Title: "Dictatorship or Democracy?" Post by: nChrist on June 06, 2009, 11:41:36 PM "..knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Let us walk decently, as in the day...putting on the Lord Jesus Christ.. ...redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Romans 13:11-14~ Ephesians 5:16 ____________________ Free Email Subscription (http://www.a-voice.org/subscrib.htm) From A Voice In The Wilderness "Dictatorship or Democracy?" "He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels" (Revelations 2:27) (Psalms 2:9, Revelations 12:5,19:15) "Of the increase of His government and peace upon the throne of David there will be no end; and upon His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on, even forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will accomplish this." (Isaiah 9:7) "In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes." (Judges 17:6,21:25) (Deuteronomy 12:8, Proverbs 12:15,21:2) People of the United States are living in a time like has never before existed for this nation. With the last election it has firmly turned the corner into Communism. (Some may argue whether it's Communism, Marxism, Socialism, Progressivism, etc. Semantics!) Many people are now labeling us the USSA. With government take-over of the banks, and now the auto industry, there is a name change for GM: Government Motors. They are no longer hiding the fact of the activist judiciary, readily showing the video clip of the once hippy, now older, giggling about appellate courts "formulating policy", giggling that such a comment shouldn't be said on camera when the tape is rolling. Next edition of any dictionary that comes out, perhaps they will have a new entry for: "old hippy", what a hippy becomes when they grow up, and it will have a picture of judge Sotomayor. Not to mention the return to open racist bigotry. If any white person said the things about Latinos that Sotomayor has said about Whites, they would be strung up and crucified. There is the denigration of what they call "right wing extremism" as a 'threat' to...What? Certainly NOT "national security"; but it surely is a threat to the -militant- 'change' that is being railroaded upon us. Those who have served their country with honor are now on watch-lists... because they are trained and well-versed in the use of military grade weapons, and can be considered a threat to the militant communization of the nation. More recently, a new 'czar' has been appointed, to 'monitor' the internet for "security" concerns. Certainly, the internet needs protection against hackers and those who spread viruses; and aren't there already people who monitor such things. But for this communist government, the greater security risk is the -freedom- of citizens in-the-know to proclaim 'truth' to each other. When powers are at war with each other, the first goal is to cripple the command-and-control of the enemy; the enemy's communication lines with itself. You can be sure that, within a period of time this country will become like China, where freedom of information will be filtered and squelched. Only those entities that kow-tow to the party line will be allowed to post websites, and all others will be 'yanked' and prosecuted. This, in contrast to the previous administration, who although they set in motion some of the things the current administration is building upon towards communism; repeated over and over the concept of "spreading democracy" around the world. Among other things, it was that mind-set that allegedly contributed to the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. To get rid of tyrants who stifled freedom, and help those people have democracy; as the purple fingers of their elections have been paraded for the media. From the dictionary: Democracy = Government by the people, majority rule, The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community. California proclaimed the "will of the people" when they voted to ban gay-marriage. Those who didn't like the will-of-the-people challenged the election results. But California's supreme court upheld the election results. It was the "will of the people" in a bonafide legal election. But California's Governator, when Jay Leno asked him his thoughts on the Supreme Court's ruling, said something to the effect: It will have to be appealed again. In other words, in this country there is Democracy, the will of the people; -AND- Dictatorship. Those elected by the people, supposed to uphold the law, who do not respect the law, nor the will of the people. Many pundits and commentators are repeating Sotomayor's comments about judicial activism, but what is lost in mere quotes is the 'giggles' on the video tape. A -total- disregard for the legal system, for rule of law and the Constitution; a laughing at what is right, as they make end-runs around it. Many of the natives of Iraq and Afghanistan have not been appreciative of our brand of Democracy. Sure, they don't any longer get dragged before the magistrates, have their legs lifted into the air and the bottoms of their feet beaten. But their youth are now being introduced to rock music, immorality through things like fashions, cosmetics, etc. And according to an article at "RenewAmerica", May, 29, 09 apparently the US embassy in Baghdad hosted a gay pride party. Think about what middle-eastern morality is in sexual matters, and then consider what a slap in the face such a party is to the host nation. That the embassy would -host- such a party! "Like a roaring lion and a ranging bear, so is a wicked ruler over the lowly people. A ruler lacking understanding is abundant in extortions; he who hates unjust gain shall prolong his days." (Proverbs 28:15-16) Many experts have said that the United States has been one of history's "greatest experiments". Previously nations were always ruled by kings, emperors, dictators. Typically, the common people were oppressed and taxed; they had no rights; and were at the mercy of the whims of the ruler. And if it was a colony or extension of the empire, the mercy of the regional governor; and the soldiers enforcing the law. People would be beaten for no reason, and their daughters raped. The populous