Title: Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: TalkerCat on November 20, 2005, 03:48:42 PM Where are you ladies? I think this is a great forum for us, to hold each other up and share being women.... so where is everyone? ??? As far as I can see, not many posts here! Knock! Knock! JESUS IS CALLING!
Blessings - Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: Butterflies on November 22, 2005, 06:06:53 PM I've been wondering that too. I guess it's up to you and me to think of interesting posts that women will want to respond to.
A lot of topics we'd probably discuss here are already in another forum such as prayer requests or witnessing tips. What topics would we like to discuss in this forum? Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: TalkerCat on November 22, 2005, 06:32:53 PM Hello Butterflies!
Women's health issues is a hot topic for me.... marriage, relationships, etc.... strictly "girl" stuff! Blessings - Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: marmor653 on November 26, 2005, 09:11:36 AM Here's one. ;D I'm new to this site. Are either of you married? I'm married with 2 children, boy and girl, 21 and
17. Sister In Christ, marmor653 Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: TalkerCat on November 26, 2005, 04:04:06 PM Hello Butterflies and Marmor! It may just take the three of us to get this board going!
I am 42, disabled, married with no children. I love Jesus and am currently immersed in Forty Days of Purpose. I'm an animal advocate. My husband is a non believer and I struggle with that issue in the marriage. Basically though, I'm happy and content with where the Lord has brought me so far .... Blessings - Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: marmor653 on November 26, 2005, 05:44:33 PM I understand, my husband was a nonbeliever too, until some tragic events in our lives came about. It's amazing when no one else can help, Jesus always can. My husband found this out. Read my post under prayer requests, regarding our daughter Angela. This was the life changing event I'm speaking off. We are still going through it, but it's awesome to know Jesus is on our side. ;)
I'll pray for your husband, if that's okay? Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: TalkerCat on November 26, 2005, 08:52:57 PM Dear Sister,
I praise the Lord that your husband found Jesus. I will hold you and your family up in prayer and YES, I accept your invitation to pray for my husband. Thank you so much. Feel free to email me any time at:talkercatbiscuits@yahoo.com Blessings- Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: marmor653 on November 27, 2005, 08:21:57 AM Thank you so much for holding us up to the Lord, I too will hold you and yours up. ;D
And I'll take you up on your email offer. ;) Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: roc_rus on November 27, 2005, 11:33:31 PM I'll join in. Havent been around in a long time. Life seems to keep bringing new challenges.
I am single without kids and the only men around seem to be non-believers and it is my goal to not have to go through dealing with a non-believing husband. So to avoid this I choose not to date non-believing guys. ;) Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Just checking back in to see who's posting! Welcome Florence, I know you're going to like the forum. There are a lot of good christians here and a lot to do, if you have time to surf the site. I don't know where you are in the time zone, I'm in Southern California so I'm PST. It really doesn't matter though what time you post, we're all here for you. And hello to you too, roc_rus! I agree wholeheartedly with your decision to not date nonbelievers! I happen to be married to one and the road is rough . . . so kudos to you sister! I want both of you to feel free to email me anytime you want to chat or if you need prayers or whatever! There is no such thing as too many christian friends! talkercatbiscuits@yahoo.com ps: Hi Marsha! Hope all is well with you. Blessings - Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: Butterflies on December 02, 2005, 07:28:16 PM Wow, I hadn't checked this forum all week and look who all came out of the woodwork,ha.
Talker Cat, I am also 42, in fact I just had a birthday. I am married but no kids. I certainly agree with roc-rus about only dating Christian men. It is really best to do things as groups at first anyhow and get to be friends first. God blessed me with being introduced to a single pastor when I was mid-20's and he has been the love of my life and never a dull moment, ha. The Purpose Driven Life book changed my life. I was reading it when my husband returned from a short term mission trip overseas 4 years ago, and returned saying he wanted to MOVE there. Well, the end of the book talks about the big picture and our real purpose. Evangelism to the lost should be our real purpose. Well, we've now been overseas for over a year and God is at work here! Have a great weekend everyone! Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: TalkerCat on December 06, 2005, 11:21:55 PM I'm on day 15 of the Purpose Driven Life and it's changing my life! I'm feeling so much more prepared for God's will and His plan for me . . .
Has anyone else read this book? Let's share our experiences. It pleases the Lord when we fellowship and praise Him. It is our job as christians to spread the word! Blessings - Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: Battle Maiden on December 18, 2005, 10:49:35 AM :)

