Title: There has to be some law against this
Post by: David_james on December 13, 2009, 11:06:22 AM
There is a site I am on and there are human characters we can dress up. Without my permission, one of the owners took the head off my character and replaced it with blood squirting out of neck.
There are also no age restrictions to the site.

There are no laws against such. Each web site sets up their own rules and can pretty much do as they want. People have the choice to use that web site as the owners want it or to leave it. I agree that it isn't necessarily right but that is the way it currently is.

I know. I just feel violated. If they don't put it normal, I'll just leave.

Hello Brother David,

I'm way behind the times and completely naive about a lot of the stuff happening on the Internet. So, I'll first say that I don't understand all of this stuff. I heard about a site where you can build things with what appears to be Legos. My wife and I both have played several games on a Microsoft game site. They had puzzle games, bowling, matching gems, and quite an assortment of what appears to be simple and clean fun. Here's the link for the MSN games:

Christians Unite also has some online video games listed under "Fun Stuff" on the left menu. I really can't remember if I've ever tried the ones here. The point is that there's many places to choose from for games. I hope that I helped you some.

Love In Christ,
Tom

FaceBook has a lot apps attached to it where people can build different things like farms, zoos or other such things. I haven't done any of them myself but many of my family does and it seems they enjoy doing them. I was told that some of those teaches kids to share and help their neighbors to build their farms also.

Hello Brother David,

This is just an idea if you use Firefox. It free as an add-on for Firefox and is labeled safe and clean for kids. It might at least give you some ideas and help you avoid sites like you mentioned. The reviews indicate it's great, and you can turn it on and off with one click.

Hello Brother David,

You're most welcome. I got the "KidZui" when I did a Firefox add-on search for games. My wife found the MSN game site, and it doesn't require any add-ons. However, the MSN site probably works on Flash, but Flash is pretty common for most browsers. Flash is a plug-in for Firefox, and I can't remember if you have to install it separately or not.

Love In Christ,
Tom
