Psalm 100
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Eph 1:3-7

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

I really liked Psalm 103, Whitehorse! Especially verse 11...

"For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;"

Thanks for mentioning it!

I like those Scriptures, SH, LOL! Especially the Hebrews verse! ;D

And Reba, those are great! Especially verse 4, I really liked that part.

Here's more verses I liked, in 1 Thessalonians 5:

14   Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15   See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Isn't that so pretty? 'Ever follow that which is good'. I just like that. ;D

Amen, NateyCakes!

And that's awesome, that verse... Something to live by for sure!

Here's another good one...

“For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him.”

Colossians 1:16

It's good to remember that... :)

Sorry, this is going to be kind of long....I can never just stop at one or two....once they start coming to mind they just keep rolling on by  ;D

I love this one (even found a group who has turned it into a song!):

Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.
Psa 1:2  But his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night.
Psa 1:3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of water that brings forth its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf shall not wither, and all which he does shall be blessed.

And this....

Psa 147:1  Praise Jehovah; for it is good to sing praises to our God; for praise is delightful and becoming.
Psa 147:2  Jehovah builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
Psa 147:3  He heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds.
Psa 147:4  He appoints the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names.
Psa 147:5  Great is our LORD, and of great power; There is no limit to His understanding.

And I like this because it reminds me to continue seeking and learning, instead of thinking I know it all, not desiring to be a fool...

Pro 1:7  The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

And how to have wisdom and where it comes from:

Pro 2:6  For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Pro 2:7  He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.
Pro 2:8  He keeps the paths of judgment, and guards the way of His saints.
Pro 2:9  Then you shall understand righteousness and judgment and honesty, every good path.
Pro 24:3  Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;
Pro 24:4  and by knowledge the rooms shall be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

And this because it reminds of who God is, and what He has done for me:

Col 1:13 For He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son;
Col 1:14  in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of sins.
Col 1:15  who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all creation.
Col 1:16  For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17  And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
Col 1:18  And He is the Head of the body, the church, who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that He may be pre-eminent in all things.
Col 1:19  For it pleased the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell.

....I can't really say I have a "most" favourite. At certain times some are so appropriate to a situation they are my "favourite" then....

What verses of Scripture do you especially like? Which ones are especially pertinent to you right now? Post them here, and share with others!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:21 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1 John 4: 7 Beloved, let us love one another.

I have so many that I love, that I cannot put them all here...

I really Like;

They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as Eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

And the Best one I Really Love is, do I hear a drum roll...  ;D

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will He keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the Heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. The LORD hath prepared his throne in the Heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the LORD, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His Word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure. Bless the LORD, all His works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul. Psalms 103 Holy Bible -- King James Version

This sounds like our world right now.

Gen 6:11-13 Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

1 Macc 2:51

"51 Remember the deeds that our fathers did in their times, and you shall win great glory and an everlasting name. "

And Psalm 23 (KJV), which I read before each duty shift.

1: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2: He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3: He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5: Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

And of course every Christian's favorite:

John 3:16

"16 For God so loved the world that he gave  his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.

"What is "Macc"?  ???"

1 Maccabees from the NAB (Or any other Catholic Bible).  I was raised on the NAB, and after switching to Protestantism, my Pastor urged me not to change versions.  So we basically use many different translations in our Bible Studies. Non-Protestant Bibles have retained 7 additional books including the Book Of Sirach in the Old Testament known as Dueteroconical by Catholics, or Apocrypha to Protestants.  The KJV as originally published in 1611 had these books as well, but they were finally removed in the 19th Century.

We have but a short time left to serve our great Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. These two go together,

1Thes 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1Thes 5:8-10 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Job 2:10 And he said to her: Thou hast spoken like one of the foolish women: If we have received good things at the hand of God, why should we not receive evil? In all these things Job did not sin with his lips.

Job 12:9 Who is ignorant that the hand of the Lord hath made all these things?

Job 12:14 If he pull down, there is no man that can build up: if he shut up a man, there is none that can open.

Psalms 23:2-10 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers. 3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour. 5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, of them that seek the face of the God of Jacob. 7 Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in. 8 Who is this King of Glory? the Lord who is strong and mighty: the Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in. 10  Who is this King of Glory? the Lord of hosts, he is the King of Glory.
