Title: Does anyone know of any Open Theism debates by professionals? Post by: Goriller on August 13, 2005, 01:25:03 PM I'm currently studying the open theism issue. The quickest way to get up to speed is from reading and/or listening to debates (preferrably from degreed theologians). I am only aware of a couple of these. One is a book published by Baker Academic called, Does God Have a Future?: On Divine Providence which was a collection of email exchanges between Christopher Hall and John Sanders. And the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society[/u] (http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3817/is_200206) published a few exchanges between John Sanders, Gregory A. Boyd, Clark Pinnock and Bruce A.
And currently in progress at www.TheologyOnLine.com is a debate between Dr. Samuel Lamerson of Knox Theological Seminary and a pastor from Denver. Those are the only debates I'm aware of (by degreed theologians) on the topic of open theism. If anyone knows of any others, please post them here. I would greatly appreciate it. Post by: wings on August 27, 2005, 01:58:54 AM I'm told that Ravi Zacharias (RZIM Ministries - Atlanta, GA 1-770-449-6766) knows about Open Theism. He does apologetics. Also Dr. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (crm.org) may be of great help.

Lauderdale, FL (crm.org) may be of great help. Dr. Kennedy's Knox Theological Seminary is where the currently debating Dr. Lamerson teaches. By the way, that ongoing debate at TheologyOnLine.com that I linked to above is really intense. I'm not real knowledgeable on this issue but it looks to me like Dr. Lamerson is getting beat pretty badly. |
