Title: Kids in England are so vicious. Would religion teach them a world of good? Post by: Hurting on October 09, 2004, 11:02:38 AM So, in Hull where I live, some people are incredibly nasty. I was mentally abused, and one my best friends was and it hurt me. People say nasty things, and if only there were more schools of a religious teaching, maybe youths would improve? Wow, Im like 18 and a atheist and I saying stuff like this?

You also find that people can be harsh towards you but, God will help out. I feel no hate towards anyone. I love everyone the same. My sisters and brothers in Christ, feel love and peace most of the time. When we feel hate or bitterness coming, we pray to God to lift the feelings.

I imagine it can be pretty bad. Yes, DW is right. We as Christians are susceptible to the same temptations to anger or revenge, etc., that everyone else is. Sometimes I think others about us, who tempt us to 're-act', are put there for a reason: 'Whether for correction, or for his land, or for love, he causes it to happen.' (Job 37:13) Sometimes I think that the conflict about me, that I have with others, is there to find out what is in me(sometimes I can be the very cause of the conflict I see in others!). We as human beings have to learn who we are not. Circumstances are sometimes put here to examine what I really think, and where I really put my faith. Those who are inherrantly evil, will pass away. The question is, Who do I serve? Who do I say that the Lord Jesus is? Is He Lord? :) Title: Re:Kids in England are so vicious. Would religion teach them a world of good? Post by: Aiden on October 13, 2004, 08:17:22 PM I think the further society gets away from following God's commandments, the more erratic and irrational it becomes. It appears that God's commandments are just arbitrary rules and regulations meant for us to deprive ourselves of joy, but that he knows how humans and all creation works, so he tells us the best way to live happily. God is the creator of reason just as much as he is the god of faith. Hurting, I will be praying for you. If there's anything specific you'd like me to pray for just post it up or message me.
