Title: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on February 23, 2009, 11:14:54 PM Tea Party revolution brewing
The kettle's whistling. Tea Parties are popping up all over the country. People are flocking to these sites which have cropped up practically overnight in search of information about rallies, demonstrations and Tea Parties in their cities. The revolution is brewing! "Somebody in our government needs to finally pay attention. It is what I've been talking about that was coming for a very long time and that is disenfranchisement which will turn into anger and then turn into God knows what," Glenn Beck said Friday on his radio program about CNBC'S Rick Santelli's passionate comments made Thursday from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Mark the date: February 19, 2009 when Santelli might have unwittingly fired a shot signaling the beginning of The Great Revolution, spawning dozens of citizen Tea Party Protests across the country. Responding to Santelli's passionate comments, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs suggested Santelli drink a cup of decaf coffee. We prefer tea. TCOP (Top Conservatives on Twitter) are coordinating simultaneous nationwide rallies and demonstrations for this Friday at noon ET in Chicago,Washington D.C., Fayetteville, N.C., Pittsburgh, Penn., San Diego, Calif., Fort Worth, Texas, Tulsa, Okla., Oklahoma City, Orlando, Fla., Omaha, Neb., Atlanta, Ga., and elsewhere in Missouri. More cities are joining in every day. Fed up Americans in Orlando, a group of frustrated citizens will host one on March 21st, while on Florida's Space Coast similar plans are under way. Kristinn Taylor, Free Republic media spokesman, is organizing Central Florida Freepers for a coordinated effort. Michelle Malkin's round-up about the growing Tea Party movement was the lead story over the weekend at her blogsite. Forty-two lawsuits have been filed demanding that Barack Obama produce his vault certificate of birth and prove he's a natural born citizen as required by the Constitution. The tipping point may have been reached to achieve legal critical mass when four Tennessee legislators signed on as plaintiffs in a new lawsuit forcing Obama to prove his U.S. citizenship. Tennessee State Rep. Eric Swafford and attorney Dr. Orly Taitz spoke about the lawsuit on my radio program. Former U.S. Ambassador and presidential candidate Alan Keyes is among those filing suit. WorldNetDaily's Drew Zahn reported on Keyes' comments in an article over the weekend which included a video in which Keyes boldly calls Obama a communist. Last November, WND senior staff writer Jerry Corsi went to Kenya in search of Obama's birth roots but was taken into custody and held before being unceremoniously booted out of the country. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Shammu on February 24, 2009, 12:17:49 AM I was a Marine for only a short time, I feel bound by an oath I took to defend, with my life, the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic. I also dont remember there being a time limit, on the oath I took. If Obama and tries to use the Armed Forces as a means to execute things that violate the constitution (like disarming U.S. citizens, etc.) he may at the least have a mass refusal by members of the military, at worst we may see mass mutiny. I think that is why he wants a civilian defense force that he can personally control. Guard with jealous the public liberty, suspect anyone whom approaches that jewel - Patrick Henry 1776 Even though I finally started praying for Obama, I do have a Godly world views and strong morals. I know this world is heading towards the toilet, and about to be flushed. Do I like it, no I don't. One thing I remember though, no matter what, God is in control. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on February 24, 2009, 01:28:34 AM Brothers and Sisters,
There's a significant portion of the population who have taken that oath, and they meant it. Some have taken that oath multiple times and meant it to the extent that they put their lives at risk for it most of their lives. There are several generations still living who took that oath, and they still mean it whether they are still working or retired - healthy or disabled. If the government is smart, they will listen and pay attention to these folks who have given so much. Sneaking things in won't work. It doesn't matter if they label it in the name of emergency. We are more intelligent than they give us credit for, and we see what they're doing. First, we won't allow any entity to take away our RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS - PERIOD - END OF STORY! Second, we won't tolerate SOCIALISM OR COMMUNISM. Third, we refuse to become servants or slaves of government. The government is a servant to the people, and the people are in CHARGE. That won't change. Last, we won't allow a tiny percentage of ultra-left loons take over our country. We'll put them in prison and replace them with representatives who will obey our laws and Constitutions. I keep saying "We" without saying who "We" are. We are Americans of all different races and nationalities. We are the backbone of the country, and we are generations who shed sweat, tears, and blood for what we believe in. Many of us died for it and won't give it up. Those who are determined to practice socialism or communism can seek asylum in Red China. WE WILL NOT GIVE UP EVEN ONE OF OUR RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, OR LIBERTIES! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on February 24, 2009, 10:15:17 PM Senator echoes Tea Party rally cry
'People have to show that they're not going to take it anymore' Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., a staunch opponent of the federal government's increase in size and spending legislated by President Obama's stimulus package, has issued a call for Americans to stand up literally and take back their freedom. "I would think it's time to start thinking about peaceful demonstrations," DeMint said in an interview with Georgia's Augusta Chronicle. "The power of the people is there. Freedom is in the people's hands right now, and it's about to slip through." DeMint lobbied his fellow Senators to resist the $787 billion stimulus package's new federal regulations in the areas of education, medicine, welfare spending and other arenas all to no avail, as three of his fellow Republicans joined all the Democrats in the Senate to approve the massive spending bill by a vote of 60-38. Disappointed by the outcome on Capitol Hill, DeMint is now calling on the common people to resist government actions he sees overflowing constitutional bounds. "Really, I think the hope right now is not in Congress to make the right decision, because they're not," DeMint says. "It's just whether or not the American people are going to stand up and say enough is enough." DeMint told the Chronicle despite the economic times that are pressing people into advocating the massive federal expansion, he still sees those that value their freedom over the government's handout, a group of people he called a "remnant." "That's all it is," he concludes. "But that's all it takes. Freedom is in our hands; it always has been. We've entrusted it to people in Washington, and increasingly they have picked our pockets and pulled power from us." "People don't need to look to Washington," DeMint continued. "It's the people's government. And the people are going to have to take it back. They can do it with their voices and with their votes and they may have to do it with their legs. People are going to have to show that they're not going to take it anymore." What exactly, does DeMint advocate the "remnant" do? Apparently, make a noise in the government's seats of power. "I think some of these folks," DeMint said, "might think twice if they had several hundred people standing outside one of their state offices asking, 'What in the world are you thinking?'" DeMint's comments, as it happens, come at a time when many Americans are responding to a remarkably similar rally cry: the call to a new American Tea Party. As WND reported, CNBC analyst Rick Santelli became a YouTube sensation after he spoke out against President Obama's proposed $275 billion deficit-financed homeowner bailout plan and other massive spending measures with a call for a new "tea party" from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. In a nearly three-minute rant that drew approving hoots and comments from nearby traders, Santelli said the Obama administration's promotion of bad behavior must be causing the Founding Fathers to roll over in their graves. "We're thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July," Santelli told CNBC "Squawk Box" co-anchor Joe Kernan. "All you capitalists who want to show up at Lake Michigan, I'm going to start organizing." And while White House press secretary Robert Gibbs responded by downplaying Santini's argument, saying that "the verdict is in on that" and offering to buy Santelli a cup of coffee, "decaf," a wave of Americans have decided to take a page out of U.S. history's account of the Boston Tea Party and take Sentelli up on his suggestion. An group called Top Conservatives on Twitter, for example, is planning protest "tea parties" for this Friday in Los Angeles, St. Louis, Trenton, N.J., and Lansing, Mich. According to WND columnist Andrea Shea King, TCOT is planning additional Friday rallies and demonstrations in Washington, D.C., Fayetteville, N.C., Pittsburgh, Penn., San Diego, Calif., Fort Worth, Texas, Tulsa, Okla., Oklahoma City, Orlando, Fla., Omaha, Neb., Atlanta, Ga., and elsewhere in Missouri, with more cities joining in every day. Floridians Unite is looking down the road and planning an Orlando Tea Party for March 21. "This will be a peaceful rally to unite our voices and express the love that we have for our great nation and the principles it was founded on," states the Floridians Unite website. "We want to make our politicians hear loud and clear that we are tired of the bailouts, the wasteful Washington spending and the push towards the socialization of this country! We want less government! We want to decide where our hard-earned money goes instead of the elitist politicians in Washington taking it and using it to buy votes, doling it out to special interest groups and pork barrel projects! We want our constitutional rights preserved and protected, not trampled on!" At the Pennsylvania Tea Party on April 11, organizers are inviting people to help them reenact the Boston Tea Party of Dec. 16, 1773, by bringing one tea bag each to Point State Park in Pittsburgh with plans of actually tossing the tea into the Alleghany, Monongahela and Ohio rivers. "Somebody in our government needs to finally pay attention," said Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck on his radio program last week. "It is what I've been talking about that was coming for a very long time, and that is disenfranchisement, which will turn into anger and then turn into God knows what." For Sen. Jim DeMint, he's hoping it will turn into "peaceful demonstrations." Rick Santelli is hoping those demonstrations will result in real change. During the televised segment where Santelli revived the term "tea party," CNBC panelist Wilbur Ross, chairman and CEO of WL Ross & Co., interjected, "Rick, I congratulate you on your new incarnation as a revolutionary leader." "Somebody needs one," Santelli responded. "I'll tell you what, if you read our Founding Fathers, people like Benjamin Franklin and Jefferson, what we're doing in this country now is making them roll over in their graves." Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on February 24, 2009, 11:20:17 PM Hello Pastor Roger and All,
There is great sadness in what we see happening every day. It doesn't make sense for who we are and where we've been. It certainly doesn't make sense for the generations who have given so much. It should be apparent by now that we've only seen the beginning, and worse is yet to come. They've made it clear where they are going, and the vast majority has NO DESIRE to go in that direction. YES - I think it is past time for us to tell them NO! There are many peaceful things we can do to send a clear message "NO!" I'm being nice when I say that we have juvenile delinquents trying to run a country, and they either don't have a clue - OR their AGENDA IS CRIMINAL! Everything has to be QUICK AND FAST so that the people don't have the time to figure out what they're doing. What they're doing isn't pretty! Bluntly, it appears that some have decided to take advantage of a hard time and sell us out for COMMUNISM! CONNECT THE DOTS AND TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHO ALREADY OWNS BIG PORTIONS OF THIS COUNTRY! TRY TO ALSO FIGURE OUT WHO'S PAYING FOR THE DRUNKEN SAILOR BIG SPENDING BEING DONE RIGHT NOW! YOU'RE GOING TO FIND OUT THAT IT'S RED CHINA AND ISLAM! Count the dots and try to figure out any reasonable explanation FOR MULTIPLE TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS BEING BOUGHT UP BY PEOPLE WE HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON WITH! You can even shift the arrangement of the DOTS and come up with the same ANSWER! Do you really think they're doing this because they like us and want to help us out? Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on February 26, 2009, 08:26:42 AM Join nearly 40 nationwide tea parties across U.S.
Americans say 'enough is enough,' unite to protest spending Americans are saying enough is enough to extravagant government spending and throwing nearly 40 tea parties across the nation to protest. Kellen Giuda, a laid-off architect, is organizing his own New York City tea party. He has invited several prominent guest speakers, including politicians, elected officials, an author, blogger, a bond trader and a former contestant on "America's Next Top Model" to speak out against excessive government spending. "I saw Rick Santelli's rant, live, and thought it was awesome," he told WND. "All of this fiscal irresponsibility is absurd." He continued, "Then I started hearing about tea parties, and I decided to do it. It's really exciting. There are a lot of people getting involved now." As WND reported, CNBC analyst Rick Santelli became a YouTube sensation after he spoke out against President Obama's proposed $275 billion deficit-financed homeowner bailout plan and other massive spending measures with a call for a new "tea party" from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Giuda is working with Alex Zablocki, top staffer for New York State Sen. Andrew Lanza, to coordinate the New York event. Some potential speakers include Kathleen Troia McFarland, deputy assistant secretary of defense for public affairs at the Pentagon from 1982 to 1985 under President Ronald Reagan; Brett Joshpe, conservative author and graduate of Harvard Law School; Sara-Racey Tabrizi, "America's Next Top Model" contestant and professional model and various elected officials. The tea party will take place on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. in City Hall Park in Manhattan. Giuda said similar nation-wide events are becoming very popular as a growing number of Americans prepare to take to the streets. "It's time we start fighting back with our own voice," he said. "America has a history of revolting and standing up to unfair taxation. It's really fun and exciting." Meanwhile, outraged citizens are organizing nearly 40 other tea party events across the nation. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on February 26, 2009, 01:35:08 PM I would hope this enough to get their attention and wake a few folks up. I would attend if I could. Things are far beyond the ridiculous and into the criminal. Our so-called government is running rough-shod over the people - not serving or representing them. This is not true for some of our representatives. Some of our representatives are just as upset as the people are, but they don't have sufficient numbers to stop the runaway train. The representatives of my state are an example, and they really are trying to do what's right.
It appears that about 40% of our representatives have some common sense, but they are being run over also. For the 60% of the representatives running like wild juvenile delinquents, I seriously doubt that the people in their districts approve of their antics. There has never been such a LOW approval rating for the House and the Senate - I wonder why? (NOT!) We do have some serious work that needs to be done, but it will require ADULTS with COMMON SENSE! By the way, the 40% are QUESTIONABLE, and most of them aren't standing as firm as they should. In fact, some of the 40% are slipping and falling into the same kind of conduct. There isn't any CONTEST to see who can WASTE THE MOST MONEY! We do have a crisis that involves real people who are hurting. Some of the folks who should be trying to handle the problem BELONG IN JAIL! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 15, 2009, 10:17:14 PM Fed-up Americans mobilize: More than 150 tea parties
Patriots put blazing heat on Washington, rebuke reckless spending A revolution is brewing as American patriots and advocates of the free-market system unite in protest against out-of-control government spending with a wildfire movement of more than 150 nationwide tea parties. John M. O'Hara of The Heartland Institute is a member of New American Tea Party, a coalition of citizens and organizations concerned about reckless government spending, is helping coordinate a number of national tea party events. "Our message is simple: 'Bailing out' reckless businesses and individuals is neither the burden of responsible, hard-working American taxpayers nor the role of government," he told WND. O'Hara said there is no question the United States is facing tough economic times, but he believes many politicians are not proposing serious solutions. "The Congressional Budget Office and countless economists say that the recent 'stimulus' packages will likely hinder, not help, our economy," he said. "Tax cuts, not tax hikes and handouts, are the quickest, most efficient means of getting our economy back on track." O'Hara said legislators must listen to citizens who are tired of irresponsible policies so the nation can recover. "It is time politicians heed the will of the American people and the clear signals coming from the financial sector: stop the excessive spending, cut taxes, and get out of the way. Only then will we unleash the resilient, entrepreneurial spirit of American's that has made our nation great and which will propel us through this rough patch to more prosperous times ahead. The New American Tea Party website states, "This isn't a conservative or liberal thing. This is about government forking over billions of dollars, our money, to businesses that should have failed. This is about taking money from responsible people and handing it over to CEOs who squandered their own." Another organization, the Political Exploration and Awareness Committee, or PEACPAC, formed a website known as ReTeaParty and accepts tea party registrations from across the nation. It also provides detailed information on how to organize tea parties and posts photos of the events. Tax Day Tea Party, a national collaborative grassroots effort organized by Smart Girl Politics, Top Conservatives on Twitter, the DontGo Movement and many other online groups, is also promoting the events. WND has also launched its own tea party forum so citizens may exchange ideas, information and announcements about the "revolution." After reviewing various protest listings, WND found more than 150 tea parties scheduled for upcoming months. They include the following: Birmingham, Ala. At the same time, I'm hope that all start to realize the big agenda is much more than just foolishly spending and wasting money. Throwing money away is just one method of weakening what used to be so the powers that be can change things into what they want: A SOCIALIST OR COMMUNIST COUNTRY.
