Title: Nascar at Eldora and No Alchohol at the gate Post by: John 3:16 on February 15, 2005, 11:08:30 PM We just got our letter from the new owner of Eldora, Tony Stewart, promising some changes, but not too much to change the tradition there. Also, at the bottom, it said no alcohol in or out of the gates. We just wonder if that will be enforced now? If so, it might cut down on some of the more serious problems if alcohol could only be purchased inside at the concessions. Also, Stewart said that two events involving Nascar drivers would be held at a to be announced date where some of them could get their feet wet on dirt. He also mentioned that he would strap in for those events. Could this be the beginning of a couple of Nascar on dirt races in the future?
Well, it all sounds exciting and we are dreaming about being there in June. Green Valley and Kentucky Lake and some other events before the Dream will be great, but nothing beats being at Eldora. Thanks Tony Stewart for promising to continue the legacy of Earl. |
