so many times i've questioned certain circumstances things i could not understand many times in trials, weakness blurs my vision then my frustration gets so out of hand its then i am reminded i've never been forsaken i've never had to stand the test alone as i look at all the victories the spirit rises up in me and its through the fire my weakness is made strong he never promised that the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to climb he never offered our victories without fighting but he said help would always come in time just remember when your standing in the valley of decision and the adversary says give in just hold on, our lord will show up and he will take you through the fire again bridge: i know within myself that i would surely perish but if i trust the hand of god, he'll shield the flames again Title: Re:What are you listening to right now. I've stood for the Gospel When it seemed I stood alone And through the heartaches and frustration I kept my focus on the Throne So many times I have recalled The Savior's words so true 'If you won't be ashamed of me Then I won't be of you' So I'll proudly stand until I see The face of the One who gave Everything for me When the reason that I'm standing Stands in front of me Every battle that I've fought Will fade from memory I'll bow before His mighty throne And fall down on my knees When the reason that I'm standing Stands in front of me The road has not been easy At times I lost my way So often I have stumbles Searching for the light of day Circumstances all around me I thought I'd surely fall When the whispering of doubt fear Told me 'You will lose it all' But He kept me with His Amazing Grace And someday soon I'll have the chance To thank Him face to face We will join the millions Every kindred tongue and race Every child of God that day Will look upon His face And the heroes and the martyrs Who died on the Pagan sword We'll all stand together And declare, 'JESUS IS LORD' When the reason that I'm standing Stands in front of me Title: Re:What are you listening to right now. Title: Re:What are you listening to right now. Post by: Shammu on December 30, 2004, 04:23:25 PM Bad Dude Risin' by ApologetiX
Parody of "Bad Moon Risin'" by CCR (2 Thessalonians 2) I see a bad dude arisin’; I see the devil on the way I see a master of disguises; I see the world led astray Don’t fall for the lies ‘cause he’s just a fake, not Christ There’s a bad dude on the rise I read in Second Thessalonians; I know the man is comin’ soon He’ll set himself upon the throne and he’ll get the world to play his tune Don’t get all surprised ‘cause he comes before the Christ First the bad dude must arise He’ll bring the countries all together. They’ll see his miracles and signs They’ll think this world is gettin’ better. They’ll find he’s really anti-Christ "But by the Word God's given him." John the Baptist washed the Lord and there's where it all starts Cause Jesus left the Jordan and the devil hit Him hard And if He wins we get to walk on Heaven's streets of gold But if He sins, the devil gets your soul The devil took Him up in space and said, "Christ, start to throw "Yourself off of this temple top as I'm watchin' from below "Cause I'm sure You know that God will bring “All His angels to assist “And then men would believe that You're Him “If they saw You did something like this" When the devil finished, Jesus said "Well, you're temptin' God, old son And it's written down in that book right there That thing shouldn't ever be done” Shout from the mountain what God's done The devil ain't a match for the rising Son You can never tempt God, did you not know Man, he doesn't live by bread alone The devil finally said, "Jesus, if You'll just worship me Then I’ll give you gold that glitters All these crowns, and all You see" Jesus said, "Devil, just turn on back Cause I'm never gonna buy your scam I love God too much, I'm gonna resist I'd suggest you'd better scram!" And we say CHORUS ©2002 Parodudes Music, Inc. Title: Re:What are you listening to right now. Just Over The Hilltop I'm satisfied with just a cottage below A little silver and a little gold But in that city where the ransomed will shine I want a gold one that's silver lined I've got a mansion just over the hilltop In that bright land where we'll never grow old And some day yonder we will never more wander But walk on streets that are purest gold Though often tempted, tormented, and tested And like the prophet my pillow's a stone And though I find here no permanent dwelling I know He'll give me a mansion my own I've got a mansion just over the hilltop In that bright land where we'll never grow old And some day yonder we will never more wander But walk on streets that are purest gold Don't think me poor or deserted or lonely I'm not discouraged I'm heaven bound I'm but a pilgrim in search of the city I want a mansion, a harp and a crown I've got a mansion just over the hilltop In that bright land where we'll never grow old And some day yonder we will never more wander But walk on streets that are purest gold Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause I'd rather have Jeus than world wide fame I'd rather be true to his Holy name. Just as I am, without one plea, But that Thy blood was shed for me, And that Thou bidst me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Just as I am, and waiting not To rid my soul of one dark blot, To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Just as I am, though tossed about With many a conflict, many a doubt, Fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind; Sight, riches, healing of the mind, Yea, all I need in Thee to find, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Just as I am, Thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; Because Thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Just as I am, Thy love unknown Hath broken every barrier down; Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. Just as I am, of that free love The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove, Here for a season, then above, O Lamb of God, I come, I come! Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, Calling for you and for me; See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching, Watching for you and for me. Come home, come home, You who are weary, come home; Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, Calling, O sinner, come home! Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading, Pleading for you and for me? Why should we linger and heed not His mercies, Mercies for you and for me? Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing, Passing from you and from me; Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming, Coming for you and for me. O for the wonderful love He has promised, Promised for you and for me! Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon, Pardon for you and for me. Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. Looking back at all I've done it seems like I was on the run Couldn't pave the way for my own life to follow I realized I was in need the day it all came clear to me You are the only way I need you in my life You saved me from this troubled world we're livin' in And I can't thank you more enough with the words that I speak You saved me from this troubled world we're livin' in There are no words that justify the feeling within me Here we are as living proof you need to go and search for truth Don't just waste your time move on and start your life And now that I am here with you there's just no doubt you've brought me through With your open arms you've brought me a new life You saved me from this troubled world I'd like to thank you for that Google the band's name if you're interested in listening to the song. I'm so very ordinary Nothing special on my own I have never walked on water I have never calmed a storm Sometimes I'm hiding away from the madness around me Like a child who's afraid of the dark CHORUS: But when I call on Jesus All things are possible I can mount on wings like eagles and soar When I call on Jesus Mountains are gonna fall 'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call Lalalala.... Weary brother Broken daughter Widowed, widowed lover You're not alone If you're tired and scared of the madness around you If you can't find the strength to carry on CHORUS Call Him in the mornin' In the afternoon time Late in the evenin' He'll be there When your heart is broken And you feel discouraged You can just remember that He said He'll be there Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. And the voice I hear, falling on my ear; The Son of God discloses. Refrain And He walks with me, And He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own, And the joy we share as we tarry there; None other has ever known. He speaks and the sound of His voice Is so sweet the birds hush their singing, And the melody that He gave to me Within my heart is ringing. Refrain And He walks with me, And He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own, And the joy we share as we tarry there; None other has ever known. I'd stay in the garden with Him 'Tho the night around me be falling, But He bids me go; through the voice of woe, His voice to me is calling. Parody of "Yesterday" by the Beatles (Psalm 95:7-8; Hebrews 3:7-8, 3:15, 4:7) If today you should hear His voice don't turn away Now's the time that you should kneel and pray And finally say yes today Suddenly you might have to spend eternity In a place you never want to be Say yes today and just believe Christ – He died for all -- there's no soul He wouldn't save There's just one thing you have to do – say yes today "Yes" today seems like such an easy thing to say All you need is faith, so why delay? Say, "I believe," and "yes" today Why you might say no, I don't know ... I couldn't say I'd say something's wrong if you don't say "Yes" today Yes, today might just be your final chance to pray All you need is faith, so why delay? Say, "I believe," and "yes" today Mmmmmmmmm Hebrews 3:15 As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." JEREMY CAMP LYRICS "This Man" In only a moment truth Was seen revealed this mystery The crown that showed no dignity he wore And the king was placed for all the world To show disgrace but only beauty flowed from this place Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands He held the weight of impurity The father would not see The reasons had finally come to be to Show the depth of his grace flowed with Every sin erased he knew that this was Why he came Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands And we just don't know the blood and Water flowed and in it all He showes just how much he cares And the veil was torn so we could have This open door and all these things have Finally been complete Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands Would you take the place of this man Would you take the nails from his hands From his hands From his hands From his hands From his hands From his hands Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. (http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i160/tlr10/357/welcome.gif) I sincerely hope that you enjoy Christians Unite. Love In Christ, Tom Favorite Bible Quotes 9 - 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. Post by: HisDaughter on November 26, 2008, 01:58:21 PM A couple years ago my local Christian station used to play a version of Amazing Grace that I absolutely fell in love with. Since I was unfamiliar with the artist I could never remember his name. I would look whenever I was wanting to buy a new CD and just couldn't figure it out. Nothing seemed to fit in the titles.
Finally, a couple of weeks ago I contacted the station via email and we emailed back and forth a bit, with suggestions and failures. I was getting so discouraged, thinking I'd never find it again and the song would be lost to me. I desparately sent out an All Points Bullitin in an email at work and low and behold one of my coworkers knew exactly what I was talking about! It is "Grace Like Rain"! by Todd Agnew!! As I said, I'm not real familiar with this artist but I went out and bought the CD right away. (Actually, I didn't go right out...I found it on Amazon!) It came yesterday and I am enjoying it this morning while I wait for my daughter to pick me up to spend the night and cook tomorrow at her place. I am loving this CD. I bought it for that one song, but this guy has a "bluesy" sound, and I've always loved Blues! ....Aren't you all just tickled pink for me?! ;D Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. Blessed Be Your Name In the land that is plentiful Where your streams of abundance flow Blessed be your name Blessed Be Your name When I'm found in the desert place Though I walk through the wilderness Blessed Be Your name Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise When the darkness closes in Still I will say Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be Your name Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be Your glorious name Blessed be Your name When the sun's shining down on me When the world's 'all as it should be' Blessed be Your name Blessed be Your name On the road marked with suffering Though there's pain in the offering Blessed be Your name Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise When the darkness closes in Still I will say Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be Your name Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be Your glorious name Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be Your name Blessed be the name of the Lord Blessed be Your glorious name You give and take away You give and take away My heart will choose to say Lord Blessed be your name Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. Post by: phillip on January 11, 2009, 09:52:05 PM I listen to Stephen Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, Twila Paris, and Carmen. I also like the Gaithers and Southern Gospel Music since I am from the South wher we still believe in old-fashioned Chriistian values and good Christian mlusic.
Title: Re: What are you listening to right now. Post by: nChrist on January 12, 2009, 09:43:34 AM Hello Phillip,
I love listening to the Gaithers, especially what they call their Homecoming Specials on television. They usually have many of the older groups that I really enjoy. I don't know anything about some of the new folks. I also enjoy the older Southern Gospel that usually includes quartets, some country-type styles, some bluegrass-type styles, and really some styles that are hard to describe. For a few others, I like the Happy Goodmans, The Blackwood Brothers, The Stamps Quartet, The Sunshine Boys, The Cathedrals, and many other old groups who all loved the LORD. Love In Christ, Tom 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Title: Re: What are you listening to right now.
