"AS ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord..."(Colossians 2:6). In Him is forgiveness of sins, God's perfect righteousness, and sure hope of heaven. "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation..." (Ephesians 1:13). There is no other way.
