What's the "anti"?

Anti-Superbowl??


I'd definitely go to the latter.   I'm definitely anti-SuperBowl.

Just a bunch of hero-worship.   ::)

On second thought, maybe it depends on what your purpose is, in being there...

Both are just to hang out. The Superbowl party is simply because I was invited, the Antisuperbowl party is a video and chips and soda party, just for no other reason than to have an antisuperbowl party. :)

Which one would you like to go to?

I'd probly opt for the anti.


Now if it were a party to watch TV golf.   I'd definitely do that.  I like the quiet contemplation, one step at a time; the suspense.  And every move, something is happening.

With football, you have to wait, and wait, and wait...

How do you decide what video to watch?  Take a vote?  Who decides on the pool of videos?

Yeah, there where a few of those last year. The anti parties. Didn’t go. I played football AT the Superbowl Party I was at. ;DMy team lost :'( :'( :'( Only because it was 2-hand touch. If it was full contact, my team would have owned!  ;D ;D

Either way, it isn't hero worship this year. No one likes the teams playing! >:( This is just a reason for people to get drunk and watch football :-\ Of course, they did that all season anyways ::) But this time the commericals are going to be funny, and we will actually get to watch the half time show ;D  

Maybe if someone were serving burritoes, I might go to the Superbowl one.

Yeah the food is the clincher.  

I have the big TV in my family so Superbowl party is my house.  Though it is mostly just to get together and for the food (chili and taquitos this year) and the commercials.  

The rest of the time we will be playing texas hold 'em poker (for chips) as we really don't care for either team.

Hm. Not sure who is picking the video. That's a good question. If it's a boring one, we might go for the superbowl party.

We actually had the party last year. It was good, but Tibby's idea sounds better. Tib, we're all showing up at your place this year. I'll bring the soda. Hope you don't mind! ;D Michael, can you bring the TV? :)

Oh, doritoes, Tibby.  Definitely doritos.   I'll be right over.  Any thing with nacho cheese on it.   8)

Well, I decided on the anti, simply because of my best friend, who then canceled because she became very sick, along with the rest of the family. So, I decided not to hang out here instead. :) What did I eat that day. The food was good, I believe.

But I thought Michael was going to bring the TV. :D

Yeah, to bad I missed it! I was playing a short game of  “Beat up the only Patriots fan in the room” with a few friends. Good thing EVERY NEWS STATION FROM HERE TO ALASKA saw fit to play it OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, just in case we missed it the last 200 times! ::) ::) ::) is it just, or does it seem like a double standard to play the clip over and over again, WHILE talking about how wrong it was for them to do that? ::) The news commentary show went something like this:

Bob: Well, Jim it was crud and rude and wrong. Lets see that again! (TV shows it again)

Jim: You are totally right bob, MTV and CBS should be fined for it! Uh, can we see that one more time?(TV shows it again)

Kate: You're right, Bob and Jim, as a women, I am ashamed they would has such low regard for the sanctity of the female body. Show the audience that clip again. (TV shows it again)

Bob: What does your Guest think?

Guest: I think we should show the clip one more time, so the audience just tuning in will know which horrid event we are referring to. (TV shows it again)

Yes, yes it is.They stopped playing the clips from 9-11 because they didn't want to "breed anger." I wish they would do the same thing with 2-1!

Ok, honestly, most men don't watch the half time because of how it disgraces the Superbowl tradition, but that would not keep men from the Game. Wild, rabid boars couldn't keep men from the Superbowl. Even if the boars watched MTV. ;D
