Title: Not able to open e-sword Post by: gary cook on February 16, 2005, 12:41:09 PM I had a hard time down loading it .Then my computer says it can not open it .I just got this computer ,it is a gateway 820gm .got lots of things on it .more than I need ? But my wife talked me into buying it .I just wanted a cheap one .xp media center.I am sure it will open it with the right button pushed LOl

If the download was corrupted (for whatever reason) it won't work. I had to uninstall/reinstall before mine worked. E-Sword is a great program, though, and I also use the on-line Bible and Biblegateway. http://www.onlinebible.net/

I missed your post about having problems with e-Sword. I would have loved to help you with it. I'm glad to hear that you have it working and that you enjoy it. I share your love of the author and pray for him every day. I especially like his goal of making e-Sword and the Holy Bible available to the entire world in every language. I give thanks that God is using Rick Meyer, and huge progress has been made to reach that goal. I love the legal notice on the opening screen of e-Sword - something like "e-Sword is freely given and it is illegal to sell copies of it. Please report any violations."
