Title: Here am I Post by: Evangelist on December 28, 2004, 03:22:45 PM I would like to share with you a vision that the Lord gave to me in 1980. Other than sharing it with my wife, I have not spoken of this vision with very many others for the primary reason that most who call themselves by the name of Christ have been, and are, ill-equipped to "hear" what is being said. In the past 4 years, though, I have increasingly encountered some who are both strong enough, and "fundamental" enough to see, and understand.
It is my hope that sharing this with you will prove a blessing, and also ignite a fervent desire to "work while there is yet light." I saw the earth, and encircling the globe was a fence...just a common ordinary fence. There were people on both sides of the fence. On one side there was green grass, flowers, etc. A rather pleasant scene, but nothing outstanding. On the other, there were ponds and lakes, rivers, waterfalls...all in all a very attractive looking place to be. By far the vast majority of the people I saw were sitting astride the fence, with one foot on either side. Suddenly, the fence began to change, and it became a sword, a long sharp blade. As this happened, a few managed to get off the fence, and went to one side or the other, but most stayed put, and the fence began to cut them up the middle. By the time the fence had completely changed into a sharp blade, and the people riding it were cut asunder, the land on one side that had looked so attractive suddenly turned into a wasteland, with the people on that side gasping for water, crawling around on their hands and knees while demonic creatures were poking things at them. The Word of the Lord came to me, "For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (from Heb. 4), followed by :"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" (2 Tim 4), and lastly "For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1Pet 4). Over the past 25 years, I have seen more and more the truth of that vision....the world, and the church, is riding a fence, satisfied with trying to have the best of two worlds. In the past 5 years, I have seen a rising up of a few, a remnant, that is insistent upon believing in God's Word, not some manmade tradition or interpretation, and preaching the stark facts....sin, righteousness, and judgment to come. And I have increasingly seen the "church" reject emphatically these words. The Word of God tells us that shortly before the man of sin is revealed, and when Christ comes for His, there will be a "great falling away," or rejection of His truth and Word. While such rejection has been going on for two millennia, I believe that we have reached the point in time when the greatest "falling away" is occurring. I think we would all do well to do as Isaiah said after he saw the Lord lifted high in the temple, and Isaiah recognized his uncleaness. The Lord God cleansed Isaiah, and then asked a question...."who shall I send?" Isaiah said "here am I....send me." Title: Re:Here am I Post by: Shammu on December 28, 2004, 05:36:24 PM That is a very powerful vision, brother Hank. I agree, the fence, is getting sharper. Sooner, more then later choices are going to have to be made. By the way, thats as far as I made it into your post. I would be on the Lawn, to me that would say, "I am the Lord." protecting his till it's time.
Quote Suddenly, the fence began to change, and it became a sword After I post this, I will read the rest of your post. Maybe I will have to modify this one. Resting in peace, in the Lord's arms. Title: Re:Here am I Post by: at_the_Cross on December 28, 2004, 09:29:48 PM I heard a vision like yours about that long ago, only he was taken up between Heaven and the Earth and was asked to choose. Although it seemed nothing more than the temptation of Jesus I was hearing about in his own words, that is, until now. Thank you Evangelist for your vision as scriptures came froth.

Hmm something to think about, what a powerful message. Title: Re:Here am I Post by: Evangelist on January 02, 2005, 06:59:40 PM Evangelist, did you have this vision in a dream, or were you awake? Do you feel that the Lord gave this vision to you, and if so, how do you know it was from Him? Be blessed Silver Surfer "Your young men will have visions, and your old men will dream dreams..." Ahem...not being old (only 65), it was a vision...hehehe. I was wide awake, having been reading the bible (had just finished Job), and was reflecting on Job's words: "I have heard of thee with mine ears, but now I have seen thee with mine eyes, and I abhor myself in dust and ashes." My eyes were closed, but I was not asleep. And yes, it came from the Lord. How do I know? Because every ounce of it could be verified and weighed against scripture. No scripture doesn't show people riding on a fence...but there are many places where it tells of exactly that attitude, for example: "I would that you were hot or cold, but since you are neither hot or cold, but lukewarm, I will vomit thee out of my mouth" (letter to Laodicea, Rev. 3). Finally, why would the devil want me to be concerned about the judgment that is coming, and people being lost? Hasn't he said that "surely God won't..."? Title: Re:Here am I Post by: musicllover on January 03, 2005, 08:36:48 PM WOW,
I read this and I feel so quicken in my spirit, I couldn't agree more with this vision and your interpitation of it. I also feel such a saddness in my heart, first for those on the wront side, then on the fence, and for myself I long to be like Isaiah, yet feel so unworthy, and weak. Shouldn't we each ask just where are we in this vision? Are you fence riding or having a picnic....., it would almost be easier to be on the fence these days, at least you MIGHT get off in time? Interesting that both sides were appealing, but so very much the truth, with so many thinks masquaraiding (spelling) as good in this world today the devil has a counterfeit for all of the Lords good. Even good Christians are desensitized. I appreciate your vision and sharing this with us. I ask the Lord to continue to pour out his wisdom to you friend. Thanks for the remindered, we much make some decisions we need to make. musicllover |
