Just before I fall asleep I hear people talking outside and in my head sometimes I can hear what their saying other times I cant yet there's no one there and the tv's not on  . And I tend to still be awake and yet see images in my head  that seem just as vivid as a dream like I can see faces clearly in my head and detail and color its like a dream yet im not sleeping.Does anyone know what this is?  ???

Sounds more like you are in the first stage of sleep, then awake. This happend to a lot of people. Like your partly awake, but still dreaming. However, if you are wide awake, I would honestly suggest you see a Doc about this.

When you do understand them, what kind of things are they saying?

Its kinda hard to just narrow it down to because I end up falling to sleep shortly and forgetting what I heard maybe I should write it down before I don't know. Well, sometimes they call my name not in a scary scifi way just like a normal person woman or male's voice other times they  just talk to each other about like normal things people talk about I try to join the conversation not too sound crazy are anything im just curious just too see if they'll respond no sucess yet. Like one will say What do you think she's doing and out of the blue and the other will laugh usually something weird like that.

Yes, sounds like of like you are drifting off to sleep. Nothing out of the norm. Try to interact more, lucid dreaming can be fun ;D

I have had similar experiences...I will be nearly asleep, and I'll "hear" my name, but usually I know that it wasn't real.

When I was younger, I would "hear" someone calling me, and once I came running down the stairs to see what my mom wanted...she said she hadn't called, and then told me the story of Samuel in the temple...for a few years afterwards, whenever I'd hear my name at night, I'd say, "Yes, Lord, I'm listening; what is it?"  ;D ;D ;D
