My sister has 2 cats. I like it when she brings it to our house (she doesnt live with mom and dad anymore.) Why? I really hate bugs and there always seems to be less bugs around when those cats are around. They're also fun to watch; they play with a bug and then eat it when its not fun to play with anymore.  :)

Cats are Great for leg warmers durning winter. They lay on my legs and their fur feels so nice and warm. ;D

If you have 'em stuffed, you can get the same effect and you get the bonus of not having to feed 'em!  ;D

That's almost ridiculous enough to not even deserve a reply, but, not quite, obviously. I can just say that I have my own dog and she is the most loving creature anybody could ever expect to have. Furthermore, the only love I've ever recieved from a cat is a few good scratches. And it's no wonder they didn't have CATS exploring the rubbel of the World Trade Towers for survivors, or roaming the Alps looking for injured skiiers, or sniffing for bombs at airports, or guarding people's houses, OR being Man's Best Friend. So THERE!  >:( . . .  :)

And thats goes for you, too!           :P

Lastly, I'd like to say that sincereheart is the only person with any sense on this thread, except for possibly Willowbirch, and in honor of that I have reserved my 111th post for her. (11 is my favorite number, in case you didn't know)    8) :P :)

Cats (at least my two) are good bed/seat warmers. They also play with the dog. Keep the floor clean from toddler food left overs, and exterminate anything in the house that doesn't belong.


Cats are not good for scaring off the door to door salesmen. That also are bad at leaving my socks alone.

But over all we love them.

Wrong then they don't purr, which feels good on my legs.

I have been bitten to many times by dogs!!  THEREFORE I don't like DOGS YOYO!!

Well, that may be the case, but no dog that is properly trained will bite out of animosity unless it feels like its owners are threatened, which only proves that they are very loving and protecting.

Cats are good for knocking you unconsious, mine is anyway.  She loves to give you head butts.  Sometimes it hurts.  They are also good for efoliating your face.

Cats are good for training your reflexes. You have to have very good reflexes with a cat so you can jump out of the way when they try to claw your eyes out.  :P

My Cat is my baby boy Snowy, he has NEVER tried to claw me at all!!!!!

Yeah, IF they're declawed. You can also detooth a shark and then you'll have a GREAT pet.  :P

Yup. The only ones that do that are those with claws.  ;) So if you get rid of all the things that make a cat a cat, then they're fine as pets!  ;D

I declawed a cat once.  Poor thing didn't walk so good on the stumps though... ;D hehe

Cats are good for loving kindness, their affection is wonderful when you have the right kitty!!   ;D

I think cats would make wonderful additions to the decor - stuffed and mounted!  ;D

I am beginning to realize how one can be "tortured" by a cat...

I'm kitty-sitting for a lady while she recovers from surgery. She has 18 cats (used to be 23, but "mysteriously" they escaped...) There are 8 regular litter boxes, and two small swimming pools of litter besides, all of which are full within 24 hours...there is brown, sticky stuff on the kitchen floor every morning, and lots of pawprints that apparently passed through it...

Two kitties think they are Tarzan; I am constantly checking over my shoulder in terror, wondering when I will be violently attacked. It is hot today. I am sweating. BAM! There's a cat on my back, digging in with sixteen claws, draping itself around my neck like an insane, living fur mantle of deadly warmth...he thinks I love him THAT MUCH!
BAM! There's another cat, on the other shoulder, shoving its grisly, whiskered nose in my face. It jumps onto the washing machine, and then to the top of a cabinet. Where'd she go? I don't see her...AAAA!!
My glasses go flying. I am about to be permanently blinded by two white paws and a grinning face. There are claws tangled in my hair. It hurts as I wrench a struggling, purring cat off my head. I will need therapy. Maybe even surgery. This lady can watch her own depraved creatures. This is a Hitchcock novel.

They hate me.
