Title: Names of persons Post by: sonny on June 15, 2004, 03:41:48 AM What do you call a person who asks and argues about the teachings of the bible by his Elders?
What do you call a person who listens and agrees to what the Elders teach? I have learnt about these names before but cannot recall. Can anyone who has good head knowledge please enlighten me. Many thanks and God Bless. Title: Names of persons Post by: Brother Love on June 15, 2004, 06:30:09 AM What do you call a person who asks and argues about the teachings of the bible by his Elders? I cannot recall these terms as I have studied them long ago but cannot remember due to my poor memory. Actually, it's a term used to describe a person who always queries on bible topics to seek enlightenment, perhaps, looking at the natural rather than the spiritual issues. Hope to get more answers. God Bless.

Are these names derived from scripture or from man? Are you looking for identifiers, descriptions, or titles? My answers are as close as I can come without leaving the Bible. If that is what you search for. If names that man in and of himself has applied, then I donot have the answer. I donot know them. Title: Re:Names of persons Post by: Bronzesnake on June 21, 2004, 02:18:33 AM You may be looking for "agnostic"

I guess it must be an Identifiers or perhaps a Title. It is definitely not from the Bible as I know my scriptures pretty well. I will try to search my old bible study files in the hope that I could find these Identifiers or Titles. God Bless.
Title: Re:Names of persons Post by: sonny on June 21, 2004, 04:09:23 AM Have checked my old bible notes for these Identifiers - no success. "Agnostic" may be quite near it. However, if my memory permits, I can recall vaguely that these words are not of the English language. Could be in the Greek or Hebrew language...