THE BIG AGENDA MUST BE STOPPED! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 18, 2009, 04:10:19 PM I first want to make it clear that the group in the following articles I am about to post are not the same ones that are organizing the "Tea Parties" nor are they affiliated in any way other than being fellow American Patriots. I am posting these articles here in this same thread due to the last two words given in the threads title "revolution brewing." We can be assured that if the leaders of this nation doe not return to the principles this nation was founded on there will quickly be those that will stand up to them and make them accountable for their atrocities.
______________________________ Soldiers pledge to refuse disarmament demands Campaign urges members of military to 'steel resolve' to 'do the right thing' An invitation to soldiers and peace officers across the United States to pledge to refuse illegal orders including "state of emergency" orders that could include disarming or detaining American citizens has struck a chord, collecting more than 100,000 website visitors in a little over a week and hundreds of e-mails daily. Spokesman Stewart Rhodes of Oath Keepers told WND his organization's goal is to remind military members their oath of allegiance is to the U.S. Constitution, not a particular president. He said the organization deliberately does not collect the names of those who subscribe to Oath Keepers' beliefs because of their status mostly as active duty soldiers. He told WND he is scheduled to talk about the issue on G. Gordon Liddy's radio program tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, and he's begun working with "Gathering of Eagles" on several projects, including a Pro Troop Events gathering scheduled in Washington in June. Rhodes said his goal is to "teach them more about what they swore to defend so they will be better able to see when an order violates the Constitution and the rights of the people, and is thus unlawful." That review must be done immediately, so they have an opportunity to decide what is right and wrong and then to "steel their resolve to take a stand and do the right thing, whatever the cost," the organization says. The U.S., Rhodes noted to WND, was launched as a natural law republic, meaning the founders recognized all rights come from God, not the government. The founders, many of whom ended up active militarily in the revolution, rebelled "against the principle" that a king or parliament could rule them. "That's where we are. We want to make sure men in the military understand in advance what the line is they won't cross," Rhodes said. One testimonial posted by an active duty Army soldier, who was kept anonymous, said that message already has gotten through. "I want you guys to know I'm with you 100 percent and so are a lot of my fellow soldiers. These kinds of discussions go on between us often, and we all know that we did not swear an oath to any politician (of either party)," he wrote. "And just for the record not me or anyone else in my platoon would ever follow an order to disarm the American people," he wrote. The organization describes itself as a non-partisan group of members of the military as well as peace officers "who will fulfill our oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God." Among the orders the soldiers are pledging NOT to obey: 1. We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people. Any such order today would also be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason. We will not make war on our own people, and we will not commit treason by obeying any such treasonous order. 2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects such as warrantless house-to house searches for weapons or persons. We expect that warrantless searches of homes and vehicles, under some pretext, will be the means used to attempt to disarm the people. 3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as "unlawful enemy combatants" or to subject them to trial by military tribunal. Any attempt to apply the laws of war to American civilians, under any pretext, such as against domestic "militia" groups the government brands "domestic terrorists," is an act of war and an act of treason. 4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a "state of emergency" on a state, or to enter with force into a state, without the express consent and invitation of that state's legislature and governor. It is the militia of a state and of the several states that the Constitution contemplates being used in any context, during any emergency within a state, not the standing army. 5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty and declares the national government to be in violation of the compact by which that state entered the Union. 6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps. Such tactics by the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto, and by the Imperial Japanese in Nanking, turn[ed] entire cities into death camps. Any such order to disarm and confine the people of an American city will be an act of war and thus an act of treason. 7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext. Such a vile order to forcibly intern Americans without charges or trial would be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason, regardless of the pretext used. 8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to "keep the peace" or to "maintain control" during any emergency, or under any other pretext. We will consider such use of foreign troops against our people to be an invasion and an act of war. 9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies, under any emergency pretext whatsoever. 10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances. "We will not make war against our own people. We will not commit treason. We will defend the Republic," the organization's website states. "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually affirm our oath and pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor." Rhodes said the organization has not even had time to complete its website, but the word is spreading so quickly through its blog that thousands of people are investigating the site each day. Plans had been to wait on the campaign until a website was established, but recent events accelerated the effort, he said. One such situation was a training exercise planned by the National Guard in Iowa on which WND reported. Rhodes said the effort is not a response to President Obama or his policies. He said the accumulation of power in the executive branch in recent years has been alarming. The fears crystallized when Obama took office and suddenly had access to the accumulated power. That, he said, is a "powderkeg." "We do feel in our hearts that this effort has the potential to change history for the better and to forestall or even prevent this nation from ever experiencing the horrors that plagued so many other nations in the 20th Century," the website says. "We are convinced that it is not too late, that there can be a turning of the tide if we (and that means you too!) can reach enough of our brothers in arms and remind them of their oath, teach them more about what it is they swore to defend, and steel their resolves to stand firm if/when their oath is tested. We feel honor bound to do all we possibly can to achieve that mission." WND already has reported on several members of the U.S. military who have raised concerns about the implications of Obama's possible ineligibility to be commander-in-chief. One officer who signed onto a case filed by attorney Orly Taitz, the California activist with the Defend Our Freedoms Foundation, immediately was ordered by his commanders not to speak to the media. The officer's identity was withheld to prevent further actions against him. Taitz said she's working with more than 100 members of the military in her case. WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President." Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time. Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 18, 2009, 04:16:07 PM Due to request for donations I cannot link to the web site. The following is the foundation of this group.
Oath Keepers... Guardians of the Republic: Military, Veterans, and peace officers who will honor their oaths to defend the Constitution, will NOT just follow orders, will stand for liberty, and will save the Republic, so help us God. Our motto is: "Not on Our Watch!" Oath Keepers: Orders We Will Not Obey "The time is now near at hand which must probably determine, whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their Houses, and Farms, are to be pillaged and destroyed, and they consigned to a State of Wretchedness from which no human efforts will probably deliver them. The fate of unborn Millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this army" - Gen. George Washington, to his troops before the battle of Long Island Such a time is near at hand again. The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this Army - and this Marine Corps, This Air Force, This Navy and the National Guard units of these sovereign states. Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, peace officers, and veterans who swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic and meant it. Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and that oath will be kept. We wont just follow orders." Below is our declaration of orders we will NOT obey because we will consider them unconstitutional (and thus unlawful) and immoral violations of the natural rights of the people. Such orders would be acts of war against the American people by their own government, and thus acts of treason. We will not make war against our own people. We will not commit treason. We will defend the Republi Declaration of Orders We Will NOT Obey Recognizing that we each swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and affirming that we are guardians of the Republic, of the principles in our Declaration of Independence, and of the rights of our people, we affirm and declare the following: 1. We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people. The attempt to disarm the people on April 19, 1775 was the spark of open conflict in the American Revolution. That vile attempt was an act of war, and the American people fought back in justified, righteous self-defense of their natural rights. Any such order today would also be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason. We will not make war on our own people, and we will not commit treason by obeying any such treasonous order. Nor will we assist, or support any such attempt to disarm the people by other government entities, either state or federal. In addition, we affirm that the purpose of the Second Amendment is to preserve the military power of the people so that they will, in the last resort, have effective final recourse to arms and to the God of Hosts in the face of tyranny. Accordingly, we oppose any and all further infringements on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. In particular we oppose a renewal of the misnamed assault-weapons ban or the enactment of H.R. 45 (which would register and track gun owners like convicted pedophiles). 2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects - such as warrantless house-to house searches for weapons or persons. One of the causes of the American Revolution was the use of warrantless searches known as writs of assistance and the first fiery embers of American resistance were born in opposition to those infamous writs. The Founders considered all warrantless searches to be unreasonable and egregious. It was to prevent a repeat of such violations of the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects that the Fourth Amendment was written. We expect that warrantless searches of homes and vehicles, under some pretext, will be the means used to attempt to disarm the people. 3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as unlawful enemy combatants or to subject them to trial by military tribunal. One of the causes of the American Revolution was the denial of the right to jury trial, the use of admiralty courts (military tribunals) instead, and the application of the laws of war to the colonists. After that experience, and being well aware of the infamous Star Chamber in English history, the Founders ensured that the international laws of war would apply only to foreign enemies, not to the American people. Thus, the Article III Treason Clause establishes the only constitutional form of trial for an American, not serving in the military, who is accused of making war on his own nation. Such a trial for treason must be before a civilian jury, not a tribunal. The international laws of war do not trump our Bill of Rights. We reject as illegitimate any such claimed power, as did the Supreme Court in Ex Parte Milligan (1865). Any attempt to apply the laws of war to American civilians, under any pretext, such as against domestic militia groups the government brands domestic terrorists, is an act of war and an act of treason. 4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a state of emergency on a state, or to enter with force into a state, without the express consent and invitation of that states legislature and governor. One of the causes of the American Revolution was the attempt to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power by disbanding the Massachusetts legislature and appointing General Gage as military governor. The attempt to disarm the people of Massachusetts during that martial law sparked our Revolution. Accordingly, the power to impose martial law the absolute rule over the people by a military officer with his will alone being law is nowhere enumerated in our Constitution. Further, it is the militia of a state and of the several states that the Constitution contemplates being used in any context, during any emergency within a state, not the standing army. The imposition of martial law by the national government over a state and its people, treating them as an occupied enemy nation, is an act of war. Such an attempted suspension of the Constitution and Bill of Rights voids the compact with the states and with the people. 5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty and declares the national government to be in violation of the compact by which that state entered the Union. In response to the obscene growth of federal power and to the absurdly totalitarian claimed powers of the Executive, upwards of 20 states are considering, have considered, or have passed courageous resolutions affirming states rights and sovereignty. Those resolutions follow in the honored and revered footsteps of Jefferson and Madison in their Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions, and likewise seek to enforce the Constitution by affirming the very same principles of our Declaration, Constitution, and Bill of Rights that we Oath Keepers recognize and affirm. Chief among those principles is that ours is a dual sovereignty system, with the people of each state retaining all powers not granted to the national government they created, and thus the people of each state reserved to themselves the right to judge when the national government they created has voided the compact between the states by asserting powers never granted. Upon the declaration by a state that such a breach has occurred, we will not obey orders to force that state to submit to the national government. 6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps. One of the causes of the American Revolution was the blockade of Boston, and the occupying of that city by the British military, under martial law. Once hostilities began, the people of Boston were tricked into turning in their arms in exchange for safe passage, but were then forbidden to leave. That confinement of the residents of an entire city was an act of war. Such tactics were repeated by the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto, and by the Imperial Japanese in Nanking, turning entire cities into death camps. Any such order to disarm and confine the people of an American city will be an act of war and thus an act of treason. 7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext. Mass, forced internment into concentration camps was a hallmark of every fascist and communist dictatorship in the 20th Century. Such internment was unfortunately even used against American citizens of Japanese descent during World War II. Whenever a government interns its own people, it treats them like an occupied enemy population. Oppressive governments often use the internment of women and children to break the will of the men fighting for their liberty as was done to the Boars, to the Jewish resisters in the Warsaw Ghetto, to the Cossacks, and to the Chechens, for example. Such a vile order to forcibly intern Americans without charges or trial would be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason, regardless of the pretext used. We will not commit treason, nor will we facilitate or support it. cont'd Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 18, 2009, 04:18:51 PM 8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to keep the peace or to maintain control during any emergency, or under any other pretext. We will consider such use of foreign troops against our people to be an invasion and an act of war.
