But... I've noticed that an ancient Egyptian 'god' was called 'Amen'. Is there any connection between 'Amen' and our amen we use at the end of a prayer? Title: Re:Amen? Shalom, Nana Amen the Egyptian god is more correctly spelled Amon. This was Egyptian for "hidden". It has nothing to do with the Hebrew word amen. |
