Why do they feel the need to take just one verse and then use the surgeons scalpel and microscope to each portion of that verse? Read the entire chapter to gain proper context. There were people that were doubting the resurrection at the second coming. 1. We are all sinners. 2. Christ died for our sins and rose the third day (resurrected). 3. Those who believe, confess their sins and accept Christ as their Savoiur are saved. 4. Those who are saved will rise (including those who are dead) at the second coming of Christ therefore resurrected just as Jesus was.
Title: Re: ARE YOU SURE YOU WILL BE RESURRECTED ? Post by: dan p on June 25, 2021, 08:00:27 PM And there are answers to 1 Cor 15:29 and we know that the Sadducee , did not believe in the resurrection .
1 Cor 15:29 is there for a reason and I will present my explanation of it . Reading Rom 6:3 that as many were PLACED / BAPTIZO into His death . And by the way the Greek word HIS /AUTOS is a Personal possessive pronoun . And in verse 4 we were through this BAPTISMA ( which is the Holy spirit which means that He is the only BAPTIZER ) in the age of Grace , like in Eph 4:5 , called ( ONE BAPTIZER ) So all believers That are in the B O C will be resurrected , because threy are baptized for the dead , by the Holy Spirit . dan p Title: Re: ARE YOU SURE YOU WILL BE RESURRECTED ? Post by: Shammu on June 26, 2021, 12:52:36 PM Some Corinthian Christians were baptized vicariously on behalf of some who’d already died, seeking a spiritual benefit. The problem with this view, though, is twofold. First, there is no precedent for baptism for the dead in the Bible, the early church, or pagan religions. No one knows who did it or what spiritual benefit they sought. Secondly the notion of Christians being baptizing for the sake of those who’ve died offends the Bible. It's like a magical sacramentalism. It is contradict justification by faith alone.

They believe in the bible and also there Historical book . But could not explain verse 3 , Greek word HIS / AUTOS which is a Personal possessive Pronoun in the Genitive Case . Or explain 6:4 NOT / OV which is a Disjunctive Particle Pronoun , which is NEGATIVE . Check blue Letter Bible and all will see , what I saw . dan p Title: Re: ARE YOU SURE YOU WILL BE RESURRECTED ? Post by: Soldier4Christ on June 27, 2021, 09:35:28 AM Yes, when we accept Christ as our Saviour we are are baptized by the Holy Spirit and we are indeed baptized into the death of Jesus Christ. The old man in us dies and we are born again. The doctrine of baptizing the dead is a false doctrine as salvation is a personal decision that we cannot make for anyone else including those who are already dead.