During the American Revolution, the British government enlisted the aid of Hessian mercenaries in an attempt to subjugate the rebellious American people. Throughout history, repressive regimes have enlisted the aid of foreign troops and mercenaries who have no bonds with the people. Accordingly, as the militia of the several states are the only military force contemplated by the Constitution, in Article I, Section 8, for domestic keeping of the peace, and as the use of even our own standing army for such purposes is without such constitutional support, the use of foreign troops and mercenaries against the people is wildly unconstitutional, egregious, and an act of war. We will oppose such troops as enemies of the people and we will treat all who request, invite, and aid those foreign troops as the traitors they are. 9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies, under any emergency pretext whatsoever. One of the causes of the American Revolution was the seizure and forfeiture of American ships, goods, and supplies, along with the seizure of American timber for the Royal Navy, all in violation of the peoples natural right to their property and to the fruits of their labor. The final spark of the Revolution was the attempt by the government to seize powder and cannon stores at Concord. Deprivation of food has long been a weapon of war and oppression, with millions intentionally starved to death by fascist and communist governments in the 20th Century alone. Accordingly, we will not obey or facilitate orders to confiscate food and other essential supplies from the people, and we will consider all those who issue or carry out such orders to be the enemies of the people. 10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances. There would have been no American Revolution without fiery speakers and writers such as James Otis, Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, and Sam Adams setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. Tyrants know that the pen of a man such as Thomas Paine can cause them more damage than entire armies, and thus they always seek to suppress the natural rights of speech, association, and assembly. Without freedom of speech, the people will have no recourse but to arms. Without freedom of speech and conscience, there is no freedom. Therefore, we will not obey or support any orders to suppress or violate the right of the people to speak, associate, worship, assemble, communicate, or petition government for the redress of grievances. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually affirm our oath and pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor. Oath Keepers The above list is not exhaustive but we do consider them to be clear tripwires they form our line in the sand, and if we receive such orders, we will not obey them. Further, we will know that the time for another American Revolution is nigh. If such a revolution comes, at that time, not only will we NOT fire upon our fellow Americans who righteously resist such egregious violations of their God given rights, we will join them in fighting against those who dare attempt to enslave them. NOTE: please also read our Principles of Our Republic We Are Sworn to Defend More About Oath Keepers Oath Keepers is a non partisan association of currently serving military, veterans, and peace officers who will fulfill our oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and not to any political party. In the long-standing tradition of the U.S. military, we are apolitical. We dont care if unlawful orders come from a Democrat or a Republican, or if the violation is bi-partisan. We will not obey unconstitutional (and thus unlawful) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law. We wont just follow orders." Our motto: Not on Our Watch! or to put it even more succinctly, in the words of , "NUTS!" There is at this time a debate within the ranks of the military regarding their oath. Some mistakenly believe they must follow any order the President issues. But many others do understand that their loyalty is to the Constitution and to the people, and understand what that means. The mission of Oath Keepers is to vastly increase their numbers. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on March 18, 2009, 04:54:31 PM Quote Pastor Roger Said: Oath Keepers... Our motto is: "Not on Our Watch!" Brother, as a retired police officer, I can still state that I think the vast majority of police officers would NOT OBEY an illegal and Unconstitutional order. In speaking for myself, I must also say that I was a Christian first and then a police officer. Much thought was involved with what I would do and not do UP FRONT - before the act - not after it. I think and hope that the vast majority of soldiers are the same way. I will honor and obey the Oath I took until my last minute on this earth. I thought the Oath I took was Good, Right, and Godly - and I still do. It wasn't taken lightly, and I do mean to keep it - retired, disabled, and all. Further, I know many retired people with varying health who meant their Oath for life. It was right to the extent that it was really TO GOD, and that's the way I took it. This doesn't hint that I was perfect and made no mistakes. Most of my mistakes were highly technical in the legal arena, but we're not talking about highly technical issues. We're talking about very basic rights and wrongs. I honestly think that someone will have to sell a ton of lies to get any of our men and women under arms to start anything that will be revealed as WRONG. Those who start a ton of lies to these people will be making a big MISTAKE. They would be better advised to NEVER LIE to these people. Sadly, I think the attempt will be eventually made, and the results won't be pretty. They will turn on their evil master, and the vast majority of the public will be behind them. We are talking about many things that are near and dear to us, including the FREEDOM TO SERVE GOD. There are armies of elderly and ill people who will also stand up for RIGHT AND GOD against tyranny, regardless of whether they've ever taken an oath or not. This matter shouldn't be taken lightly, and those in so-called power should know that they are servants of the people UNDER THE BONDS OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION! THE BONDS OF THE LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION WERE UNDER GOD, AND THEY WON'T BE BROKEN! THIS IS STILL A FREE COUNTRY, AND THE PEOPLE ARE IN CHARGE! THOSE IN GOVERNMENT ARE SERVANTS OF THE PEOPLE - NOTHING MORE! Thanks for mentioning Oath Keepers. I didn't have any trouble in finding it, and I was happy to read about many people who feel the same way I do. I thought this was true, but now I know it's true. THANKS! I subscribed to their RSS News Feed and hope it will reflect more of the good things I read on the main site. Brother, I think that the vast majority are just TOLERATING some things our government is doing right now - NOT supporting it. One of the things I heard about in the last couple of days is very WRONG: changing the system where combat injuries will be paid partially by insurance bought by the soldier or paid for directly by the soldier. This is WRONG and should be STOPPED! There are LINES that should not be crossed, and this is one of them. We all have a sense of things that are terribly WRONG and not just a difference of opinion. If we have a government that intends to CROSS many lines to the WRONG, that would be an indication of TYRANNY - something that the people didn't authorize, nor will they ever approve of. I'll just say there are many in our so-called government who are walking on THIN ICE! This is simply a fact and is not any kind of threat. We are a FREE PEOPLE who have NOT authorized a dictatorship or the violation of any LAW or the CONSTITUTION! Just the opposite - we demand that our servants obey the LAW and CONSTITUTION! It really doesn't matter that a minority wants something ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Their wishes will not be fulfilled, and those who attempt it will pay the price under the LAW. The THIN ICE they are walking on just might BREAK! Many lines that could be crossed would involve TREASON and other CRIMINAL ACTS. NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW! The people can remove their servants from office quite LEGALLY under the RIGHT circumstances that OBVIOUSLY INVOLVE THE LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on March 18, 2009, 10:35:49 PM Hello Pastor Roger,
I'm happy to hear that our representatives did their job on this one. It's a good thing that they did because the people would NOT have put up with this. It's a good thing to remind our representatives on a regular basis that this is still a FREE country and the people are in charge. As an individual, I've never witnessed a time like this in war or peace. This is a time of chaos that appears to be the result of a group trying to STEAL A COUNTRY! As a people, I feel it is our duty to inform our representatives about what WE WON'T TOLERATE! I'll just say that my representatives know this and feel the same way. They have already put legal measures in place to stop what they feel is about to happen. The same is TRUE for many other states. This is a wild and potentially explosive time. MANY extremely blunt messages have already been sent to Washington D.C. from numerous states that pertain to what WILL NOT be tolerated. I'm talking about Representative Bodies Legally doing the work that they are supposed to do, and the people are behind them. As for me as an individual, I would echo our Founders: "give me liberty or give me death". Our Founders were Christians, and so am I. Further, I am certain that GOD was with our Founders, and I know that GOD will be with us. We don't know what tomorrow will bring, but we do know that GOD will be with us. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Shammu on March 18, 2009, 11:52:33 PM Arizona bill HCR 2034, gives Arizona to secede from Union, if martial law is ever declared. This was passed February. 4, 2000.
http://www.azleg.state.az.us/legtext/44leg/2r/bills/hcr2034p.htm The reason the bill was introduced is because of the treat of disarming of the general pubic. Arizona is one of the few states that it is allowed to carry a pistol/revolver, in plane sight in a car. In fact Arizona law reads; Arizona gun laws are governed by Title 13, Chapter 31 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. Registration or licensing of firearms is not a requirement in Arizona. In fact, Section 13-3108 subsection B prohibits state legislators from enacting any laws requiring licensing or registration. Laws governing the sale and transfer of firearms in Arizona largely lean on federal gun laws. Long gun purchases and ammunition for long guns require that the buyer be at least 18 years of age. Handgun purchasers must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a hand gun from a federally licensed dealer. Background checks are not required for private sales, although federal and state laws concerning firearm purchaser prohibitions still apply. Arizona is classified as a "shall issue" state. Concealed carry permits are issued by the Concealed Weapons Permit Unit of the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Requirements for issuance include taking an 8 hour training class (provided by a licensed third party), submitting a finger print card, and paying a $60 fee. New permits are valid for five years; permits that were issued before August 12, 2005 are valid for four years. Renewing a permit requires only an application and finger print card. However, effective December 31st, 2007 the finger print card requirement for renewal is no longer in affect. Gun laws of Arizona (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ars/13/03112.htm) As a life member of the NRA, I can not,and will give up my guns. As a former member of the military, I would refuse to give up any gun. I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. As I remember, this oath had NO time limit, so is still in affect even though I am not a member of the military any more. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on March 19, 2009, 12:27:57 AM Hello DreamWeaver,
Brother Bob, many of us know exactly what our Founders thought about arms - on and off the record - public and private. Further, they took the additional time and effort to put their thoughts in writing. "Thoughts" is really not the right term - "moral convictions" would be a more appropriate term. They believed in RIGHTS given to them by GOD to protect their families, and so do I. Most of them were also strong Christians. Any look at the Founding must include FREEDOM OF RELIGION because that's one of the primary reasons why they fought the Revolutionary War. Many came here to get away from tyrants who deprived the people of their Freedom to worship GOD. In fact, many of them came here as prisoners to serve sentences of labor for RELIGIOUS OFFENSES. This is part of our history, and I'm proud of it. I hope that I feel as strongly as they did about freedom, especially Religious Freedom. Brother Bob, I tried to make sure that my children were brought up in the ways of the LORD. Along the way, I also tried to make sure they knew and understood that they had Freedom and who paid for it. I realize this is secondary to GOD'S WORD, but there are many circumstances in Freedom that intersect with GOD'S WORD. This is especially true for people who want to serve GOD and need the FREEDOM to do so. I fully realize that the work for GOD will NOT stop, even if freedom is removed. It's just much more difficult and dangerous, and loss of FREEDOM is something the people will NEVER AUTHORIZE OR AGREE TO! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 19, 2009, 09:47:12 PM House adopts plan
for 'volunteer' corps Also requires new evaluation of 'mandatory' service for all The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a plan to set up a new "volunteer corps" and consider whether "a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people" should be developed. The legislation also refers to "uniforms" that would be worn by the "volunteers" and the "need" for a "public service academy, a 4-year institution" to "focus on training" future "public sector leaders." The training, apparently, would occur at "campuses." The vote yesterday came on H.R. 1388, which reauthorizes through 2014 the National and Community Service Act of 1990 and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973, acts that originally, among other programs, funded the AmeriCorps and the National Senior Service Corps. It not only reauthorizes the programs, but also includes "new programs and studies" and is expected to be funded with an allocation of $6 billion over the next five years, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Many, however, are raising concerns that the program, which is intended to include 250,000 "volunteers," is the beginning of what President Obama called his "National Civilian Security Force" in a a speech last year in which he urged creating an organization as big and well-funded as the U.S. military. He has declined since then to elaborate. WND reported when a copy of the speech provided online apparently was edited to exclude Obama's specific references to the new force. The new bill specifically references the possibilities "if all individuals in the United States were expected to perform national service or were required to perform a certain amount of national service." Such new requirements perhaps, the legislation notes, "would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds." No one, apparently with the exception of infants, would be excluded: "The means to develop awareness of national service and volunteer opportunities at a young age by creating, expanding, and promoting service options for elementary and secondary school students, through service learning or other means, and by raising awareness of existing incentives." According to a report by Canada Free Press, "'volunteerism' that kept America running since the days of its founding" would be "wiped out with the stroke of a pen." "It becomes forced labor and like the practice of another era, presses American citizens of all ages and creeds, unknowingly into military service," the commentary said. "On paper, H.R. 1388 is the 'Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act'; the more innocuous sounding 'The Give Act,' for short. "The Give Act puts the finishing touches to Public Allies New Leadership for New Times, modeled after Saul Alinsky's 'Peoples Organizations' and operating under Michelle Obama," the commentary said. "Michelle was also a pioneer in the social entrepreneur movement leaders who create new approaches and organize to provide new solutions to social problems. Like most things Saul Alinsky, H.R. 1388 sounds noble in stating why wide-sweeping change is necessary," the commentary said. "H.R. 1388 goes straight to the heart of volunteerism in America, impacting everything from the lemonade stands of neighborhood children, to the residents of senior citizens homes. The Give Act puts tow-headed school children and silver-haired seniors in the official uniform of the new State, and encompasses every walk of life in main-street America," the commentary said. "Whether you are young or old, or firmly believe that volunteering means you are offering your time to the good of community work, you will be pressed into Obama's National Civilian Community Corps." Groups of such "volunteers," would, under the legislation, be "grouped together as appropriate in campuses for operational, support, and boarding purposes. The Corps campus for a unit shall be in a facility or central location established as the operational headquarters and boarding place for the unit. There shall be a superintendent for each camp." The plan generated this concern from Resistnet.com: "This is the equivalent of brown shirts." Another portion of the bill talks about a "service learning" plan that will be "a mandatory part of the curriculum in all of the secondary schools served by the local educational agency." A forum participant noted, "I wonder what's going to happen to those who refused to 'volunteer.' Maybe they will be put into a different 'campus.' I guess we will soon find out." Formal announcements about the plan suggested something far different, picking a provision far down in the 200 pages of legislation to highlight. According to a Business Wire statement released by Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., the bill "would formally authorize federal support for establishing the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on America as a National Day of Service and Remembrance." That provision is tucked into the far reaches of the legislation, but Schumer discussed it as if it were the primary point. "I could not be more proud to work to pass this important provision," said Schumer. "September 11 should not only be a day for mourning it should be a day to think about our neighbors, our community, and our country. We can take a tragic day in our nation's history and turn it into a force for good." On the Albany Insanity blog, this concern was raised: "What gives the government the right to require individuals to give three years service under the guise of 'volunteer' service? It is not explicit exactly who is required but I think they get the bill passed and then iron out the details. It talks about uniforms and 'camps.' They revise the word 'camps' and call it 'campus.' There is language about Seniors and Community organizations." The blog noted, such work forces would be used for "pressing national and local challenges" that apparently could range from weather disasters to economic uncertainty. At a Republican website, officials noted it authorizes funding for an Education Corps, Healthy Futures Corps, Clean Energy Corps, Veterans' Corps and Opportunity Corps. The bill was sponsored by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, a Democrat from New York. It was approved in the House 321-105, with mostly GOP opposition. It now goes to the Senate. WND reported earlier on Obama's Colorado Springs campaign speech when he sought a civilian security force as big and well-funded as the military with a budget of hundreds of billions of dollars. WND later reported when the official website for Obama, Change.gov, announced he would "require" all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs. However, after a flurry of blogs protested children being drafted into Obama's proposed youth corps, officials softened the website's wording. Originally, under the tab "America Serves," Change.gov read, "President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in under served schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. "Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year," the site announced. WND previously reported on a video of a marching squad of Obama youth. Joseph Farah, founder and editor of WND, used his daily column first to raise the issue and then to elevate it with a call to all reporters to start asking questions. "If we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal?" Farah wrote. "I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military. How is it possible their candidate is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force put together? "Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that? If not, why did he say it? What did he mean?" Farah wrote. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 19, 2009, 09:47:56 PM Obama's Brown Shirts are coming.
Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Shammu on March 20, 2009, 12:13:13 AM Obama wants all kids 18-25(?) years old to attend a 4 year training session for community service. Now consider the military...... if a kid joins the military, they go to boot camp for about three months....why?? It takes about three months to indoctrinate them, at this young age, into the military way of life. At that age, they can strip them down and rebuild them the way the military needs them. When I was in, the normal service time was, 4 years. Obama Is all about control and suppression. just like Hitler was............. There is only one reason to create this National Security Force and that is, to put down any possible insurrection or dissent from the general populace when it is ANTICIPATED that DISSENT will occur from from our populace or knowing full well that the American military WILL NOT be utilized on domestic soil. Although the National Guard can be used on American soil. You can label or typify me as you wish, America but all things considered under an Obama presidency. I potentially fear for my country from WITHIN more than I fear for my country from WITHOUT. This is very much like Hitler's requirement that all Wehrmacht officers pledge a personal loyalty oath to Hitler. These were dedicated men, ready to die in the defense of Germany, but that all changed when Hitler issued his Loyalty Oath dictate. In 1925 Adolf Hitler formed his own personal bodyguard called the Schutzstaffel (SS). Four years later Hitler appointed Heinrich Himmler as the leader of the SS. By the time of Himmlers appointment the SS had only 280 members. They wore the same uniform as the SA except for a black cap with a silver deaths head badge and a black tie. Over the next year Himmler obtained the independence of the SS from the Sturm Abteilung (SA). Sepp Dietrich was put in charge of Hitlers bodyguard whereas Himmler concentrated on building up the organization. With the agreement of Adolf Hitler, Himmler expanded the size of the SS. Himmler personally vetted all applicants to make sure that all were good Aryan types. In 1932 Himmler introduced all-black uniform of the SS. By the time the Nazi Party gained power in 1933 Himmlers SS had grown to a strength of 52,000. He was also made head of all German political police outside Prussia, where Hermann Goering was the minister of the interior. Himmler agreed with Goering that the Sturm Abteilung (SA) posed a threat to the German Army and in June 1934, along with his loyal assistants, Reinhard Heydrich, Kurt Daluege and Walter Schellenberg, he arranged what became known as the Night of the Long Knives. As a result of this purge the SS was now the principal instrument of internal rule in Germany. In 1936 the Gestapo also came under Himmlers control. Himmler was also able to put SS men in all the key posts in Nazi Germany. Quote A forum participant noted, "I wonder what's going to happen to those who refused to 'volunteer.' Maybe they will be put into a different 'campus.' I guess we will soon find out." Hmmmmmmmmmm, in Germany, it was called a concentration camp, Russia called it the gulag.............. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on March 20, 2009, 07:48:48 AM Tax Day tea parties expected to number more than 1,000
'We don't necessarily need mainstream media anymore' While WND has been tracking 170 individual tea parties across the nation, one group has announced it is planning rallies in 1,000 cities and towns on April 15. The American Family Association, or AFA, is coordinating 1,000 Taxed Enough Already, or TEA, parties to be held at 12 p.m. in front of city halls across the nation. The organization launched a Tea Party Day website just days ago so volunteer organizers may register their protests with AFA. The website also provides a list of other protests across the nation that are not organized by AFA. http://teapartyday.com/Organize.aspx?g=topics&f=96 Michael DePrimo, special counsel to AFA President Tim Wildmon, told WND that AFA has been inundated with e-mails from citizens who want to attend or organize tea parties in their own cities. "We're trying to get people to attend these and we're also encouraging others if there is no tea party in their community to start their own," he said. "All we're trying to do is really generate activity to try to try to get people to attend these rallies to really send a message to Washington." The tea party website asks, Are you fed up with a Congress and a president who: * vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it * are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying? * consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected? * want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others? * punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not? * admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda? * run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China? * want government-controlled health care? * want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections? * refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country? * appoint a defender of child pornography to the No. 2 position in the Justice Department? * want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will? * want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home-heating fuels? * want to reduce your tax deductibility for charitable gifts? * take money from your family budget to pay their federal budget? The group encourages tea party attendees to bring a cell phone and call the president, 202-456-1414, and Congress, 202-224-3121, while attending the rallies. While many mainstream media outlets have provided little to no coverage of the nation's numerous tea parties so far, DePrimo said the growing movement is proof that Americans no longer need them to launch a widespread revolution. "I think the media does whatever the media choose to do," he said. "We're all aware that the media have a liberal bias. I suppose if it's big enough, they will report on it. If they think it really may spur some change in Washington that the media elites don't want, they may ignore the story altogether." De Primo continued, "The good news is that with the Internet, Facebook, texting and with all the ways we can communicate today, we don't necessarily need the mainstream media anymore. The message can get out without them." AFA lists tea party organizers from various cities to coordinate the April 15 events and is rapidly adding more by the day. DePrimo said volunteers who do not see their location on the list should visit the Tea Party Day ( http://teapartyday.com/ ) website to add their tea party information. We have a LUNATIC LOOSE WHO IS A DICTATOR "WANNABE"! AGAIN, THE ANSWER IS NO! - PERIOD! - END OF STORY! Someone needs to give him his medications and his rubber ducky - and put him in a padded room. If he causes trouble, we'll put Pelosi and Reid in there with him, and they will take his rubber ducky away! Of course, Dodd, Franks, and a few others would be in the same facility. They could get together at playtime and and take turns being the DICTATOR OF THE ASYLUM! Anyone throwing a fit would lose a turn. Steve Vaus re-records anthem that got him blacklisted in 1992 Steve Vaus, whose patriotic anthem "We Must Take America Back" got him blacklisted by the recording industry 17 years ago, has re-recorded the song with updated lyrics for 2009 and, this time, he believes, not even a radio station boycott can silence his haunting and inspirational track. In 1992, Vaus signed a recording contract with RCA. The resulting CD was called "We Must Take America Back," and the title track instantly struck a chord with Americans starved for entertainment that spoke to them, touched their hearts and reinforced their core values. "We must take America back," Vaus sang. "Put an end to the gangs and the drugs in the street and the fact that the bad guys most always go free. That is wrong. We need leaders who lead us, not stick us and bleed us and take all our money and send it abroad. We must take America back. We need prayer in schools and more things made in USA. It's the least we can do for the red, white and blue. We must take America back." The song began climbing the charts. Many radio stations found it was the most requested song on their playlists once listeners heard it. Based on radio airplay, the song zoomed onto the Billboard 100 CHART with a bullet, as they say. That is a national chart based on radio play. Vaus' star seemed to be rising. But, after a few complaints from some big-city radio stations about the conservative and patriotic nature of the song, the company decided, inexplicably and inconceivably, to pull the CD off the radio and out of stores even with the song at number 56, still with a bullet, meaning it was moving up the charts faster than most other records. "It took me a long time to get over having the rug pulled out from under me like that, but now, I think this song's time is finally here," said Vaus. "I can't believe it has been 17 years since I first recorded and released 'We Must Take America Back.' With updated lyrics, that speak to the issues on most Americans' minds across this great country, I believe it will be a rallying cry for everyone organizing tea parties, signing petitions and getting organized to preserve what's good about America. Thank goodness in this age of instant Internet downloads there's no record company or media consortium that can block it." In the last several years, Vaus has enjoyed great success in the music industry, he just did it under another name. Recording as Buck Howdy he's had four best selling CDs of "family music," two of which brought Grammy nominations in 2007 and 2008. He toured extensively and appeared in concert with Billy Ray Cyrus, Kenny Loggins and many other superstars. However, his first release, "We Must Take America Back" had an immeasurable cultural impact. It inspired WND Editor Joseph Farah's bestselling book, "Taking America Back." The book begins with a tribute to Vaus, with Farah saying he heard the song playing in his head as he wrote about what Americans can do in their everyday lives to restore freedom, justice and morality in the country. "I still get chills when I hear the original timeless version of the song," said Farah. "But Vaus' reworked rendition speaks to the hearts and souls of Americans who are genuinely suffering today suffering because their country, and everything good about it, is being taken away from them. This is truly a song for our times." Here are the updated lyrics to the song: The American Dream has become a nightmare, Signs of the times are on cardboard on corners in town, Like a cancer that's silently spreading, there's an unspoken fear ... we're on our way down. We must take America back, Main Street to Wall Street, cities and states Washington D.C., before it's too late, there's not long We need leaders who lead us, not stick us and bleed us, Then ransom our future, and our children's that's wrong We must take America back, as liberty weeps, our forefathers spin in their graves Pray God will bless some way out of this mess, We must take America back. Lord knows they'll try to silence our voices They'll pretend to be patriots fighting for fairness for all They're not even fit to hold office What they believe doesn't fit, with freedom at all We must take America back, Main Street to Wall Street, cities and states Washington D.C., before it's too late, theres not long We need leaders who lead us, not stick us and bleed us, Then ransom our future, and our children's that's wrong We must take America back, as liberty weeps, our forefathers spin in their graves Pray God will bless some way out of this mess, We must take America back. Promises radio talk show first interview afterwards The man who created two phenomenally successful "We The People" YouTube videos urging Americans to stand up against Congress and reclaim their republic now or perhaps lose it forever reportedly has been summoned to the White House by President Obama to discuss the subject matter of the short films. Bob Basso, who posts videos under the name funbobbasso on YouTube, has created videos in which he portrays Thomas Paine, author of the "Common Sense" pamphlet that made the case for independence during the American Revolution. Basso, whose website offers his services as a motivational speaker, uses the YouTube presentations to condemn "non-representing representatives" and warns, "Only when they feel the almighty wrath of 'We The People' marching in the streets from California to New York shouting 'We're mad as hell and we want our country back' will they get the message they work for you." He was scheduled this week to appear on the the "Jerry Doyle Show" when he told the radio host that Obama had personally invited him to meet in the White House "to discuss the disturbing nature of the videos." According to a spokesman for Doyle's show, at the time when Basso was supposed to be calling in for the show, he was unavailable. Basso reached the show several hours later, explaining he had been flooded by media calls and literally was unable to call out. The result, the spokesman said, was that Basso promised to provide Doyle with the first exclusive interview after he meets with Obama, provided the invitation still stands after the meeting was leaked to the press. The spokesman said information about the meeting has not been made public, and show producers are waiting to see what develops. A WND message left for Basso was not immediately returned. The Doyle show reaches about 3 million listeners each week, according to Talkers Magazine, and is the fastest growing show in Talk Radio Network Enterprises' history with more than 240 stations. In his second video, which has been seen more than 1.1 million times, Basso challenges people to let Congress know their displeasure by sending tea bags. He criticizes Congress for approving the "largest spending bill in history without reading it" and criticizes American citizens, because "you did nothing." He raises the issue of billions of dollars for benefits for illegal aliens, the exportation of U.S. jobs overseas and others. "If your self-serving Congress were a business they'd all be in jail now," he said. "Wake up, America. While you were playing with the toys of your consumer wealth, you lost much more than your bloated economy of living beyond your means. You lost your representative democracy. Your servants have become your masters. Taxation without representation is tyranny," he said. In that piece he warns of the problem of supporting the rest of the world while America needs to be rebuilt. Referring to "progressives," he said, "We had another word in 1776. We called them traitors." Basso is the author of the best-selling book "This Job Should Be Fun" along with 10 other books, including "Lighten Up Corporate America!" A former award winning news director for NBC TV and visiting professor at UCLA, Basso has a Ph.D in communications. Doyle's distinctive repertoire includes former Wall Street insider, TV star and jet pilot. He has starred in many made-for-TV movies, but is best known as the character Michael Garibaldi on the Emmy winning Sci-fi television series "Babylon 5," which ran for five years. If he remains true to form and goes, I would think he will bring some good American History material with him as gifts for the President. This would be the type of materials that need to be PUT BACK IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on March 27, 2009, 01:11:57 PM Both of those videos can be seen embedded into the above article at WorldNetDaily. Thanks Brother! I love going to WND to browse and read, but I'm behind on lot's of things right now. I will go and see it, hopefully this afternoon. The only thing I've really been able to keep up with recently is my personal Bible Study, and that must come first. I honestly feel this is the best medicine for everyone in this difficult days, especially Christians. We must have the strength, encouragement, and assurance of GOD'S WORD and keep it uppermost in our minds as we watch all the terrible things going on around us. We must stay strong in CHRIST to do what GOD wants us to do with our friends and families. After all, things would be much harder if we laid down and gave up. I honestly don't believe that we're going to be here that much longer, so what we do NOW may be helping people long after we're HOME to GLORY. What we are watching now is just the symptoms of a much larger and more deadly disease that will be here soon. GOD'S WORD tells us this disease will plunge the entire world into misery and horror. THAT TIME IS GROWING NEAR! As Christians, we have an easy time compared to what the Christians of the Tribulation Period will face. We can all pray for each other now quite freely, and the Christians of the coming AGE will need to learn how to pray. Just think - they will be babes in CHRIST facing death or the mark of the beast. GOD has given us thousands of years to study HIS WORD, so mankind doesn't have any excuses. However, this in no way reduces the burden and care of Christians today. JUST the OPPOSITE: Christians do care and record numbers are going to their deaths in the NAME and FOR CHRIST. May GOD give us all the strength and guidance to DO HIS WILL until the last moment! Love In Christ, Tom Ephesians 5:18-20 NASB 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father; Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on April 04, 2009, 10:33:44 AM Tax Day party count nearing 2,000 U.S. cities
While WND has been tracking 400 individual tea parties across the nation, the American Family Association has announced its count is nearing 1,600 for Tax Day alone. The AFA, planned to coordinate 1,000 Taxed Enough Already, or TEA, parties to be held at 12 p.m. on April 15 in front of city halls across the nation. But the group is pleasantly surprised as is stands to double that goal before Tax Day is here. "Our goal was to have a TEA party in 1,500 cities. We are nearly 100 cities above our goal and still growing," said Donald E. Wildmon, AFA chairman. The AFA sponsored TEA parties are in addition to hundreds of parties planned by other groups. Taxpayers are also organizing tea parties for Independence Day and various Saturdays so people with conflicting work schedules may attend. Meanwhile, a Google Maps list shows several locations of citizen tea parties so many that the United States is nearly hidden behind a sea of blue markers. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=112875499027114938790.0004647d9f61bab744fd4&ll=38.272689,-96.679687&spn=27.495109,57.128906&z=4&source=embed Wildmon said the protests are essential because the government's reckless spending is burdening America with insurmountable debt. (http://worldnetdaily.com/images/teapartymap.jpg) "The runaway spending by President Obama and Congress will have a definite negative effect on our families," he said. "We are leaving a debt of trillions of dollars to be paid by our grandchildren and great-grandchildren." The organization launched a Tea Party Day website so volunteer organizers may register their protests with AFA. The website also provides a list of other protests across the nation that are not organized by AFA. Michael DePrimo, special counsel to AFA President Tim Wildmon, told WND that AFA has been inundated with e-mails from citizens who want to attend or organize tea parties in their own cities. "We're trying to get people to attend these and we're also encouraging others if there is no tea party in their community to start their own," he said. "All we're trying to do is really generate activity to try to try to get people to attend these rallies to really send a message to Washington." The group encourages tea party attendees to bring a cell phone and call the president, 202-456-1414, and Congress, 202-224-3121, while attending the rallies. The message can get out without them." WND has also launched its own tea party forum so citizens may exchange ideas, information and announcements about the "revolution." After reviewing various website protest listings and e-mails from many readers, WND found 400 tea parties scheduled for upcoming months and compiled one of the most complete lists on the Internet. An updated list and more links to other activities can be seen at: http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=93779 Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on April 04, 2009, 06:51:19 PM One would hope that our so-called government gets the message soon. The powers that be are really a criminal gang of usurpers that most of our representatives haven't STOOD UP TO YET. If they don't soon, they all need to be OUT OF OFFICE and CHARGED with all applicable CRIMINAL VIOLATIONS!
