Hi all,

Here is a question that many people might have a lot to say about, so here goes.  Should all Christians support the current war in Iraq, and even a posible invasion of Iran simply by virtue of our faith ?

 That's a loaded question my friend, and I wonder what your motives are.
Let me ask you a question.

 Should all Christians be against the current war in Iraq, and even a posible invasion of Iran simply by virtue of our faith ?  ;)

Although you refused to post an answer to my question, I will offer you a response.  I don't beleive that war is a Christan value. As such, insofar as many world issues, war would not be the ideal Christian response.  I do however see that war is sometimes required in order to maintain security, and protect the citizenry.  Therefore, I do not beleive that Christians ought neccesarily be against the war in Iraq by virtue of their faith, but they should always see it as being horribly unfortunate, and never celebrated.

I hope now that you will find the courage to answer my question, as opposed to shying away.

Don't confuse Cgristianity with pacifism my friend. You will find many, many examples in the Bible where God demands that an enemy be taken on through war, and in some instances literally wiped out. God hates evil. God will wipe out evil.

 Does Jesus subscribe to this theological warring? Jesus is God! HELLO?

 If you think Jesus is just a touchy feely nice God, then consider the following verses...

 Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  


 Rev 19:16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.  


 Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

 Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.  


 Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
