Not much to say about me: I've been updating our church's webpage (http://www.colonialview.com) Hi, Give us some words. Welcome. Ollie Well let's see. I have spent some time looking at other Bible translations. To be fair, I have a degree in English/journalism, so King James' language is not very difficult for me, and translating kine to cows, wroth to angry is no big deal, unless wading through thousands of pages of text and then "mine eyelids plummet". I had heard good reviews of some bibles and have been looking at Holman's CSB (Christian Standard Bible) which you can read online at http://bible.lifeway.com/crossmain.asp I guess what I would like are some verses that others find to be critical verses. Some of the verses I have been looking at are: Genesis 19:5 Did the townsmen want to "know" the angels or was this a sinful demand? [Holman errs to the latter] Acts 7:20 - was Moses "exceedingly fair" or "handsome to God"? [Holman errs to the latter] Or perhaps some of you have read more of Holman or have some other input? ???
