By Quinn McAuley mcauley@gracepoints.com The cross, truly a mystery. Who was it that hung upon that cruel cross on golgotha nearly 2,000 years ago, and what was it that was accomplished? Accomplished? There were many crucified by the Romans before Jesus of Nazareth, and the only thing those crucifixions accomplished was the brutal, torturous death of yet another miserable sinner. So why was this crucifixion different? What qualifies this particular crucifixion as a mystery? Well, it is a mystery because this particular casualty not only did nothing to deserve such a horrible execution, He had no sin whatsoever. He was made in the likeness of sinful flesh, yet without sin (Romans 8:3 & Hebrews 4:15). He was truly a spotless lamb. Indeed, He was THE one and only spotless Lamb. This crucifixion marks the greatest single event in human history. God the Son going voluntarily to the cross to bear all of mankind's sins upon Himself: a great sin offering for all of humanity, once for all . "And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified" (Hebrews 10:11-14). At the cross of Calvary, the grace of God far eclipsed the sin of man. What does all of this mean to us? The Bible says that all of us have sinned, and are continually falling short of the glory of God. That's the bad news. The good news is that God is declaring wrong people right because He is completely satisfied with Christ's sacrificial death on the cross. This Godly righteousness becomes ours through faith, and faith alone, the moment we accept Christ's death as our own. Won't you accept Christ's death as your's right now? Acts 16:31 Title: Re:THE CROSS Post by: gary cook on December 08, 2004, 03:31:04 AM THE cross with out it we have no hope .With HIS death we have been restored .We now can have full fellowship with our LORD .We can walk with our LORD more than adam and eve .As GOD came to them at times .BUT NOW DWELLS with in us .He has given us great POWER .satan fears us greatly .We can cast out demons ,raise the dead and heal the sick .But we must now walk in FAITH and being led by the HOLY SPIRIT .adam walked in the flesh as did all in the old testament .We now walk in the spirit .We are now NEW CREATURES IN CHRIST .OUR inner being is perfect .This is us .washed in the BLOOD .We now go right to NEW JERUSALEM .Where our LORD is .In the old they went to the center of the earth .to await for JESUS CHRIST to die and set them free .Of course many are there and others still go there waiting for judge ment .But the BORN AGAIn go to the LORD soon as we shed this sinful flesh .in a blink of an eye you are with HIM .faster than light .HIS flesh was not destoryed because it was made from a perfect seed .which our flesh is not .HE is moving toward earth even now to recieve us .I saw it in 1976 it was moving very fast .but was not in our space as ,there were no stars there .But the city was lit by HIS GLORY . I believe ?He will call us up to the city .Then the world will be in tribulation such as never before .millions will die .But many will come to JESUS CHRIST during this time .We are now to recond ourselves dead .He was talking about our flesh .Because we are to walk in our spirit ,led by HIS SPIRIT .Because we let our spirit rule .WE WILL NOT SIN .because satan works though our flesh .it desires to sin and can not help its self .But if the real us takes control .we have no problem .But of course satan will always use people to try to hurt or cause us problems .But our LORD said HE will always make things work out for us .We are called to do the works our lORD JESUS CHRIST did .as HE is our example .HE came to wash feet and give himself for the body .As we must .as we must be long suffering .humble .but bold in the TRUTH .Your testamony is VERY IMPORTANT .Share it where you can .In the name of JESUS CHRIST ,YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUER .YOU HAVE THE VERY SPIRIT OF GOD WITHIN YOU .HE WILL TEACH YOU EVERYTHING .if you let HIM .But we let HIM or hold HIM BACK .WE DO THIS !