There are already a significant number of CRIMINAL VIOLATIONS that need to be prosecuted to the limit - regardless of how high they are in government. "How high in government" means nothing since the highest is still a servant of the people required to obey THE RULE OF LAW AND CONSTITUTION! They don't know it yet, but many are going to PRISON! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on April 15, 2009, 01:29:59 PM More to prove that the extremists to be concerned about are to the right. ::) ::)
ACORN engages in destructive activity against tea parties! South Carolina is the setting for an incident that proves ACORN--Barack Obama's corrupt front group--will not only attempt to disrupt the Tea Parties across the nation today but has already engaged in destructive activity aimed at intimidation. It was widely reported 2 weeks ago among conservative news sources and bloggers that ACORN was planning to disrupt the peaceful protests on April 15 by concerned citizens against runaway government spending and high taxes. But the group denied the claim, and Leftwing activists immediately jumped to ACORN's defense, stating that Tea Party attendees were displaying 'paranoia.' Now it can be confirmed that ACORN and other Leftwing groups will attempt to thwart, disrupt, and embarrass the Tea Party gatherings today across America. A new colleague here at Examiner, Bob D. Caterino of Greenville Crime Examiner in Greenville, South Carolina, writes that ACORN attempted to stop a pre-Tea Party gathering at a local restaurant. Greenville's Tea Party will take place on April 17 rather than April 15, but the sponsoring group is having a pre-Tea Party rally on April 15 at Chief's Wings and Firewater. As Caterino reports, ACORN sprang into action once they found out about the gathering: Quote A.C.O.R.N. sent members over to Chiefs, to ask them to cancel the Pre-Tea party. Chiefs manager and owner told them he would not because as far as he knows this is still a free country. The ACORN members then went into the bathrooms at Chiefs and started to tear down flyers about the tea party that were hanging on the walls. Some members went as far as to smear human feces on the walls before they left that establishment. ACORN is on a mission to infiltrate the tea parties all across the land to start fights and make the others who attend all look disorganized and troublesome. To go at great lengths to see to it, Obama has a clear and free pass is a bit extreme, but this is how an organization like ACORN rolls. Obama had no comment when he was asked about the community group accused of election fixing. Obama helped organize ACORN, and a no answer is not necessarily a not guilty answer. So now we have the truth of the matter from someone at the local level who knows firsthand of the subversive nature of ACORN. Why does this matter? It matters because after all of these years of protests by Leftwing extremists the average citizens in the heartland are now utilizing a Constitutional right that nobody questioned until the protests were against the Left. It matters because the Left continually lies about it's activities, claiming its innocence while engaging in destructive behavior. It matters because the anti-Tea Party movement is obviously afraid of the outrage of average citizens toward the unfair practices of their government--a government which they now view as raging out of control. And finally, it matters because Barack Obama and his Department of Homeland Security appointees consider those who participate in Tea Party protests to be 'potential terrorists like Timothy McVeigh.' What an unmitigated outrage for ordinary citizens to be caricatured in this fashion! This type of government oppression of the people cannot be left unanswered. And today, tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, will send a clear answer to Washington and the Leftwing radicals who support this government--leave us the hell alone! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on April 15, 2009, 09:15:59 PM Hundreds of THOUSANDS have sent a message, and they're still sending a message as I type this. It's really just ONE of MANY messages that needs to be sent, BUT IT'S A GREAT START! There is a bigger message that is also being sent: WE HAVE LIBERTY AND FREEDOM - AND WE'RE KEEPING THEM!! If the "wannabe" DICTATORS have a brain cell in their heads, THEY WILL UNDERSTAND AND HEED THE MESSAGE! If not, we've been there before and rose to the occasion! put lawmakers on notice Taxpayers descend upon politicians in numbers far beyond expectations Americans took to the streets to protest wasteful government spending today with estimated crowd sizes of 5,000 to 15,000 in Atlanta, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Olympia, Wash., Lansing, Mich., Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo., and Sacramento. At the California Capitol, a sea of red, white and blue U.S. flags waved above a large crowd that surrounded the building and spilled into city streets. Visitors arrived in yellow school buses from surrounding cities. Sacramento tea party organizer Mark Meckler scanned the scene from behind a platform before the event. "It's unreal. It's beyond my imagination," Meckler told WND with a dazed look. "I can't imagine anything better than this." Some protesters shouted at the Capitol building with megaphones: "Hey, tell Gov. Schwarzenegger to come out here!" "We are leading a revolution, and this is the first day of that revolution," Meckler said. "Politicians will no longer be able to divide our nation. They are taking our money, and we aren't going to stand here and take it anymore." With booming enthusiasm, the crowd recited the Pledge of Allegiance and began wildly chanting, "USA, USA, USA!" Their voices could be heard from blocks away as the California legislature remained in session and lawmakers dared not venture outside. Local businessmen, families with small children, military veterans and elderly men and women carried handmade signs with a variety of creative messages. After speaking with WND, Meckler climbed the stage and asked the crowd, "How many of you have never been to a protest before?" The crowd erupted in cheers as thousands of tea partiers raised their hands. "Our politicians think that you don't pay enough taxes," Meckler said. "As we stand outside, the California legislature is in session." The crowd let out a thunderous "boo." "We've had it!" Meckler shouted. "We're tired of being punished by politicians!" They cheered wildly and drowned out Meckler's voice, chanting, "Vote them out!" Guests included Michael Reagan, Rep. Tom McClintock, singer Lloyd Marcus and Fox News' Neil Cavuto. "In the 27 years since I came to this building, I have never seen a protest this large," McClintock said. "The silent majority is no longer silent." He continued, "Some time along the way, we lost our country. Don't you think it's time to take it back?" The crowd applauded with excitement. Air Force reservist Sgt. Kevin Steele told WND he returned from his second tour in Iraq two weeks ago. "I think this is just wonderful to see," he said. "I'm disappointed to see how much things have deteriorated since I left." Asked for his thoughts on the Department of Homeland Security report warning against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" and specifically singling out returning war veterans as particular threats, Steele said he was baffled and felt a deep sense of betrayal. "I couldn't believe it," he said. "I'm the guy they're watching now? Give me a break!" He continued, "You can send me over there and put a weapon in my hands, and now you worry about me? It's disappointing and disheartening." California Highway Patrol officers, sheriffs and horse-mounted city police surrounded the event on all sides. There were no noticeable arrests or acts of violence at the tea party. One Highway Patrolman told WND there were more than 5,000 people at the event. Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., 1,000 people huddled beneath umbrellas in Lafayette Park across from the White House. The crowd consisted of a broad variety of protesters of different ages, nationalities and political parties. When the crowd was asked, several Democrats indicated that they were present as part of the protest. Many parents brought their children along, who were also carrying signs and chanting. Speakers at the D.C. event included talk-show host Laura Ingraham, Alan Keyes and Grover Norquist. The rally combined with another Washington, D.C., party after Secret Service members revoked a permit to meet outside the U.S. Department of Treasury. One tea partier, Rusty Carrier, allowed all employees at his Culpepper, Va., farm to take the day off and attend the protest. Carrier said he felt the pains of high taxation and the government's reckless spending. "I don't travel to D.C. very often because I can't do it," he told WND. "Unlike the government, I don't spend money I don't have. In Tennessee, an overwhelming crowd of 10,000 people met on the Legislative Plaza, spilling into sidewalks and up the hill toward the Capitol building, Americans for Tax Reform reported. Cars circled the area, honking horns. In Rochester, N.Y., 1,000 tea partiers marched on the county administration building and city hall. Approximately 4,000 people crowded Fountain Square in Cincinnati, while 8,000 gathered in Madison, Wis., 5,000 surrounded the Oklahoma Capitol and 4,000 attended the Chicago party. Even Rhode Island, the smallest U.S. state, brought 1,000 protesters to its Capitol. Washington state police estimated crowds of 5,000 in Olympia while 2,500 marched the streets of Boise, Idaho and 1,500 rallied in Austin, Texas. In Lansing, Mich., throngs were measured at 7,000, while 3,000 gathered in Hartford, Conn., and 2,000 Floridians in Jacksonville poured wagons of tea into the St. Johns River. An additional 1,000 people packed into Market Square in Pittsburgh, Pa., while some 3,000 gathered in Des Moines, Iowa, and 1,500 gathered in Louisville, Ky. There are reports of 7,000 at the North Houston tea party and 5,000 in Phoenix, Ariz., while organizers announced that 8,000 people showed up at the tea party in St. Louis, Mo., and an additional 8,000 tea partiers rallied in Kansas City. An estimated 7,500 packed the Central Valley tea party in California. The Atlanta event may have been among the largest tea parties, in part because of the presence of conservative talk show host Sean Hannity, who broadcast live from the Georgia Capitol and estimated crowd size at 15,000. Also, as many as 15,000 crowded around the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, as nationally syndicated talk show host Glenn Beck aired his television show there. Across the nation, thousands of tea partiers sang the national anthem, recited the Pledge of Allegiance and chanted while waving U.S. flags and displaying homemade signs. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on April 16, 2009, 09:43:33 PM I watched it on Fox News. I would have loved to go to the one in Oklahoma City, and I just don't have the health for something like that.
The MESSAGE has been heard, even though the LEFT media with a tiny "m" didn't provide nearly the coverage that it deserved. In fact, the LEFT media down-played it at the best and dismissed it as a few loons. CONTRARY - there were hundreds of thousands of average, ordinary, law-abiding people who pay all the bills. They weren't right-wing radicals and neither are we. As Christians, we obviously have different morals than the world, but that doesn't make us radical in any way. We used to be called the "Silent Majority", and we've been SILENT too long. In fact, we were wrong in being SILENT. I wasn't SILENT on everything, but I wasn't LOUD enough. I do wish that I could go back and do things over, but NONE of us can. I'll just have to bear part of the BLAME for some of the things my children and grandchildren are putting up with now. Some of the things I'm thinking about are UGLY, OBSCENE, IMMORAL, FILTHY, and DANGEROUS! All I can do now is ask for forgiveness on everything I failed to do and things I didn't pay nearly as much attention to as I should have. Brother, I'm not going to let myself off the hook by saying these days may be ushering in the Tribulation Period. Regardless, I failed and didn't do enough, and I'm ashamed of myself. I grew up knowing and being taught that parents do much and sacrifice much for their children and grandchildren. The hope and prayer was that things would be better and more moral for the next generation coming up. Instead, we got the opposite. I started this paragraph by saying "I'm not going to let myself off the hook", and I'm not. I'll just say that I know the demonstrations were real and genuine by decent people who sent a message in a most peaceful way. If there were any truly DANGEROUS people demonstrating, it might have been some of the older grandmothers in the crowd. LET'S GET REAL: those grandmothers had RESPECT - NOT FEAR! On the other side of the coin, let's not underestimate what those grandmothers and grandfathers would do to protect their children and grandchildren. They've already sacrificed much so their children could have better. NOW, many of them have had their retirements, pensions, and means of surviving stolen from them - AND they can't help their children and grandchildren in the ways that they wanted to. It's all horribly sad, and it boils down to CORRUPT AND CRIMINAL GOVERNMENT. BY THE WAY, THERE ISN'T ANYTHING RADICAL ABOUT SPEAKING THE TRUTH! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on April 17, 2009, 09:26:27 AM T-party rally tally:
1 million nationally 'The Obama administration has awakened a sleeping giant' An estimated 1 million Americans participated in at least 1,000 tea parties, according to reports by organizers tabulating the nationwide numbers, with documented protests held in 50 states. Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform told WND, "The Obama administration has awakened a sleeping giant." Tax Day Tea Party national event coordinator Amy Kremer told WND she has confirmed that more than 850 parties took place. She has at least 100 more reports in her e-mail inbox that have not been posted. Asked how many people attended the events, she responded, "I would estimate it at over 1 million. I'm waiting on more numbers to come in from organizers right now. I can tell you it is absolutely over 750,000 right now." The largest protests occurred in Atlanta, Ga., with 15,000 participants. As many as 10,000 protesters participating in Sacramento, Calif., and Overland Park, Kan., according to data compiled by Americans for Tax Reform on more than 207 tea parties. Americans for Tax Reform has established an Internet page on the group's website where organizers of tea parties can submit attendance estimates to be included in the running tally. Michael DePrimo, special counsel to American Family Association President Tim Wildmon, told WND that AFA's tea party website, Tea Party Day, had 2,031 confirmations that tea parties were to be held in as many cities. "Since yesterday, we have had 394 cities give us reports, many with photographs, about the tea parties that were held," he said. "We have not been able to get all the information up. We expect more to come in as the days go by." Glenn Beck reported yesterday on his Fox News program that official estimates of the participation in the Tea Party held in San Antonio, Texas, reached as many as 20,000 people. The Glenn Beck show broadcast on Fox News live on April 15, from the Tea Party held at the Alamo in San Antonio. "The establishment in Washington, D.C., is terrified," Norquist said. "There were no such demonstrations four months into the administrations of Democratic presidents Carter or Clinton." Norquist told WND that the Obama administration was taken by surprise by the nationwide protests because the administration had calculated increased government spending was supposed to be the popular part of President Obama's economic stimulus plan. Instead, Norquist said, the tea parties held in every state on Wednesday proved Americans nationwide are demonstrating in anger and disappointment against Obama administration plans for massive deficit spending. "Imagine what happens when President Obama, House Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid begin to pay for their 'spend-fest' with higher taxes and inflation," Norquist said. Kremer said the mainstream media have completely neglected their duty to accurately report on this nationwide movement. "It's amazing that the mainstream media is reporting it the way that they are," she said. "It's just crazy. It's basically just going to come down to us. We're now reporting it ourselves because they are not reporting it accurately." Many say the mainstream media attempted either to ignore the protests altogether or characterized tea partiers as disgruntled Republicans unable to accept that "they lost" the 2008 presidential campaign or as "rich taxpayers" unwilling to pay their fair burden of taxes. However, Kremer said she is constantly receiving reports from organizers about the movement's resounding success. "I think it was an absolute success," she said. "We want to send a message to them: We hired them; we can fire them. They work for us. They seem to have forgotten that." She continued, "If it means we have to go after every incumbent in office from now until 2012, we will do that. But the American people are tired of sitting by, and they are starting to step forward and take notice." Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on April 17, 2009, 09:33:11 AM Motivated tea partiers ask, 'What's next?'
