L. Rozier THE MYSTERY OF PRAYER The act of prayer is surrounded with much mystery Prayer to God can change the course of history Men first began to call on God many years ago This is recorded in Genesis four and 26 you know I don't know whose prayer to God was the first Maybe it was for water to quench a mighty thirst But I thank the Lord that this one paved the way So many others who followed can to God pray Saints' prayers are full of odors stored in golden vials Some are ones I prayed during my troubles and trials Angels add incense to these prayers of the saints They are presented to God who never slumbers or faints At times I've prayed and the Lord answered right away At times I've prayed and the answer never came my way But I will keep on praying to God who reigns on high The answer will come today, tomorrow or bye and bye Title: Re:THE MYSTERY OF PRAYER Post by: Battle Maiden on December 19, 2005, 02:37:42 PM :)
For me the mystery of prayer is the most wounderful experience that we can have. It open the doors which allows our hearts to be open to God, it allows him to come in the deeper we go in prayer the heavens can open and God's glory comes down. He can reveal his heart to those that seek him. As you said it can change the course of history. For me prayer is those most beautiful way in building a relationship with God. Medical science has acknowledged that praying helps the ailing and but for the power of prayer I would not be here today! I believe that with all my heart! I find myself praying often - just quick praises most of the time, but I also stop sometimes during the day and find myself thinking of someone so I pray for them. Really no mystery about it, if you have faith. ;)
Blessings- Title: Re: THE MYSTERY OF PRAYER Post by: TalkerCat on January 26, 2006, 09:44:42 PM Nice to see you again Battle Maiden :D
