The Patriot Post® · Happy Christmahanakwamadanice?

By Mark Alexander · Dec. 20, 2017 · https://patriotpost.us/alexander/53063

“How many observe Christ’s birth-day! How few, his precepts! O! ‘tis easier to keep Holidays than Commandments.” —Benjamin Franklin (1743)

Happy Christmahanakwamadanice1!

Is that PC enough for you? Wouldn’t want to ruffle any “fascist feathers2” by saying “Merry Christmas”!

Years ago, The Patriot Post coined “Christmahanakwamadanice” to encompass Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan and Solstice. That was in response, albeit ludicrously so, to the fashionably PC crowd’s demands for “inclusive” greetings. They insist the word “Christmas” is too ethnocentric for corporate use, and that it would violate their fake “Wall of Separation3” should a government employee accidentally utter the “C” word.

Needless to say, in The Patriot Post’s humble shop, it’s still “Merry Christmas,” as it is once again in the White House4.

We began this year with gratitude, renewed purpose and enthusiasm5. And what a year it’s been.

As we approach the one-year mark of Donald Trump’s6 presidency, America is well on its way to restored greatness again. Of course, you wouldn’t know it by listening to the mass media7 ad fillers, which hate Trump with a passion and will do everything in its collective power to throw shade on his accomplishments.

Our economy is surging toward 4% GDP, and unemployment is at a 17-year low of 4.1%.

Republicans in Congress finally passed8 historic tax restructuring9 (not to be confused with the original 1773 tax reform act10 by the Sons of Liberty in Boston harbor.

Moreover, government regulations, the hidden tax on all Americans, have been cut11 at a record pace. Indeed, President Donald John Trump is undoing much of the damage caused by Barack Hussein Obama did with his pen and his phone.

And our military strength and national security12 are also well on the way to restoration.

Notably, this was also the year we observed the centennial of the humanitarian nightmare known as communism13, and exposed nationalist and democratic socialism for what they are — Marxist socialism behind a façade. The history of failed socialism notwithstanding, the enemies of Liberty14 funding America’s socialist Democrat Party15 have deep pockets and are dumping billions of dollars to stop the surging conservative agenda.

Despite all the rancorous partisanship over the last two years, our Patriot team never fails to seek what is “true, noble, just and pure16,” to reflect on the many things good and right about our great nation. In doing so, we should welcome every sunrise17 as “morning again in America,” every dawn as affirmation that, in the words of Ronald Reagan18, “America’s best days are yet to come. Our proudest moments are yet to be. Our most glorious achievements are just ahead.”

Indeed, the Reagan model for restoration19 was based on the sum total of our nation’s history, and it is as applicable today as ever.

No less important, we should welcome every sunset with the same optimism and the same indomitable spirit as a fellow Patriot from Reagan’s generation, John Wayne20: “There’s a lot of things great about life. But I think tomorrow is the most important thing. Comes in to us at midnight very clean, ya know. It’s perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we’ve learned something from yesterday.”

Let us remember that the burden we bear on behalf of Liberty is also borne by tens of millions of fellow American Patriots21 who are, likewise, committed to our nation’s First Principles22.

As I ask on occasion, pause with me to take account of who forms our Patriot ranks.

We are Sons and Daughters of Liberty23, we are Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen, and we are first responders and public servants standing in harm’s way at home and around the world while remaining loyal in our sacred oath to “support and defend24” our authentic Constitution25 and its enshrinement of Liberty10 — the unalienable Rights of Man26.

We are grassroots leaders and local, state and national officeholders who, likewise, honor that commitment to Liberty.

We are mothers, fathers and other family members nurturing the next generation of young Patriots. We are farmers, craftsmen, tradesmen and industrial producers. We are small business owners, service providers and professionals in medicine and law. We are employees and employers. We are in ministry at home and on missions abroad. We are students and professors at colleges and universities, often standing alone for what is good and right.

We are producers and consumers, and taxpayers and voters.

We are not defined by race, creed, ethnicity, religion, wealth, education, geography or political affiliation, but by our devotion to our Creator, and the Liberty He has entrusted to us, one and all.

We are heirs to the blessings of Liberty bequeathed to us at great personal cost by our Patriot forebears, confirmed in the opinion that it is our duty to God and Country to extend that blessing to our posterity, and avowed upon our sacred honor to that end.

Fellow Patriots, stand unified and hold the line into the coming year and beyond. Stand firm in the knowledge that our Creator is Just and Merciful.

In keeping with this blessed Christmas season, I invite you to visit our Patriot Christmas page27, which provides some insight on the history and current context for the celebration of Christmas.

At the end of each year, I insist that our Patriot Post team takes leave between Christmas and the New Year to be with their families and to reflect on the year past as well as the year to come. We will return on 2 January 2018.

I humbly ask your prayers for our Patriot team, that we would be tireless in our mission in defense of Liberty, and that we would continue to seed and encourage the spirit of Liberty in the hearts and minds of our countrymen.

In the words of George Washington28, “May the father of all mercies scatter light, and not darkness, upon our paths, and make us in all our several vocations useful here, and in His own due time and way everlastingly happy.”

May the Father of all mercies scatter Light upon our paths, and may it shine bright upon you, your family and our great nation in the coming year.

Merry Christmas, fellow Patriots!