It's not over yet! 25 upcoming protests scheduled for 16 states As many as 1 million Americans showed up at nationwide tea parties on Tax Day and reports are still pouring in but what's the next step for the movement? Peaceful protests The vast majority of protests were organized and respectful. Even with so many people in attendance, WND found reports of only one arrest. A protester in Northville Township, Mich., stood in the middle of traffic, stopping cars with a sign that said, "We want our country back U.S.!" She was arrested and put into a squad car by Northville Township police. In Lafayette, Ind., officials with the state's environmental agency threatened protesters with fines if they followed through with their plans to dump tea bags into the Wabash River. Spokeswoman Amber Finkelstein told USA Today the tea would hurt aquatic life by depleting the water of oxygen. She said the act would be a fineable offense, and that the agency would not allow the protest because the river would not meet minimum water quality standards. Nonetheless, protesters rallied and enthusiastically dumped a large box of tea bags from a bridge into the Wabash River. Karen England, executive director of the Capitol Resource Institute, reported that police discarded U.S. flags when citizens attempted to enter the California Capitol building in Sacramento. "We could not believe that they would prohibit the American flag in the Capitol," England said. "I am still not clear why this is prohibited. The guard at the door originally cited safety concerns, but after consulting with his superiors the rationale became a general prohibition on signs and banners." In Washington D.C., a plan to unload 1 million tea bags in Lafayette Square was reportedly disrupted when organizers were told they lacked the proper permit. Protesters were also evicted from the Treasury Department when Secret Service officials said they did not have permission to rally there. One protester tossed a box of tea over the fence onto the White House lawn, so Secret Service evacuated the area temporarily and sent a robot to examine what they believed to be a suspicious package. But with just a few disruptions, organizers say the event was a resounding success. What's next? Now many people are asking, "What's next?" Tax Day Tea Party national event coordinator Amy Kremer told WND, "People are pumped up, and they're ready to move on. They all want to know what the next step is. That was the first step; it was a baby step." Kremer said organizers didn't expect Tax Day miracles, but they believe more and more people will get involved and awaken the government to its spending addiction. "It's just like an alcoholic or drug addict," she said. "Before they can ever get help and get well, they have to admit there's a problem. Right now, our government is on this tax-and-spend binge at our children's and grandchildren's expense, and they just keep spending and spending and spending. Before we can ever find solutions, we have to admit there's a problem." Kremer said the main goal of the protests was to have citizens' voices heard, to force elected officials to be accountable and to hold their feet to the fire. "Earlier this year, when they were voting on the second stimulus, we melted their phone lines," she said. "We burned down their e-mail accounts. We faxed. We did everything we could, and they didn't listen to their constituents. They continue to vote the way they want." She said politicians are in their own bubble in Washington, D.C., and haven't listened to the voices of the people. "We hired them; we can fire them," Kremer said. "If that means we have to go after every incumbent in office from now until 2012, we will do that. But the American people are tired of sitting by, and they are starting to step forward and take notice." The American Majority, a non-profit political training institute "committed to individual freedom through limited government and the free market," is prepared to replace those politicians with new American leaders. It launched its "After the Tea Party" plan to keep the revolution going and train people to run for office. "There are events in history that impact the direction a nation takes," wrote Ned Ryun, president of American Majority. "This could be one of those moments." He is calling for "implementers of freedom and limited government" to channel their passion into a long-term approach and run for public office or become more effective activists. "If people are really fed-up with the current elected leadership of this country, then they should think about becoming the next generation of leadership," he wrote. Ready for the next round? Meanwhile, Michael DiPrimo, special counsel to American Family Association President Tim Wildmon, told WND the AFA has already started making plans for more tea parties on May 30 and July 4 on its National Tea Party Day website. The organization called for new tea party plans today and has already signed up four organizers for three U.S. cities. "Our goal is simply to keep the grassroots organizations mobilized," he said. "We want to keep people pumped up and excited, and we want them to continue to knock on the door of Congress and the White House." DiPrimo continued, "We don't want people to think of it as a one-time event and then have it fall by the wayside. Every time you look in your wallet, think that 40 percent of what's in there goes to the government in taxes." WND has been hosting its own tea party forum so citizens can exchange ideas, information and announcements about the "revolution." WND readers have been sending information on upcoming tea parties, including the following 25 protests scheduled in 16 states: California Los Angeles Saturday, July 4, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Santa Monica Pier Florida Inverness Saturday, April 18 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the old historical courthouse, One Courthouse Square Georgia Atlanta Saturday, July 4, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the capitol building located at 206 Washington St. Illinois Chicago From Saturday, July 4, at 7 p.m. to Sunday, July 5, at 5 a.m. at Belmont Harbor on Lake Shore Drive Indiana Fort Wayne Saturday, April 18 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. downtown at Courthouse Square on Main Street Mishawaka Saturday, April 18, 10:30 a.m., in Beutter Park, call 574-257-1415 Massachusetts Boston Saturday, July 4, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Griffin Harbor on Congress Street Bridge Mississippi Jackson Saturday, May 16, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.on the steps of the capitol building Montana Billings Saturday, July 4, location to be announced New York Buffalo Saturday, April 18, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., 199 Deleware Ave New York Saturday, July 4, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at South Street Seaport and Pier 17 Pennsylvania Bucks County Saturday, April 18, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at General Greene Pavilion Philadelphia Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. on Market Street across from Independence Mall Philadelphia Saturday, July 4, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Independence Mall Tennessee Jackson Friday, April 24, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Liberty Garden, people should bring tailgate items such as grills, food, tea Texas Austin Saturday, July 4, time and location to be announced Dallas Saturday, July 4, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Victory Park Fort Worth Saturday, July 4 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cowtown Bar & Grill Kerr County Friday, April 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Guadalupe River at Louise Hays Park pavillion, speakers, barbecue, please feel free to bring children Midland Saturday, April 18, 10 a.m., Vietnam memorial at Midland International Airport, local and state politicians will be present with "open mic" time for citizen Waco Saturday, July 4, time and location to be announced Virginia Annandale Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mason District Park, 6621 Columbia Pike Washington Vancouver Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clark County Courthouse lawn Washington, D.C. Round 2 of tax protests scheduled for 47 states Planning for Round 2 of the nation's tea parties is under way with more than 350 cities planning protests for Independence Day. While WND has been tracking 34 upcoming tea parties across the nation, the American Family Association has posted a list of rallies in 366 cities and 47 states for July 4. AFA is sponsoring Taxed Enough Already, or TEA, parties to be held at 12 p.m. in front of city halls across the nation. The organization launched a Tea Party Day website before the Tax Day events so volunteer organizers may register their protests with AFA. Michael DePrimo, special counsel to AFA President Tim Wildmon, told WND that AFA is still being inundated with e-mails from citizens who want to attend or organize tea parties in their own cities. Every time you look in your wallet, think that 40 percent of what's in there goes to the government in taxes." The tea party website asks, Are you fed up with a Congress and a president who: * vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it? * are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying? AFA lists tea party organizers from various cities to coordinate the July 4 events and is rapidly adding more by the day. DePrimo said volunteers who do not see their location on the list should visit the Tea Party Day website to add their tea party information. The current list includes the following towns and cities: cont'd Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on April 22, 2009, 12:47:46 PM Alaska

'Every time you turn on a light switch you're going to pay' The federal affairs manager for Americans for Tax Reform says American families should be watching out for their new $10,000 energy tax bill. "Obama lied when he was campaigning and said he was only going to raise taxes on 5 percent [of Americans]," said Brian Johnson, a spokesman for the ATR. "Every time you turn on a light switch, go to the store you're going to pay higher taxes." Other estimates of the increased costs resulting from Obama's proposed energy taxes have ranged around several thousand dollars per person. Dan Kish of the Institute for Energy Research earlier confirmed to WND that "everything" will cost more. Johnson said he got his figures from the president's own budget plan, which counts on, among other tax increases, an additional $345 billion in taxes from "changes and loophole closures" and still another $645 billion from "climate" taxes. That's $1 trillion, or roughly $10,000 for a family of three or four in the United States. The numbers come from Table S-6 of Obama's budget proposal at the website for the Office of Management and Budget. Johnson said that in addition to the extra bills, estimates are that about 600,000 jobs would be lost because of the taxes. "Every time we manufacture or produce something in the United States we emit carbon dioxide," he explained. "Obama wants to put a carbon cap on." That means if you own a company that makes brake pads and you get an order for 50,000 brake pads in a particular month, but only have "permission" for the emissions that allow you to make 40,000, you cannot provide the extra 10,000. Guess where manufacturing jobs are going to be taken? he asked. Overseas. According to the Associated Press, Democrats in Congress are on the bandwagon, fending off criticism from Republicans that Obama's proposal will undermine the economy. The report documented EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson's statement that Obama's plan will "create good American jobs." Republicans aren't giving up. "The proposal for cap and tax will raise the energy rates for producing everything in the United States of America," said Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich. "If we dramatically raise the rates of electricity we will not be competitive when it comes to building anything." Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on April 30, 2009, 09:25:41 AM Tea party leaders would welcome meeting Obama
'We want to address the president's runaway march to socialist-statism' Leaders of a nationwide "tea party" movement that saw an estimated 1 million people gather at hundreds of locations across the United States on Tax Day to protest not just taxes but the sudden rampant spending in Washington say they have accepted an invitation from President Obama to meet. The national leadership team of the Nationwide Tea Party coalition confirmed members were responding to Obama's invitation "to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security." The invitation came at a "town meeting" appearance by the president in Arnold, Mo., today, and was reported by Politico.com. "We want to broaden the scope to address the president's runaway march to socialist-statism, and the rampant across-the-board irresponsible spending he is promoting with his $787 billion stimulus plan and his $1 trillion annual deficit, his takeover of General Motors, Chrysler and the banks," said Michael Patrick Leahy, a member of the leadership squad. The team includes more than two dozen of the more than 900 local organizers of the April 15 Tax Day Tea Parties, which were attended "by more than 1 million Americans." Also on the team are Judson Phillips, who organized the Nashville event that attracted 10,000 people, and James Dickey, who set up the Dallas event attended by 5,000. Kellen Giuda, organizer of New York's party attended by 12,000 and of Parcbench, said, "I think a constructive dialogue with the president would be a great opportunity for him to acknowledge that, yes, many Americans have a problem with the way Washington is handling our taxpayer dollars and also that we are concerned about health care and Social Security reform. "I am happy he is open to a discussion," Giuda said. "The tea parties are protesting against fiscal irresponsibility and any dialogue we can have will hopefully bring a better public understanding of our country's finances. Health care and social security reform is a large concern to us." It was at the Missouri meeting marking his 100th day in office that Obama commented on the tea party demonstrations. "Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around," said the president, "let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security." Reports said it was the president's most direct response to date to the April 15 rallies. Giuda said the leaders soon will be reaching out to the White House to request the details of a meeting the president suggested. As WND has reported, on and around April 15, citizens gathered in nearly 2,000 U.S. cities to issue a coast-to-coast protest of increased government control, taxes and spending. More than 350 "tea party" protests already are on the calendar for Independence Day." "We are leading a revolution, and this is the first day of that revolution," Sacramento tea party organizer Mark Meckler said before the crowd that gathered at the California capitol. "Politicians will no longer be able to divide our nation. They are taking our money, and we aren't going to stand here and take it anymore." WND was at the Sacramento rally, reporting on the "sea of red, white and blue U.S. flags waved above a large crowd that surrounded the building and spilled into city streets." "We've had it!" Meckler shouted. "We're tired of being punished by politicians!" The crowd cheered wildly and drowned out Meckler's voice, chanting, "Vote them out! Vote them out!" $11 trillion 'micromanaging' price sparks explosion in sovereignty movement A movement to reclaim for states all rights not specifically designated to the federal government in the U.S. Constitution is exploding across the nation, with 35 states already acting or at least considering such proposals and one state lawmaker estimating the nation as a whole could save $11 trillion in coming years if it would succeed. WND reported not long ago when the number of states with lawmakers considering such sovereignty efforts reached 20. Now, according to the Tenth Amendment Center, such provisions have been launched in at least 35 states. They all address the Tenth Amendment that says: "powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." South Carolina's S. 424 is an example. It is titled: "To affirm South Carolina's sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution over all powers not enumerated and granted to the federal government by the United States Constitution." Essentially it's a reminder that the United States is made up of individual states; it's not a federal authority broken up into political subdivisions. In South Carolina, the proposals remains pending in the state Senate, where Sen. Lee Bright said he still hopes that it will be adopted this year. The proposal there notes specifically that the "federal government was created by the states to be an agent of the states," and the states currently "are treated as agents of the federal government," many times in violation of the Constitution. The resolution states: Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring: That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, claims for the State of South Carolina sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the United States Constitution. Be it further resolved that all federal governmental agencies, quasi-governmental agencies, and their agents and employees operating within the geographic boundaries of the State of South Carolina, and all federal governmental agencies and their agents and employees, whose actions have effect on the inhabitants or lands or waters of the State of South Carolina, shall operate within the confines of the original intent of the Constitution of the United States and abide by the provisions of the Constitution of South Carolina, the South Carolina statutes, or the common law as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. Bright told WND the movement is spreading from state to state as fast as lawmakers discover it. Michael Boldin, a spokesman for the Tenth Amendment Center, said his organization has created a posting for all such proposals to be tracked. Among the states where such proposals at least have been considered are Louisiana, Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, West Virginia, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Nevada, Oregon, Alabama, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Idaho, New Mexico, South Dakota, Virginia, Kentucky, Alaska, Indiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, Minnesota, South Carolina, Georgia, Kansas, Texas, New Hampshire, Missouri, Iowa, Montana, Michigan, Arizona, Washington and Oklahoma. In North Dakota, it passed the House and Senate both in April, with the House a short time later adopting changes made by the Senate. In South Dakota, it was approved by both houses of the Legislature, and under that state's rules does not need the governor's signature. Just last week, Rep. M.J. "Manny" Steele, a Republican, in South Dakota wrote that he believes up to $11 trillion is being wasted in the coming years by Washington's efforts "to duplicate and micromanage our states' affairs." He said states should manage their own affairs, and not be dependant on a federal cash cow to make ends meet. Likewise with industries, he said, citing federal cash dumps on the banking, insurance and automobile industries. After all, he agreed, with enough federal money allocated to the industry, Americans all still could be listening to 8-track tapes in their cars, but would that really be the best outcome? Steele told WND his dollar estimate was based on what President Obama himself has allocated in the coming years to spend on stimulus packages, industry bailouts and the like. "If we would just let the market take care of these things," he said. His letter noted that Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma and South Carolina legislatures joined South Dakota's in passing some statement on the Tenth Amendment this year. The results vary based on state procedures, however. In Oklahoma, the governor vetoed the plan and it was launched on its second trip through the legislature. "Over the course of decades, there have been increasing federal mandates and acts designed to effectively step in and legislate the affairs of our various states from Washington D.C.," Steele said. "Federal usurpation into state affairs severely limits the ability of state governments to operate according to their citizens' wishes." GM to import Chinese-made cars As thousands of company's workers await word on more U.S. plant closures As thousands of General Motors workers await word on more U.S. plant closures, reports that the company plans to import Chinese-made vehicles to the U.S. have created a political problem for the automaker and the White House. The reports, which GM will neither confirm nor deny, could mean trouble because GM is supported by $15.4 billion in U.S. government loans, largely due to the Obama administration's desire to preserve the company's 90,000 U.S. jobs. The United Auto Workers charged last week that the Detroit automaker intends to almost double over the next five years the number of vehicles it imports to the U.S. from Mexico, South Korea, China and Japan. "GM should not be taking taxpayers' money simply to finance the outsourcing of jobs to other countries," Alan Reuther, the union's Washington lobbyist, wrote in a letter to U.S. lawmakers. The carmaker, which was in danger of running out of cash early this year, faces a June 1 government deadline to cut costs and complete other restructuring measures or go into Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It also has requested another $11.6 billion in government loans to make it through this year, and faces the prospect that the government will soon be its largest shareholder. On Wednesday, Shanghai Securities News and other Chinese media reported that GM plans to begin exporting vehicles from China to the U.S. within two years, ramping up sales to more than 50,000 by 2014. GM spokesman Tom Wilkinson in Detroit would not comment on the reports. The White House and Treasury Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment. "GM is reviewing various options," GM's China office said in a written statement received Thursday. "We are not discussing details of our future portfolio, beyond what we have disclosed in auto shows and our viability plans." But the report reiterated the company's emphasis on first meeting demand in the Chinese domestic market. "GM's philosophy has always been to build where we sell, and we continue to believe that is the best strategy for long-term success, both from a product development and business planning standpoint," it said. Harley Shaiken, a professor at the University of California at Berkley who specializes in labor issues, said increased overseas production and imports could prove politically tricky for GM. "The reason is simple - production location is a corporate decision, but when it's on the taxpayer dime, there are different sensitivities, so the notion of billions for a rescue package and offshore production, I think, could be politically combustible," he said. Shaiken said GM needs to lower costs, which is accomplished with cheaper overseas labor. But it must also address concerns of the U.S. government, which wants to preserve American jobs. "GM is getting funding from U.S. taxpayers to help save the company," Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, said. "Taxpayers deserve more than Chinese imports in return. Taxpayer funds should be used to build the next generation of fuel-efficient vehicles in the U.S., not abroad. This is about creating jobs and rebuilding our economy." GM, though, says the percentage of cars made and sold in the U.S. will remain stable. Company documents show that American-made cars will comprise 67 percent of all vehicles sold in the country this year. The number drops slightly to 66 percent in GM's 2014 projections. Imports will amount to 33 percent this year, rising to 34 percent by 2014. The company says the import mix could change by 2014, with fewer vehicles produced in Canada and more produced in Mexico and other countries. "The percentage sold in the U.S. will stay constant within a percent or two," Wilkinson said. "The number of vehicles built in the U.S. will increase as the market recovers." He reiterated that the company's goal is to build vehicles in the regions where they are sold, in part to avoid getting stung by currency fluctuations. GM, he said, builds 90 percent of vehicles sold in the U.S. in North America, and that is not expected to change. Of the 3 million vehicles GM sold in the U.S. last year, it imported the Chevrolet Aveo and Pontiac G3 subcompacts from South Korea, the Pontiac G8 muscle car from Australia and the Saturn Astra compact from Belgium. The Saturn Vue, Chevrolet HHR small sport utility vehicles and several pickup truck models were imported from Mexico. Full-size pickup trucks, several sedans and small SUVs and the Chevrolet Camaro were brought in from Canada. Still, the UAW generally opposes importing vehicles into the U.S. According to its figures, the percentage of GM's U.S. sales from Mexico, South Korea, Japan and China will increase from 15.5 percent now to 23.5 percent in 2014. Reuther wrote that GM's increased imports would be equal to the output of four U.S. assembly plants, "the same number that GM plans to close." The union currently is negotiating with GM for government-demanded labor cost cuts, including 16 plant closures. At a leadership meeting in Cleveland Wednesday, leaders were told to expect a vote on concessions before the June 1 deadline. GM millwright Ron Bear of Belleville, Mich., who attended the meeting, said the rank-and-file would be unhappy with any more imports. "As far as importing cars, what is that going to do for our jobs? I guess that's the question," he said. GM would be the first company to import cars from China although automakers have brought in components in the past to save on labor costs. Most Chinese automakers have been daunted by meeting U.S. safety standards. They also face the uphill battle of winning consumer confidence for unfamiliar brands. According to Chinese media reports, the primary exports to the U.S. would be small cars similar to the Chevrolet Spark subcompact. David Cole, chairman of the Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor, says it makes good business sense for GM to import subcompacts from China because the U.S. market for them is uncertain, but there is strong demand in China. With gas prices around $2 per gallon most Americans will keep driving bigger cars. U.S. sales would be too small to justify the expense of building and equipping an assembly plant, he said. At the same time, exports to the U.S. would allow GM to keep its Chinese plants running at maximum capacity, which is the formula to make money, he said. "In the short term, you're going to locate your plants where the core of the market is for that product," he said. Cole suggested that for Obama, returning the company to viability would outweigh the drawbacks of importing some cars. "What's more important, some jobs in a particular factory somewhere or the overall success of the company?" Cole asked. "That is really far more important." Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on May 27, 2009, 08:07:12 PM How Do You Feel About A National Sales Tax?
