Title: Diabetes & Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) Post by: cris on August 12, 2005, 08:51:03 PM While surfing the net, I came upon the benefits of taking Alpha Lipoic Acid for diabetes (this is an antioxidant). If anyone is interested they could just type these words in their search window along with the word diabetes. Here's just a very short article: http://www.ralapure.com/diabetes.asp Title: Re:Diabetes & Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) Post by: ZakDar on August 12, 2005, 10:54:44 PM While surfing the net, I came upon the benefits of taking Alpha Lipoic Acid for diabetes (this is an antioxidant). If anyone is interested they could just type these words in their search window along with the word diabetes. Here's just a very short article: http://www.ralapure.com/diabetes.asp Add to that these two naturals. First gymnema. Usually in the form of tea. It actually helps the pancreas to restore production of beta cells. Second, bitter melon. My wife is from the Philippines where a significant amount of bitter melon comes from, and there are many doctors there who prescribe this for diabetics. Their success rate for full recovery from type II is phenominal. Nota that you have to eat this stuff raw, and it IS rather bitter. Plus, you have to sustain this in your diet daily. But if you're diabetic like me, and you're watching your body being ravaged piece by piece, a little bitterness is no price to pay for reversing this foul disease. |