We meet again! :) I "inherited" 10 grandchildren when I married my husband! I never had children of my own (by choice) so it was quite overwhelming for me at first, but as the years have gone by I've grown closer to them . . . especially the little bitty ones!
Glad to see you're posting! Blessings - Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: airIam2worship on December 20, 2005, 09:08:43 AM Count me in Sisters, my name is Maria, I have 4 children of my own the youngest is 24, and for the last 7 almost 8 years I have been raising my husband's 2 daughters, now 13 & 14. I just turned 57 last week. I was diagnosed with numerous neuromuscular autoimmune diseases, some are very rare. 5 years ago I was in a wheelchair for almost 2 years, but praise God, I can walk again. I am currently what the doctors call disabled, so I don't work, at least not outside the home. :D
I have 13 grandchlidren and another about to be born on the 10th of January, he will be delivered by c-section as my daughter is very high risk. Oh by the way God blessed me with 3 daughters, 1 son and 2 stepdaughters, so I have to count on Him every moment of my life in regards to all these girls. 8 of my grandchildren are girls from ages 16 all the way to 2, and the boys (6) from 17 to the one that will be born very soon. My daughters don't live near me one lives in Colorado, and the other 2 live 2 hours away. I raised all 4 of my own children by myself from the time the oldest was 11. They all received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and only one of them is now a member of a church the (a girl) the other 2 girls deeply believe in ther Christian faith and in their commitment to God but don't go to church anymore, they too are raising their children as Christians and have made sure that they all know Jesus. My son though has turned his back on the Lord this makes me very sad. Please pray for him, and pray that my other 2 daughters will start attending church soon, they need to hear the Word. Faith comes by hearing. I too have the journal "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. I love it. My husband was an unbeliever untill about 3 years ago, and it was so bad, that one day he even gave me an ultimatum, he told me there was 'Too much God' in his house and that either God had to go or he would go, I just simply stared at him while I silently prayed, then after about what seemed like and eternity, I heard myself tell my husband that I loved him but he would never be able to get God out of my heart, or me out of His, therefore I chose God. My husband promptly moved out with his 2 daughters and 3 weeks later he was back, giving me rides to church, until one Sunday I got up to get ready for church and found my husband sitting in the living room all dressed and ready to go to church with me, he wanted to find out what it was God has for me. Praise God, he found out.... we've had a few bumps in the road, but God always answers my prayers for my husband and my marriage. My husband is now an active member of our church, and he goes to Laymen's Bible School with me. It's not to say that I should stop praying, I constantly pray for my husband, and for our marriage. Your sister in Christ, Maria. Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: TalkerCat on December 20, 2005, 09:41:26 AM Greetings Sister Maria! It's nice to have you in the Womens Forum :D It's important that we keep this board active and warm for our sisters to feel welcome and HEARD!
I am 18 days into the Purpose Driven Life and I've learned how very important fellowship is. The Lord wants us to be together as christians - in fact, he commands it! So on that note, I will pray that your kids start attending a regular home church with their kids but mostly I'll pray for your son that is lost. . . I believe in the power of prayer and I have confidence that your lost little lamb will find his way to Jesus. If you're at all interested in my journal of the Forty Days of Purpose journey; please read my blog here at the CU Community Blogs. Praise the Lord that your husband found Jesus. As you know, my husband is a non believer and it's a very big issue in our marriage. I applaude you for not giving in to your husband's ultimatum because I would do the same thing. I love my husband, but I love GOD more! ;) So glad to see this forum becoming more active! I check it every day looking for new faces and hoping to really get it off the ground. We need each other as women and should have a place to go where everyone there can sympathize, support and pray for us. God Willing . . . Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: airIam2worship on December 20, 2005, 10:42:27 AM Thank you for your prayers. God loves it when we pray, satan trembles when he sees a saint on his knees. When we pray we are blessed two ways, God blesses us and the person we are praying for, He is so Wonderful.

I used to read Stephen King - in fact I just gave away over 30 books. I quit reading horror books; and watching horror movies when I became a christian. I just don't want those images in my mind anymore. I feel that works like that are demonic and I only want good thoughts of Jesus in my mind and heart. I do, HOWEVER like to watch shows like "Cops" or "Cold Case Files" . . . I'm intrigued by criminal science. I'm thrilled that our "womens only" forum is getting more posts! Let's all check it regularly and keep it flowing . . . I can feel the Spirit moving here! Blessings - Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: Butterflies on January 07, 2006, 06:51:48 PM airIam, I just read your post from Dec.20 on how your husband came to know the Lord. What an awesome inspiration for anyone in the same boat. I have heard of women praying for years for their unsaved husbands and finally them coming to the Lord.
I was a Christmas when I was dating, and I prayed for someone stronger in the faith that I so that he could be the spiritual leader of my home. I married a pastor and now we are serving together as overseas missionaries. The Lord is good! Take care -- Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: TEXASGRANDMA on January 07, 2006, 07:25:30 PM don't tell anybody but when I was in Houston, my daughter got me reading harry potter books. I just finish book 6.
At first I would not read them, but then I realized there are more like the Bewitched show with a mystery flair. I still like M.C. Beatan better though. betty I too like cold case, and the csi shows. betty Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Where are you serving now?
Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: Butterflies on January 08, 2006, 07:50:09 AM We are in Taiwan. There is a lot of idol worship here and burning incense to honor dead ancestors. They are very afraid of ghosts and demons here. Jesus is more powerful than all of that.
Title: Re:Where Are The Christian Women? Post by: airIam2worship on January 08, 2006, 02:12:09 PM Amen He is. I will pray for you and your husband and for the lost to have a receptive heart.

I am thinking right now what a beautiful REALITY that is. We BELONG TO JESUS and no power in the universe can pluck us from His Mighty Hands. This REALITY means PEACE WITH GOD, and there is nothing more important in this short life. Every Christian knows that this short life on earth is just a visit. We are no longer of this world - our CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN! Sister, thank you for this beautiful reminder. Our highest priority is very simple: KEEP OUR EYES AND HEARTS ON JESUS!! Hello RLOWE, I'm a grandpa, so I am permitted to have temporary lapses of memory. :D Besides, I get inspired with certain topics and have to add an AMEN or a positive comment from time to time. Other than this, we do have some women on the forum who raid the "for men only' area from time to time, especially when we are talking about the ladies. I will try to do better, and I'll try to leave you with a little giggle before I leave. I gave my wife a very large and beautiful MOOD RING for Valentine's Day last year. The stone in the ring is quite large and beautiful. When my wife is in a good mood, the stone is a beautiful shade of blue. When my wife is in a bad mood, it leaves a very large and ugly RED MARK on my forehead. ;D (http://www.sirinet.net/~blkidps/n26.gif) Love In Christ, Tom Psalms 19:14 NASB Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.