Perhaps if we were talking about doing away with our current federal system and replacing it with the Fair Tax, but, not, that is not what Los Federales are considering With budget deficits soaring and President Obama pushing a trillion-dollar-plus expansion of health coverage, some Washington policymakers are taking a fresh look at a money-making idea long considered politically taboo: a national sales tax. Cant blame this one on Bush! (Though theyll try) Common around the world, including in Europe, such a tax called a value-added tax, or VAT has not been seriously considered in the United States. But advocates say few other options can generate the kind of money the nation will need to avert fiscal calamity. Most nations around the world are the size, if not smaller, then our States, who have their own sales taxes. And quite a bit of that fiscal calamity is being made worse or created by the current Congress and administration. So, now you may have to pay for their malfeasance. There is a growing awareness of the need for fundamental tax reform, Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) said in an interview. I think a VAT and a high-end income tax have got to be on the table. Before saying that you should read the whole article, I say, the Dems should go for it. Bring it up and out into the open. Many of them, and their liberal interest groups and other elites, seem to think this is a wonderful idea. But, well see how far it goes, and how high the national anger from the people of this country, the ones who would be paying 10 to 25 cents extra per dollar spent. Of course, what would happen is that purchasing would be minimal. Luxury items? Forget it. That new TV you were thinking of? Nope. Not now. The damage to the economy would be amazing. And virtually every single elected official who favored a VAT would be looking for a new job. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on May 27, 2009, 08:41:11 PM I would currently say NO to a National Sales tax because of the MASS CORRUPTION, CRIMES, AND PLANNED EXTORTIONS OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!
I would say YES to a National Sales tax if the entire system was CONSTITUTIONAL! I'm talking about getting the Federal Government COMPLETELY OUT OF STATES' BUSINESS AND STATE SOVEREIGNTY. The POWER of the Federal Government MUST BE REDUCED to Constitutional Limits before any plan makes any sense. National Defense is one of the FEW CONSTITUTIONAL DUTIES OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT - AS A SERVANT TO THE STATES! SO: FIRST - The STATES must take back all RIGHTS, SOVEREIGNTY, AND AUTHORITY BACK! SECOND - The FEDERAL budgets must be slashed dramatically to CONSTITUTIONAL LIMITS! This would END the dreams of want to be dictators, socialist, and communists. The ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL programs and budgets would be GONE! Then we could have the STATES decide the CONSTITUTIONAL BUDGET for the slave FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! It would primarily be NATIONAL DEFENSE - THE CONSTITUTIONAL BUSINESS OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: light2light on June 05, 2009, 10:17:54 PM Tea Party protestors can pick up Reagans mantle
By: Examiner Editorial - 06/04/09 12:05 AM EDT Frustrated Americans participating in Tea Party protests across the country upheld the nations proud tradition of citizen participation, even though they are under increasing assault from politicians and bureaucratic planners in Washington. But demonstrations alone are not enough to reverse excessive government intrusion into the private sector. The challenge now is to re-energize the essential principles of constitutionally limited government in an enduring and lasting way. With Americans using the power of the Internet to organize and galvanize a growing anti-tax movement aimed at restoring limited government, the time is ripe to revisit the unfinished business of the Reagan Revolution. This is especially relevant in the nations capital this week as a bust of the 40th president is unveiled in the Capitol and former first lady Nancy Reagan visits with Michelle Obama. In a speech at the Jefferson Memorial on July 3, 1987, Reagan reminded Americans that political freedom cannot long survive unless economic freedom is equally respected. To that end, Reagan used the address to propose a series of legislative initiatives that went largely unheralded at the time, but that could serve as a detailed blueprint for Tea Party protesters seeking to link their demonstrations to a compelling program for reform. Reagans Economic Bill of Rights was built around four fundamental freedoms: The freedom to work, the freedom to enjoy the fruits of ones labor, the freedom to own and control ones personal property, and the freedom to participate in a free market. To secure these freedoms, Reagan outlined 10 initiatives folded into a series of constitutional amendments that have a special salience today. For example, Reagan called for a balanced budget amendment and the line-item veto. Would we face a $1.7 trillion deficit today had Congress acted on Reagans ideas in 1987? Steven Hayward of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) has suggested that Tea-Party protestors apply Reagans 1987 reform package to the contemporary crisis by, among other things, adding provisions for term limitations and anti-earmark legislation. Were still Thomas Jeffersons children, still believers that freedom is the unalienable right of all Gods children, Reagan said in his 1987 speech. Jefferson fervently believed that restraints were needed on the federal government to protect individual freedom. Contemporary revolutionaries now have the opportunity to channel the best of Jefferson through Reagan. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/Tea-Party-protestors-can-pick-up-Reagans-mantle---46847482.html Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on June 06, 2009, 12:46:10 AM Thanks Light2light!
I think it will eventually require much more than just tea-parties. Legislation is already in the works for over 30 States to demand and take back CONSTITUTIONAL STATE SOVEREIGNTY. The Federal Government is to be the SERVANT to the STATES - NOT the other way around. The Federal Government has USURPED POWER that it does NOT have the power to take. In the process, the Federal Government has trampled all over the RULE OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION! They MUST be HELD ACCOUNTABLE, and they WILL BE! The dreams of want-to-be DICTATORS and COMMUNIST PARTY ELITES MUST BE DASHED TO A MILLION PIECES, and THEY WILL BE! This is still a FREE COUNTRY, and GOVERNMENT IS BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. THE PEOPLE haven't authorized, NOR WILL THEY, the GROSS VIOLATION OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION! IT'S TIME FOR IMPEACHMENTS AND CRIMINAL CHARGES! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on June 20, 2009, 12:05:07 PM Independence Day tea party tally explodes
National organizers expect more nationwide protests on July 4 than ever The tea party movement is showing fresh signs of momentum as the national tally is once again exploding. Amy Kremer, national organizer for the Tea Party Patriots, told WND her organization is expecting more rallies on Independence Day weekend than were held on April 15 this year. "They are going on all across the country," Kremer said. "Last time it was on one day; this time it is all July 4 weekend. We will have more tea parties this time around than we did last time, for sure." Tea Party Patriots is organizing more than 220 national tea parties scheduled for Independence Day weekend that will focus on the following three principles: fiscal responsibility, limited government and free market. In addition to protesting excessive government spending, Kremer said the organization will also emphasize citizen opposition to government-run health care. "The administration is ratcheting up its rhetoric on pushing through its 'health care reform,'" Kremer said. "We can have tea parties until the end of time, but we need to be effective. We're using our tea parties as a platform and an opportunity to educate people about what is going on with this and why we are opposed to government-run health care. If the government gets involved and imposes any kind of governmental health care, it is intrusive into our lives, and it will absolutely affect the free market." Tea Party Patriots held a town hall forum in Washington, D.C., Wednesday. It focused on the Obama administration's plans for government-run health care. "We're going to continue holding them throughout the country until the legislation comes to a vote on the floor of Congress," she said. "We are already starting the conversation with the town hall forums. For those who are not already looped into that conversation, the Independence Day event will be an opportunity to start that conversation." But the party won't end there. Kremer said Tea Party Patriots has organized another national protest to be held July 17. Her group is encouraging motivated citizens to meet simultaneously at every representative's and senator's office in the country at 12 p.m. EST to show their commitment to stopping Washington's health care agenda. "It's important because all of these people are concerned about this slippery slope to socialism," she said. Every day there is something the Obama administration or Congress is trying to push through to take more control over our lives." Kremer referenced Obama's recent firing of the CEO of GM and is sale of Chrysler to Fiat. "That's not America," she said. "That's not about free market and capitalism. All of these people are coming together to protect this country and the Constitution. We want to protect America and our capitalist society." Meanwhile, the American Family Association's Tea Party Day website reports its list of registered organizers will be hosting tea parties in nearly 1,200 cities scheduled for Independence Day. WND readers have been sending information on upcoming tea parties. Tea Party Patriots lists events by state on its website. Most of the following protests are organized by Kremer and her Tea Party Patriots team: (see the following link for this information) http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=100831 additional information can be seen at: http://www.resistnet.com/ Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on June 20, 2009, 10:52:54 PM If we want to celebrate our Independence and Freedom next year, we'd better SPEAK UP AND STAND UP! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: HisDaughter on July 05, 2009, 12:20:59 PM Tea parties from sea to shining sea
More than 2,000 tax, Big Government protests in all 50 states -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted: July 05, 2009 11:28 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily From the Kansas City tea party WASHINGTON More than 2,000 tea parties from coast to coast attracted hundreds of thousands tax and Big Government protesters on Independence Day perhaps the biggest July 4 political event in America since the proclamation of the Declaration of Independence. From Washington and New York on the East Coast to Los Angeles and Monterey on the West Coast and all points between, Americans had their say yesterday about bailouts, cap-and-trade bills and new federal spending programs that they believe are mortgaging their children's futures and robbing them of personal freedom. The turnouts that defied traditional July 4 diversions, heat and rain encouraged organizers looking forward to the next scheduled tea party events Sept. 12 in Washington, D.C. Nearly 5,000 people turned out in Oklahoma City at the state Capitol building. That protest was one of 32 in Oklahoma alone. In San Antonio, Texas, between 3,000 and 4,000 gathered in intense heat throughout the day at the Rio Cibolo Ranch. Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber," was one of the featured speakers along with Gov. Rick Perry, who became the first elected official to sign the "Contract with the Constitution," a document that espouses 10 principles including limiting the role of the federal government, protecting the right to bear arms and amending the Constitution to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. In Washington, D.C., the center of expanding federal powers, about 2,000 small-government advocates rallied to express their outrage at the trillion-dollar "stimulus" plans. "They are wasting all of our money," said Sean Albert of Richmond, Va. "They're not running our government like we would run our own checkbooks. When I'm out of money, I stop spending the money." Hundreds also rallied in Atlanta where event organizer Bob Frady told a crowd, "It's time that we take our country back." At Miller Park in Marietta, the Cobb Independence Day Tea Party continued yesterday into a second day with more than 2,000 people in attendance. Some 2,000 people gathered in Morristown, N.J., to mark the nation's birth with and protest the growing size of government. Some signed their name on an oversized version of the Declaration of Independence. Signs in the crowd read: "Save our Constitution" and "America's no longer free." Another dozen rallies were planned yesterday in New Jersey. "The truth of the matter is that our government has gone out of control," Vermont attorney Steven Howard told an assembled crowd in Burlington. "We have let loose the leash and now it is running rampant." In Louisville, Ky., where some 1,500 turned out, Wendy Caswell, president of the local tea party organization, said: "We're definitely for upholding the Constitution, what our forefathers laid out for us, so it was an honor for us to do it on Independence Day." "We're just trying to teach people about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. A lot of what's going on in Congress wouldn't stand up to the Constitution," said Bernard Hargenrader at the Houma, La., tea party, where some 200 gathered at the downtown county courthouse. In Huntsville, Ala., a young medical student wore a Barack Obama mask carrying a sign that said: "Do you really want me to make medical decisions on your behalf? Just say no to government-run health care." The Huntsville rally was one of 11 scheduled in that state. Similar rallies took place in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Albuquerque, N.M.; Bozeman, Mont.; Bloomington, Ill., and Syracuse, N.Y. At the East Texas tea party in Lukin, organizers gave out the White House telephone number and urged attendees to call Obama and tell him: "We are not happy, and we are working to make Texas free from his legislation." Texas' former Solicitor General Ted Cruz, told the crowd that America is "facing the single greatest threat to our liberty that we've ever seen. I believe that President Obama was elected because we failed to lead. But I also believe that his greatest legacy as president will be that he inspired a new generation of conservatives to rise up and defend our liberty." Cruz is running for state attorney general. "I like to think of Texas as America on steroids," Cruz said. "It is a spirit that says 'give me a horse, a gun and an open plain and I can conquer the world.'" In Olympia, Wash., about 1,500 turned out for a rally on the Capitol campus. In Hawaii, tea party protesters draped American flags and placards along the Kaahumanu Highway in Kona. In Montgomery, Ala., some 500 protesters gathered at Overlook Park sporting signs that said: "No Obama heath care" and "What would Jefferson do?" cont... "It is a day when we celebrate the independence of our country and not that it is a democracy, it is a republic," said Pat O'Malley, organizer of the Clearwater, Fla., tea party. "And the powers that be are trying to turn it into a democracy." Obama was a source of irritation for tea party attendees in Fayetteville, Ark. Joan Phillips carried a sign that read: "Washington: Where's your common sense?" She was not talking about George Washington. She said Obama is trying to make the country socialist. "He is selling us down the drain," she said. "I decided to get up off my fanny and hold my sign here." Organizers around the country expressed their delight with turnouts. In Reno, Nev., organizer Debbie Landis put the crowd at 3,000. "I was in the middle of a conversation and I turned around and saw all these people it filled me with joy that this many people care," Landis said. "We're deeply concerned about this administration and previous administrations' frivolous spending. We're afraid what will happen if cap-and-trade [is passed]." About 300 turned out in Asheville, N.C., where signs read: "When taxes rise, freedom dies" and "Taxation without representation is no 4th of July picnic." "We felt we couldn't sit back anymore and not say anything," Jan Sherlock said. "We just do not want to go to socialism." Bill O'Connor, the organizer for the event, came dressed as Patrick Henry. "We're on our way to declaring independence from an