Title: Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on January 29, 2004, 01:57:39 AM I'm supposed to be at both. Which do I go to? Cast your vote here... :)
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on January 29, 2004, 10:29:56 AM What's the "anti"? Anti-Superbowl?? I'd definitely go to the latter. I'm definitely anti-SuperBowl. Just a bunch of hero-worship. ::) Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on January 29, 2004, 11:36:17 AM On second thought, maybe it depends on what your purpose is, in being there... :) Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on January 29, 2004, 05:38:53 PM Both are just to hang out. The Superbowl party is simply because I was invited, the Antisuperbowl party is a video and chips and soda party, just for no other reason than to have an antisuperbowl party. :)
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on January 29, 2004, 06:39:03 PM Which one would you like to go to? I'd probly opt for the anti. Now if it were a party to watch TV golf. I'd definitely do that. I like the quiet contemplation, one step at a time; the suspense. And every move, something is happening. With football, you have to wait, and wait, and wait... Yep, I'd do the Anti. How do you decide what video to watch? Take a vote? Who decides on the pool of videos? Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on January 29, 2004, 10:06:17 PM Yeah, there where a few of those last year. The anti parties. Didn’t go. I played football AT the Superbowl Party I was at. ;DMy team lost :'( :'( :'( Only because it was 2-hand touch. If it was full contact, my team would have owned! ;D ;D
Either way, it isn't hero worship this year. No one likes the teams playing! >:( This is just a reason for people to get drunk and watch football :-\ Of course, they did that all season anyways ::) But this time the commericals are going to be funny, and we will actually get to watch the half time show ;D Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on January 29, 2004, 11:18:06 PM Maybe if someone were serving burritoes, I might go to the Superbowl one. Yep. That's it. 'Depends on what food they're serving. ;) Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: michael_legna on January 30, 2004, 11:59:36 AM Maybe if someone were serving burritoes, I might go to the Superbowl one. Yep. That's it. 'Depends on what food they're serving. ;) Yeah the food is the clincher. I have the big TV in my family so Superbowl party is my house. Though it is mostly just to get together and for the food (chili and taquitos this year) and the commercials. The rest of the time we will be playing texas hold 'em poker (for chips) as we really don't care for either team. Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on January 30, 2004, 05:42:22 PM Football at my place, a Church Tradition for years.
Hey Sym, we sevre durritoes. Is that ok? ;) Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on January 30, 2004, 10:50:49 PM Well, the good thing about the anti is that no one drives home disappointed! ;D
Hm. Not sure who is picking the video. That's a good question. If it's a boring one, we might go for the superbowl party. We actually had the party last year. It was good, but Tibby's idea sounds better. Tib, we're all showing up at your place this year. I'll bring the soda. Hope you don't mind! ;D Michael, can you bring the TV? :) Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on January 31, 2004, 10:30:58 PM Oh, doritoes, Tibby. Definitely doritos. I'll be right over. Any thing with nacho cheese on it. 8) Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on February 04, 2004, 12:26:02 AM So is everyone happy with the outcome? :)
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on February 04, 2004, 09:55:13 PM I never did get to have any Doritoes. ::)
Lemme see. What did I do? Oh, I think I was at CU!! Hehe. 8) How about you, Whitehorse. And which did you decide on--pro, or anti. Seems to me like you were here at CU also, seems like. :-\ ??? Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on February 05, 2004, 10:20:20 AM Well, I decided on the anti, simply because of my best friend, who then canceled because she became very sick, along with the rest of the family. So, I decided not to hang out here instead. :) What did I eat that day. The food was good, I believe.
But I thought Michael was going to bring the TV. :D Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on February 05, 2004, 12:18:48 PM People have to bring their own TV? ??? Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on February 05, 2004, 10:06:34 PM Well, I decided on the anti I present, for the court, evidance that whitehourse is in fact Female. ;D ;D ;D Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: cris on February 05, 2004, 10:53:13 PM I present, for the court, evidance that whitehourse is in fact Female. ;D ;D ;D Was it just a SLIP OF THE TONGUE???? or do you think it could have been deliberately misleading to keep us guessing? ;) ;D Humm! Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on February 05, 2004, 11:14:50 PM ;)
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on February 07, 2004, 12:28:12 PM Yep, Sym-BYOT! :)
Tib, nice try. I know all the tricks for trying to lure it out of me. ;D Cris, Amen! Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on February 07, 2004, 02:55:42 PM lol, don't be coy, we all know the truth now. You have let it slip. ;D There isn't a heterosexual man alive who missed this game. And if there is, they would not be so brave to admit it, even in an internet fourm. ;D

Post by: Tibby on February 07, 2004, 05:22:38 PM I'll need to see proof of that first ;) ;D
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on February 07, 2004, 06:27:29 PM I understand the, um, half-time "show" was quite entertaining. :-X Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on February 08, 2004, 12:19:54 PM Yes, exactly. And that's why a lot of men don't watch the superbowl.
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on February 08, 2004, 01:20:35 PM Yeah, to bad I missed it! I was playing a short game of “Beat up the only Patriots fan in the room” with a few friends. Good thing EVERY NEWS STATION FROM HERE TO ALASKA saw fit to play it OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, just in case we missed it the last 200 times! ::) ::) ::) is it just, or does it seem like a double standard to play the clip over and over again, WHILE talking about how wrong it was for them to do that? ::) The news commentary show went something like this:
Bob: Well, Jim it was crud and rude and wrong. Lets see that again! (TV shows it again) Jim: You are totally right bob, MTV and CBS should be fined for it! Uh, can we see that one more time?(TV shows it again) Kate: You're right, Bob and Jim, as a women, I am ashamed they would has such low regard for the sanctity of the female body. Show the audience that clip again. (TV shows it again) Bob: What does your Guest think? Guest: I think we should show the clip one more time, so the audience just tuning in will know which horrid event we are referring to. (TV shows it again) ::) We as a Speices are hopeless. Just when I think I'm gaining my faith in Humanity back... ;) :D Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on February 08, 2004, 03:53:50 PM ;D ;D ;D
Very telling about human nature, isn't it. ::) Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on February 08, 2004, 04:18:05 PM Yes, yes it is.They stopped playing the clips from 9-11 because they didn't want to "breed anger." I wish they would do the same thing with 2-1!
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on February 08, 2004, 04:34:06 PM Amen!
Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Symphony on February 08, 2004, 04:42:25 PM Yes, exactly. And that's why a lot of men don't watch the superbowl. Huh?? ??? Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Tibby on February 08, 2004, 04:47:19 PM Yes, exactly. And that's why a lot of men don't watch the superbowl. Huh?? ??? I didn't get that post either, to be honest Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti? Post by: Whitehorse on February 08, 2004, 04:50:22 PM I assume you're talking about Janet, but I think the half time in general presents things some men don't want to be exposed to. :-\

Post by: Tibby on February 08, 2004, 05:27:02 PM I assume you're talking about Janet, but I think the half time in general presents things some men don't want to be exposed to. :-\ Is what why Huge Heifner died alone and poor? ;) Ok, honestly, most men don't watch the half time because of how it disgraces the Superbowl tradition, but that would not keep men from the Game. Wild, rabid boars couldn't keep men from the Superbowl. Even if the boars watched MTV. ;D Title: Re:Superbowl Party or Anti?
