Title: Be careful what you as for... Post by: Driven by Him on July 29, 2005, 10:56:36 PM I often pray for opportunities to serve the Lord. A year and a half ago, I prayed for strength to become more active in my church, within two days of praying this, I was asked to serve on a committee. I prayed every morning for a week for God to help me see fellowship opportunities. The following Sunday a new new Bible study group was started. I prayed for wisdom and courage to serve in a more active way. A short time later I was encouraged by others to consider lay speaking. I am now pursuing this. These are just a few examples of what the Lord is doing through me. God had transformed me from a "volunteer for nothing" one day a week christian to an active, yet unworthy servant. I pray to seek His will, and He leads me to opportunities.
