Brothers and Sisters,

I had the big appointment today with my doctor to go over all of the tests I've had over the last several weeks. My prayers were answered, and I sincerely appreciate your prayers for me.

The little bit of bad news was overwhelmed by the ton of good news, much more than I prayed for. I do have new areas of disease in my spine, but there is no sign of infection. Here's the big ones: (1) Surgery was not recommended, (2) The calcium covered and fused portions of my spine are straight and not twisted. If I understand things correctly, crooked or twisted would have meant they would be removed. UM?? - Let's see - I start out with a towering height of 5'8" and end up  at 5'4" inches or less, if my calculations are correct. <grin> So, I stay at the towering and impressive height of 5'8". I was just thinking that I did absolutely nothing to deserve God being so good to me, but I also know that I did absolutely nothing to deserve Jesus dying for me.

What I really prayed for was a change of medication and be sent home, and that prayer has been more than answered. I believe strongly in the power of prayer, and that is one of the joys of Christians Unite. We care for one another, and we pray for each other.

Lord we thank you for the good news for our Mr. Beapster! As You know this man is a blessing to many of Your kids. Thanks for giving him good news and happier times with his beloved family.
