Title: RAIN! Post by: Symphony on July 30, 2003, 08:59:56 PM We've gone a month with virtually no rain. Breezy, dry air; forests crackly dry... And just now, a wonderful, slow, steady easy rain. So nice... probably at least a half inch by now.... Thank you, Jesus Title: Re:RAIN! Post by: Whitehorse on July 30, 2003, 09:17:38 PM Amen. :)

Title: Re:RAIN! Post by: chambochae on March 05, 2004, 02:45:44 PM I guess it's comforting to think there's some kind of sentient force behind events like this. After all, it's hard to 'thank' the chaotic, unpredictable weather patterns. It's easy to blame them for the drought in the first place though...

Post by: Shylynne on March 27, 2004, 09:02:49 PM This thread made me turn to the psalms, and I just had to share these songs of David...
Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psa 65:9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, [which] is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. Psa 65:10 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. Sometimes the showers of blessings He sends overflow in the wellspring of my heart...and mere words are not enough to thank Him for all His love and care! |