was always in a state of humiliation. In this nation (and others who followed our pattern) the "people" come first; not the ruler. Freedoms to believe what a person wishes, to go and do whatever one wishes. And if unjust behavior is perpetrated, there is redress before a court of law. Thing is, this "great experiment" has failed. Why? Because man is sinful. When left to his own devices, man at his core, in this present world system, is full of evil and self-serving...because... "There is no fear of God before their eyes" (Romans 3:18, Psalms 36:1) Title: "Dictatorship or Democracy?" Post by: nChrist on June 06, 2009, 11:44:31 PM "..knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Romans 13:11-14~ Ephesians 5:16 ____________________ Free Email Subscription (http://www.a-voice.org/subscrib.htm) From A Voice In The Wilderness When Israel did what was "right in their own eyes" (vs6) they went into idolatry: Micah set up an idol, and hired a Levite to be his priest. (Judges 17) When Israel did what was "right in their own eyes" (Judges 21:25) they had the incident where the Levite's woman was gang raped and murdered, and the near annihilation of a complete tribe. (Judges 19-21) While Israel was doing what was "right in their own eyes", they continually strayed into idolatry, God would raise up adversaries to punish them, they would cry out to God, and He would then raise up Judges who led them to victory and then ruled over them. So, when Israel rejected God's prophet (Samuel), they asked for a king. (1 Samuel 8 ) Samuel forewarned them all the troubles that would befall them with a king: the taxation, draft into all kinds of service. And the books of Samuel through Chronicles tell of Israel under its kings...a good deal of them, -WICKED-. As a result of their bad kings, they went into exile. Oh, but... let's not blame the kings! It was "we the people" (of Israel) who wanted the kings, because they had rejected God. That's where the USSA is today. And whereas we have had, more-or-less, a rule "by the people" through the democratic process, due to human nature that process has been shown to be greatly flawed. As we-the-people (collectively) have rejected God, the elected leaders have also risen to power who are God rejectors...just like the people who elected them. Whereas this nation's "freedoms" have allowed True Believers to serve the Lord in the midst of a crooked and perverse world, now that it is becoming a dictatorship, those freedoms will begin to be taken away in the name of "national security" from "right wing extremists" who "cling to their guns and religion". It has been assumed, throughout this "experiment", that Democracy is a 'good' thing. But in truth, Dictatorship is a 'better' thing... with the right Dictator on the throne. When people are left to their own devices, they go willy nilly into evil. They lack self-control. They lack the 'order' that accompanies self-control. As a business proprietor, I see all sorts of people. There are many who are scatter-brained, some so much so that I wonder to myself how they can possibly be running their own business... for which reason they came to me for signage. But the ones who are more of a pleasure to deal with are those in the military and law enforcement. They are people under a hierarchy and chain-of-command. They are self-possessed, and in control of themselves. They know a direction, and pursue it. From the controlled ordering of their own minds, they are able to collect their thoughts and string words together with intelligibility. To "rule with a rod of iron"; is that not the language of a kingly dictator! ...the 'iron' indicating no negotiations or rebellion against the king's orders and edicts. To "dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel"; is that not the language of fierce and extreme conquest! But if there is to be rule in Righteousness, does not the filth of all the evil need to be swept away with the "broom of destruction" (Isaiah 14:23) Does not the chaff need to be winnowed away from the wheat! Jesus... "whose winnowing shovel is in His hand, and He will thoroughly cleanse His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the granary; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." (Matthew 3:12) When wheat is harvested, the chaff and straw makes for a huge pile (or big swath in the field), compared to the relatively smaller pile of grain on the ground (or in the hopper). My dad used to tell of harvesting time back in N.Dakota during the 'dirty-thirties', when the pile of wheat would be -very- small, and the pile of chaff (from the threshing machine) would be like a huge 'mountain', by comparison. The times of famine. "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord Jehovah, that I will send a famine into the land, not a famine for bread, nor a thirst for water, but rather a famine for hearing the Words of Jehovah." (Amos 8:11) Is that not what we have today! Famine for God's Word. So when the Lord sends out the angels to separate the wheat from the chaff (Matthew 3:12,13:39-42) how small is that pile of wheat? "Because narrow is the gate and distressing is the way which leads unto life, and there are -few- who find it." (Matthew 7:14) It will be the Eternal "Dictator" who will accomplish this. What the world needs is not Democracy, but Justice and Righteousness. Who best to adjudicate that? "When the righteous multiply, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan." (Proverbs 29:2) Are not "we the people" -groaning- right now? And the groans will be increasing into cries as the next few years progress. But soon, the King of kings and Lord of lords will come to rule on David's throne in Jerusalem. "And the battle bow shall be cut off, and He shall speak peace to the nations. And His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth." (Zechariah 9:10) And then... "...the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14) "And many nations shall come and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob. And He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For the Law shall go forth out of Zion, and the Word of Jehovah from Jerusalem." (Micah 4:2) Amen! |
