Title: POEMS Post by: ROBIN on July 24, 2003, 02:45:12 AM My name is Robin Lindh. I reside in Sweden where I live with my husband. I hope you can use these poems.
robinlindh@chello.se THE WHITE CLOUD Buy the Truth and sell Him not. She is a deep and narrow pit. She lies in wait as for a prey. Do you have sorrow? Is there contention? Do you have redness of eyes and wounds without cause? Do not look upon her when she is white. At the end she bites like a serpent and stings like an adder. Your eyes shall see strange images and your heart shall utter perverse things. You will be found in the midst of the sea or on top of a mast. They struck me and I didn’t know it. They beat me and I felt it not. When I awake, I will seek her yet again. Robin Lindh Prov. 23 kjv THE BROKEN CURSE Insane? I was. Not of sound mind? I was. But today I am awake and of a good behaviour. I love life and I am happy to be alive. He is there, like a roaring lion, walking about and looking for me to destroy me. But I will resist him. I will have a firm stance. He has become weak as I was. You, son of the morning, are cut down! You, who did weaken a generation, is brought low; even to the pit. I will look upon you and say… Is this what made the earth to tremble and the cities to shake? That tried to make the world a wilderness and our young desolate? You are weak! You are nothing! The curse has been broken and I am set free. Robin Lindh Kjv THE CAPTURED BIRD As he, a young man void of understanding, reaches the dark and dreary corner. She, with the attire of an harlot and subtle of heart, tempts him; holding his life in her hand. He yields to her temptation not knowing what lies ahead; harder stuff, hooked! As a bird hasteth to the snare and knoweth not that it is for his life. Robin Lindh Kjv HAVING NOTHING Yet a little drunkenness and you shall see poverty. A little drowsiness and you shall be clothed with rags. You have hands yet they will not work. You have feet yet they will not feed you. A little slumber, a little sleep, a little folding of the arms and so shall poverty come upon you as a woman in labor. You will desire, but have nothing. You will beg, yet have nothing. You will not work, so you will have nothing. She has mocked you! They have deceived you! And you have become as a mad man. Robin Lindh Kjv I WILL A third of the stars in space shall be cast down to earth. Hell from beneath stirreth up the dead for thee; it is moved for thee, to meet thee at thy coming. How are thou become as weak as we? Thy pomp is brought down to the grave. The worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. How are thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning? How are thou cut down to the ground, you who didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart: I will ascend into Heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit upon the mount of the congregation. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will be like the most High. But thou are cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch; as a carcase trodden under feet. Robin Lindh Kjv WHAT ABOUT JOY All your life you’ve had kicks; you’ve had fun. Being dependent upon things to keep you going, but what about joy? Dad is in you drawer, dad is under your bed, dad is in your hair, dad drinks all day; but what about joy? Sis finds them, drops them, and you break her neck; but what about joy? Mom comes home at 0400 from___ you’re messed up, dad is out cold, sis is in the hospital; but what about joy? Robin Lindh BAAL The nations were ruled in anger! They ate the sacrificed of the dead. They were mingled among the heathern and served their idols. They shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and of their daughters, and sacrificed them unto devils. Thus were they defiled with their own works and went a whoring with their own inventions. Robin Lindh Kjv LUCIFER There was a war in heaven. They fought against the dragon and his angels. And the dragon prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, That old serpent called the Devil and Satan. which deceiveth the whole world. He was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath to kill, to steal, and to destroy because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Oh Lord, keep my eyes and my heart from diversion And teach me to chasten my pride; Dust-born and frail-minded, I can't understand The things I've grown up alongside. Tell my soul to be still, Let it rest in Your will, Like a child in its mother's embrace. Title: Re:POEMS Post by: flutterby on January 13, 2004, 11:09:05 AM Beautiful!
Here is one God gave me just as I was waking up one morning. I couldn't keep up with the pencil as I tried to scribble it down on a piece of scratch paper before it was gone. FLOWERS IN THE MUD You can't see me I'm in the darkness surrounded by decay and lonliness I'm reaching and striving upward longing for warmth and light Forces are restraining me, smothering me My inner strength, my longing, my drive Keep me moving toward what? Will it be better? Will I be seen, loved, contemplated? You don't know me but God willing you will Within me is such giving, such glory All I want is to make you feel seen, loved, contemplated Can you see me now? Come closer. Don't be shy I came just for you. I am the flower in the mud. We're not so different, you and I You have had to push yourself up out of the darkness Your inner strength is as great as mine. Maybe stronger Your true beauty has come to light after struggling against the forces God Himself called our names and we followed his voice Now is our time to feel His love, His warmth Our God given beauty is both our gift and our debt During our season on this earth we must share our wonderous beauty in hopes that we will serve as a beacon to other flowers struggling to come out of the mud. :) flutterby |
