Title: Does God hate singles? Post by: logos7 on May 10, 2012, 09:48:56 AM I hear of the gift of singleness, and wonder where this idea comes from I hope it isn't I Corinthians 7:5-7. Many singles are happy that way, but more of us are miserable, desiring to have a wife, but been so long since I have had a girlfriend that I know God has condemn me to singleness for life. So my question is why does God hate me, not that I like Him must either since He made single and miserable.

Further, I don't think that God has made you single and miserable. The Apostle Paul spoke of being single as good for some and bad for others. Paul, for himself, thought it was better for him to be single, and his thoughts were that he didn't want anything to get in the way of him serving God. The Apostle Paul also spoke highly of marriage and a matter for each individual to choose. Paul speaks of both being gifts because God is the enabler and all good things come from Him. I suggest that you make this a matter of prayer. |
