Title: Mind Control - the News Media Post by: Symphony on October 06, 2004, 10:13:03 PM I was just realizing how the news media, in all their different venues, but mainly, in this case, newspapers, control how people think. They make editorial decisions everyday, keeping some stories, throwing away others, and putting their own emphasis or slant on them, on the ones they do publish. I was just thinking, wittingly or unwittingly, how powerful the news media really are. They can control and cause people to think in a certain way. They really control - to a large degree - what we think, how we think, and when we think about it. Title: Re:Mind Control - the News Media Post by: Shammu on October 07, 2004, 03:51:13 AM Yes, I do think they can some-what control what people think. By censorship, the media is a controlling figure in todays society. :'(

Sensationalism has sunk to a new low. Historically, 'yellow journalism' was bad. Now it's expected! :-X Title: Re:Mind Control - the News Media Post by: Symphony on October 07, 2004, 11:38:14 PM It prioritizes what we think, and how we think. Thinking is very critical to human existence. And it influences, or even controls, that. Many of the thoughts we wouldn't ever be thinking, except for the news media. The pro argument is that it 'enlightens' us. ::) Title: Re:Mind Control - the News Media Post by: Expose on October 10, 2004, 07:29:40 AM I am So Glad that someone here has already recognized this. It is sad and disturbing, however, to note that the widespread information has not reached these shores yet.
Take back the media, From The Illuminati. The children of Esau will not take over without resistance. Bush knew. He knew, he helped. He did nothing to stop it. Bush had a hand in September 11th's tradgedy happening, And Kerry will be no different. http://www.tbtmradio.com/geeklog/public_html/staticpages/index.php?page=20040606205339801 We've already heard from both sides that Iran is in the scope. These third cousin Illuminists will stop at nothing to achieve their goal of a One World Government, with objectives so written in the "Georgia Guidestones", the "American Stonehenge." It is the season of Revelation. Are you aware? A chronological timeline of the Illuminati, and a full explanation of the "Seal" of the US on One Dollar Bills. Novus Ordo Seclorum http://pages.prodigy.net/markrm/exposed3.html A more breif, more detailed, and more to date analysis of the Illuminati, Council on Forign Relations, Royal Institute of International Affairs, CIA, FBI, etc. Some of you might see familiar names here. Tri Lateral Commision, Bilderberg Group, Skull & Bones, and Freemasonry to name a few. http://www.apfn.org/apfn/illuminati.htm Title: Re:Mind Control - the News Media Post by: sincereheart on October 11, 2004, 08:06:27 AM "If you don't read the newspaper your are uninformed, and if you do read it, you are misinformed." ~Mark Twain Title: Re:Mind Control - the News Media Post by: 2nd Timothy on October 11, 2004, 08:12:30 AM I get all my news from the internet which is accurate and correct...ROF! :P

Straight from the Communist Manifesto it seems. The main way of changing a culture and thought process is through public education. I have grown up for years in the public school system thinking that evolution was an accepted law, when it is only a theory that is taught as law.
Both these venues of brainwash (whether intentional or not) would have us think that everyone is a hedonistic relativist. But the truth is that while many people are such, plenty remain that believe in morals. Thus, we should prevent the contagious fatalism seen so often in Christian history from prophets speaking of imminent destruction. Take Care. -Aiden- |
