Title: When?
Post by: Corpus on May 22, 2003, 04:36:49 PM
"Our earth is degenerate in these latter days; bribery and corruption are common; children no longer obey their parents; and the end of the world is evidently approaching."
--Assyrian clay tablet 2800 B.C.

Some things never change...

One distinction might be that today things really are "global"--where anyone can be found virtually anywhere, anytime--global surveillance.

And "instant" communications.  And an internet where stories and news ignite literally instantaneously.

One latest twist might be the audio chat rooms-- intense conference calls without the expense of traditional telephones.

And global travel.  Moving vast armies in weeks or months, to the other side of the planet..

Everything today literally on a global scale.

How much more "global" can you get?

Everything is not quite as global as you put it. The world is linked together in many ways yes, but we still remain seperated. School systems teach to their own local standards, not a global program. Nations still compete against each other for power, money, and land, that proves that these 3 assets are also seperate between nations. We are much more "global" than we were when the first quote came out, but we are not purely global.

What about these debit cards. I know its a convenient way of doing business. But it sure makes the one world system look closer and closer. My mom is a big one to say NO DON"T get that computer, no don't .........maybe so but then if its prophecied in the scriptures its going to happen no matter who or does or doesn't get involved. Someday I wonder how God can take another moment dealing with us. I can't wait for the day that I can worship him with out the burden of this carnal mind, and body.
Glory,

Why does it seeems the ones most 'homesick for Jesus' are the first ones to call the preacher for prayer when they get sick?

Any interested in finding out how children don't obey their parents let me know, I have 6, (2 away from home) and one grandchild you can barrow? What did they do back in BC to discipline their kids anyway.  Spare the rod, I didn't, I hold on the promises of God, raise a child in the way they should go.............by the hair of my teeth some days.....hey and these are those store bought kind got to hold on real tight too ;D
