Title: Oh, what a day! Post by: HopeAndFaith on March 17, 2004, 12:18:52 AM Have you ever had one of these days?
It started out really good. For the first time in months i actually prayed, praised and studied the word, all in one day. It was awesome! My 3 yr old daughter praised with me, and raised her hands while she sang for the 2nd time in the last few days. Enter night.... No nap and a milk shake later... we get home from eating out and all you know what breaks out. Crying, screaming, temper tantrums, refusing to stay in time out, all lasting over 35 minutes. Then my daughter decided it was her turn. ;D No, but seriously, coincidence? i think not. I guess the enemy is really ticked off right now. Title: Re:Oh, what a day! YES!!!! (well, not just 'one' :-[) Then my daughter decided it was her turn. ROFL! It caught me off-guard! No, but seriously, coincidence? i think not. I guess the enemy is really ticked off right now. Yup! As long as you're not a threat, why should he bother ? ;) Title: Re:Oh, what a day! Post by: Lizquests on March 17, 2004, 09:57:20 AM I definately had those kinds of days when my son was that age. I used to think that it would go on forever. Well, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. ;) He is now nine and pretty much since he was 4/5 years old, he has pretty much been an angel. I don't think I could ask for a better kid.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Although the enemy may come at us one way, he will have to flee from us seven ways. Deuteronomy 28:7 As Christians, I believe that the more we praise God, the more the devil tries to tempt us...But from what I have read, there is hope in faith. ;D Title: Re:Oh, what a day! Spiritual warfare can only be expected when God receives His glory. My prayers are with you-keep it up! It will get worse for a while, but it will taper off when the enemy sees he is only making you more holy! Many blessings to you and your family! We're here for your support. Title: Re:Oh, what a day! Post by: HopeAndFaith on March 17, 2004, 07:52:35 PM Thanks very much SincereHeart, Lizquests, and Whitehorse! :) I must be doing something right because we had rounds 2 and three today. I ain't ready to quit yet, rest assured.
Quote Yup! As long as you're not a threat, why should he bother ? So true. I am trying really hard also to forgive my mom about some stuff, and stop my anger and judgement towards her. I guess the enemy is seeking to "steal , kill and destroy" my joy. I just have to keep putting on my armor!Quote I definately had those kinds of days when my son was that age. I used to think that it would go on forever. Well, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. He is now nine and pretty much since he was 4/5 years old, he has pretty much been an angel. I don't think I could ask for a better kid. I know my daughter is wonderful, made of God. I am just trying to focus on the positives... she speaks her mind, is willing to put up a fight, she is persistant, and doesn't shy away from conflict. ;D On the other hand, she is so sensitive... 3 weeks ago, when i got the bad news from my doc and was spotting, starting a miscarriage, she was so sweet. we explained to her at the doctors office that the baby is with Jesus, and He would take care of him. so later in the day, i stood in the kitchen crying, she came up and hugged my leg and said, "Its ok, mommy, the baby is with Jesus. Its ok." Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Although the enemy may come at us one way, he will have to flee from us seven ways. Deuteronomy 28:7 Thanks for ths awesome scripture quotes, good reminders! Quote It will get worse for a while, but it will taper off when the enemy sees he is only making you more holy! I sincerely pray that this is the case.Title: Re:Oh, what a day! Post by: Reba on March 17, 2004, 08:52:30 PM Days like that are what is so great about being a Grandma! We can send em back ;)

I will definately keep you and your family in my prayers. Keep in touch and let us know how things are going. YSIC |
