Title: Unusual occurrences Post by: Evangelist on June 28, 2005, 12:38:22 PM I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there has been, in the past month or so, a spate of "stuff" happening that is considered somewhat unusual.
Earthquakes. Montana, Utah, ILLINOIS?, Kentucky, NEW YORK?, OKLAHOMA? plus an apparent increase in activity offshore California, portions of Alaska, and quite a few in Central and South America along a "chain" extending several thousand miles. Animal behavior. Two shark attacks, one fatal, in the past week off Florida. Elephants turning on and trampling or tusking their trainers. A hyena crept into multiple houses in Kenya and ate parts of 17 people. Volcanos. Several volcanos that have not been heard from during recorded history are rumbling into life, while several that were considered unimportant have suddenly become important with highly explosive eruptions. And, of course, strange weather patterns (global warming, I'm sure ::) ), including the first EVER predictions for tornadic activity in Canada and England. Things are cookin', folks. Quote (global warming, I'm sure ::) ) Don't EVEN get me started on that subject. Talk about a tool of the left (U.N.) to help them gain total control over the "masses"... Title: Re:Unusual occurrences Post by: Soldier4Christ on June 28, 2005, 01:19:09 PM So far the earthquake activity in Southern Illinois down into Arkansas and Tennesee is not unusual, but I agree that taking into a worldwide scope there is unusual activity as you have stated and I don't think it is over just yet.
That earthquake in Indonesia has set off a string of events that is not soon to stop. I speculate that there is much more, and perhaps many that will be worse, coming. Scientists theorize that pressure is building along other major fault lines because of this activity. There is one in Indonesia that is a bigger fault line than the one that already went and they speculate the pressure is building on it because of the last one. Title: Re:Unusual occurrences Post by: JudgeNot on June 28, 2005, 01:31:51 PM What - something like 4 earthquakes in California over a 2-day period last week? That's a lot of activity even for the Left Coast!
Title: Re:Unusual occurrences Post by: Soldier4Christ on June 28, 2005, 01:39:39 PM Seven earthquakes in CA in less than 2 weeks. That is a bit unusual. I was referring to the San Madrid fault lines as not having unusual activity.
Title: Re:Unusual occurrences Post by: ZakDar on June 29, 2005, 06:58:46 PM Hmmm..... they need to define "first ever tornado activity in Canada".
While we don't get a whole lot, we still get the odd surprise now and then. In fact, the year I was born in Sarnia, Ontario, a tornado wiped out the entire downtown. When I was in my late teens, a couple of tornados wiped out a number of farm houses 15 miles east of Sarnia. Then about 7 years ago when I was working in Toronto, a thing they call a micro-blast levelled a business two blcoks away from where I was. When you see something like that, the first thing that comes to your mind is satanic targeting. The thing wiped the poor guy out of business. I get the feeling they must be talking Canada-wide here because Sarnia and Toronto (southern Ontario) is considered the northern tip of tornado alley. They are not too common, but they definitely do happen around here. |