oppressive government," O'Connor said. "The main thing is citizens are going to speak today who have deep concerns about things going on at all levels of the government." In Lansing, Mich., Joan Fabiano shouted into the microphone: "We are tired of the out-of-control spending, tired of the socialization of our government, tired of the erosion of our personal liberties." "It's not about the freedom anymore," said Justin Bovee at a rally in Twin Falls, Idaho. "It's about the power. They can get away with tax fraud while we go to prison." "Don't Tread on Me" flags were in evidence at many of the tea party rallies, including one at Southfork Ranch, Texas. Some in the crowd there wore shirts supporting independence for the state of Texas. Signs from the WND "tea party store" including "Where's the birth certificate?" were in evidence at many rallies. In Grandville, Mich., Ida Pettibone carried a sign that read: "Give me liberty, don't give me debt." "To stand for liberty is to stop the growth of government," said Pettibone, 65. "Our government is in so much debt, and we need to stop it." There were still more rallies in Plantes Ferry Park, Idaho; Starkville, Miss.; Lincoln, Neb.; Nanuet, N.Y.; Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Temecula, Calif. In Tallahassee, Fla., attorney Pace Allen, organizer of the event, explained: "It is a rally against wasteful, excessive government spending. Excessive bailouts, handouts and entitlements are bankrupting our country." To the south in Pensacola, about 100 turned out to express fears about socialism and government spending. "I am tired of the direction the administration is taking the nation," said Greg Sutton, 44. "Socialism does not work. It never has worked. It never will." More than 2,000 turned out in Yuma, Ariz., where Dan Shooter said: "I think this is a message to Washington. We're coming. We're coming." At the Phoenix rally, Daniel Medina, 36, said: "We've been talking a lot about the Constitution today. We wanted to exercise our free speech. We're coming together as patriots, not as one political party or another. We're being taxed and taxed and taxed." "Our children and grandchildren are going to be taxed out of their gourds," said Frank Giordano at the Augusta, Maine, rally. "It's young people that elected Obama. But they don't realize how much they're going to have to pay (in taxes) because of him." Thomas Tabback, an author and inspirational speaker, told an audience in Quincy, Ill., to remember what the nation's independence is all about. "This is one of the most important Independence Days in a long time," he said. "There's a huge power grab going on and still, many average Americans out there don't realize how many of our freedoms are at stake." In Tyler, Texas, Kevin Hard said, "I think what we're really finding here is that all of the people here are united in a cause, and we all understand that we're all on the same page. The number one issue of the day is the out-of-control government spending. If we could harness that in, there (are) a whole lot of other issues that could work themselves out. We're very concerned, especially for our children and grandchildren, the generations to come. We want to leave this a great place just like we had it when we were kids." Nearly 2,000 turned out in Tyler. Elected officials were few and far between at the tea parties, but Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb., addressed a crowd of 300 in Omaha, explaining that Democrats "love to tax. They love to spend." "Taxation is the taking of our freedom," Terry said. "Today, we celebrate the freedoms that are inherent to being an American." The tea party concept is both a remembrance of the original Boston Tea Party and an acronym that stands for "Taxed enough already." In Wichita Falls, Texas, they brough both ideas together by reading the Declaration of Independence aloud. "Many people have never read it before, or they read the first two paragraphs then stop," one organizer explained. In Stafford County, Va., Dylan Stefl held a sign almost as big as he is. It read "7 and already in debt." "We're banking on his future today," said Pat Stefl, Dylan's father. "And we've had enough of too many taxes." Some 700 turned out in Altoona, Wis. Organizer Micah Stofferahn said, "It cost us about $1,000 to put on this event. ... If the government would have put it on, it would be $65,000 at least." Rallies also took place in Memphis, Tenn.; Beaufort, S.C.; Greensboro, Ga., and Odessa, Texas. About 1,500 turned out in Columbia, S.C., where Republican Sen. Jim DeMint addressed the crowd. In Salina, Kan., several hundred gathered to sing patriotic songs, read the Declaration of Independence and sound off against taxes and national health care. In Joplin, Mo., hundreds listened to state Rep. Jim Guest say, "I believe we have a government that is out of control and ignoring the wishes of the people." Guest has sponsored a resolution that reclaims Missouri's sovereignty under the U.S. Constitution's 10th Amendment and would have told the federal government to "cease and desist" all mandates "beyond the scope of ... constitutionally delegated powers." The resolution passed in the House but stalled in a Senate committee. "Our 10th Amendment protection is slowly slipping away," Guest told the crowd Saturday, saying he would raise the resolution again next year and that it would likely enjoy more Senate support the second time around. Hundreds turned out in Del Rio, Texas, and more than 500 in Norwich, Conn. But several thousand gathered in Ventura County, Calif., where signs read: "We Are In Hot Water," "One Nation Under God" and "You Can't Fix Stupid, But You Can Vote Them Out." Among the speakers was Ted Baehr, founder of Movieguide, a magazine that analyzes movies from a biblical perspective. Baehr said because of the burden of the growing national debt and higher taxes, the United States was "on the road to serfdom" with a tax burden that would have people working six months a year to cover taxes. He also said the true national debt was heading toward $56 trillion, most current estimates peg the total at about $11.5 trillion. Baehr also touched on the new "cap and trade" proposals that would create a system of controlling pollution by setting a cap on total emissions, but also allowing for companies to trade emission credits so that cleaner companies can sell their credits. It would also tax polluters, which could mean the cost would be passed onto consumers. "It means there will be a carbon tax, so are we going to be taxed for our breathing?" he asked. Sister, you have good tastes in your choices. ;D I think there were thousands of tea-parties around the country that they don't even know about. The MSM doesn't want to cover them and let the country know how many are protesting. Instead, they hit the local newspapers, local radio stations, and local television stations. As an example, I know there were MANY just in Oklahoma. I might also add that there were many that didn't get coverage because of LEFT-MEDIA in many places. After all, it might be embarrassing for our so-called government that has run WILD with total disregard for the RULE OF LAW, THE CONSTITUTION, THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE, AND THE WISHES OF THE PEOPLE. Our so-called government is NOT representing the people - RATHER trying to establish TYRANNY OVER THE PEOPLE. They don't UNDERSTAND YET what the PEOPLE will and WILL NOT TOLERATE. They don't seem to REMEMBER the basic concepts of a FREE COUNTRY - GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on July 06, 2009, 07:43:02 PM Patriots wage war on Obama socialism
States line up to 'opt out' of government health care Citizen protest movements against taxes, deficit spending and wildly escalating federal social welfare programs under President Obama are gaining momentum, despite attempts by the administration and their supporters to ridicule such movements, Jerome Corsi's Red Alert reports. With a new round of tea party tax protests held during the Independence Day holiday, Arizona has added a new dimension to the revolt against Obama's policies by passing a law designed to opt the state out of any universal health care insurance plan the administration manages to get passed through Congress. Republican Nancy Barto, state representative in Arizona, has been responsible for advancing though the Arizona legislature a bill that would amend the state constitution so that no resident would be required to participate in any public health care program. "HCR2014 is proactive and will protect patients' fundamental rights," Barto told the Examiner. "We are a front-line battle state to stop momentum of this powerful government takeover of your health care decisions. Health care by lobbyists thwarts your rights and can be stopped here." Known as "Arizona's Heath Care Freedom Act," the initiative will be on the 2010 Arizona ballot. Indiana, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota and Wyoming are all considering similar legislation to opt out of "Obamacare," the current effort by the administration to pass a government-funded universal health care insurance bill. Meanwhile, tea party organizers are fighting back against Obama administration supporters who derisively used "tea bagging" in reference to certain homosexual practices. Organizers of the Texas Tea Party invited actress Janeane Garofolo to join them in Texas on July 4 and posted a video of their invitation on YouTube. Garofalo, an actress on Fox television's drama "24," called tea partiers "a bunch of tea-bagging rednecks," adding "this is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up." According to the Tenth Amendment Center, at least 70 percent of the states have launched provisions to exert state sovereignty based on the 10th Amendment to the Constitution, which stipulates that "powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited to it by the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." "What we are trying to do is to get the U.S. Congress out of the state's businesses," said Oklahoma Republican State Sen. Randy Brogdon, lead sponsor of the Oklahoma version of the sovereignty bill. Brogdon is currently running for governor in Oklahoma in 2010. WND's June 2009 issue of the Whistleblower magazine, entitled "Don't Tread on Me: Rebellion in America's Heartland," also covers the move by several states to exempt guns from federal regulation. The state of Montana has drawn a land in the sand, challenging the federal government to decide whether guns and ammo made, sold and used in Montana require federal registration. Following Montana's lead, Utah Rep. Carl Wimmer has prepared a bill that would gain new protections for gun owners by asserting the state's sovereignty under the Ninth and 10th amendments. WND has reported that Wimmer intends his legislation to exempt from federal gun regulations any Utah resident seeking to own a firearm made in Utah. "What is clear is that millions of Americans are getting increasingly turned off by the Obama administration's move to increase dramatically the size and control of the federal government," Corsi wrote. "With no end of trillion dollar deficits anywhere in sight under President Obama, average Americans are saying 'no more' to escalating taxes and programs such as 'Obamacare.'" In writing "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," Corsi predicted that Barack Obama was a Saul Alinsky radical who would rule from the far left, not from the political center. "With President Obama's rating dropping and the global recession deepening, this is the time we need to fight back by returning to the principles of limited government espoused by our founders," Corsi wrote. "Now is the time to defeat the Obama administration cap-and-trade bill in the Senate and to fight the Obama health care plan in the House." Before 2009 is over, the Obama administration plans to introduce to Congress yet another version of the "shamnesty" bill, euphemistically packaged as "comprehensive immigration reform," says Corsi. Having twice defeated the Kennedy-McCain version of that bill, Red Alert believes American patriots will once again reject "guest worker programs" and "pathways to citizenship" on the call to secure U.S. borders and enforce our existing immigration laws. "The time to save America from Obama socialism is running short," Corsi noted, "but the battle has only just begun." Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on July 06, 2009, 08:37:36 PM It appears that the general public is STARTED on EDUCATION for what's happening, and they won't TOLERATE it. It's about time because all of our RIGHTS AND FREEDOM are on the line. If we DEMAND that our LAWS AND CONSTITUTIONS be obeyed and ENFORCED, the socialists and communists will either go to PRISON or HOME - HOME hopefully NOT in this country. Regardless, the general public and the STATES must say NO AND MEAN IT! - NO DEBATE - NO COMPROMISE - END OF STORY - JUST "NO!" ON EVERY ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACT! The Congress and the Senate DO NOT have the power to pass ANY ILLEGAL OR UNCONSTITUTIONAL LEGISLATION. Power has gone to their head, and they have forgotten that the PEOPLE ARE IN CHARGE, and we DEMAND our RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, LAWS ENFORCED, AND CONSTITUTIONS ENFORCED!
Our so-called representatives need to be RUDELY REMINDED that the PEOPLE can put them in PRISON for VIOLATING OUR LAWS, CONSTITUTIONS, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS. In fishing terms, we need to reel them in. In dog owner terms, we need to put them on a short leash and send them to obedience school. If a muzzle is required - SO BE IT! In MONEY terms, we need to cut up their credit cards and take control of the checkbook. It's OUR MONEY, and WE will decide how to spend it. In terms of POWER, our so-called government NEEDS A BURR HAIRCUT and be humbled before their BOSSES - THE PEOPLE! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on July 07, 2009, 06:59:57 PM "The Age Of Despotism" by Chuck Baldwin
This past Independence Day weekend, my friend, LCDR (Retired) Guy Cunningham, delivered an outstanding address here in Pensacola, Florida, in which he said that America is now in "The Age of Perfidy." He went on to say that our country is soon to enter "The Age of Despotism." I candidly confess that I believe the retired Naval officer could be more right than we might want to admit. Commander Cunningham is no slouch. He was a Green Beret (who served in the same Special Forces company alongside his father and two brothers), an infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division, Navy pilot, mission commander and analyst. He is also the author of the now-famous 29 Palms Survey. His military credentials are unassailable. When Commander Cunningham speaks, people should listen. Commander Cunningham revealed tremendous insight into the stranglehold that the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) holds over the U.S. military by estimating that "75% of military admirals and generals with two stars or more have been trained by the CFR." He also came to the defense of Michael New, who rightly honored his oath to the Constitution by refusing to submit to the authority, uniform, and military commanders of the United Nations when ordered to do so by his superior officers. Speaking of the UN, Commander Cunningham rightly assessed the international body to be a sinister organization that threatened the sovereignty and independence of the United States, and from which the US needed to withdraw. He also boldly stated that any and all treaties made with the UN should be immediately annulled. Commander Cunningham also highlighted the results of his 29 Palms Survey (conducted in 1994), in which more than 20% of those combat-trained Marines surveyed stated that they would fire upon American citizens in order to confiscate their firearms if ordered to do so and, if required, would swear allegiance to the United Nations. Cunningham said he feared that if those same questions were asked of our Marines today, the percentage would be even higher. It was Commander Cunningham's statement that the United States is on the verge of despotism, however, that really grabbed my attention. If anyone should know the ins and outs of the science of freedom and oppression, it is Commander Cunningham. His research and analysis of history, both American and military, gives him a keen insight into the subject. In supporting his ominous conclusion, Cunningham noted former President Bill Clinton's introduction of PDD 25 (a Presidential Directive that is still in place), which reportedly authorizes the President to use and declare martial law at any time, for any reason. He reminded us of how the US military has been used several times for action on US soil. The US military was used directly in the government attack against the Branch Davidians at the private residence of Mount Carmel outside Waco, Texas. The military was stationed outside Los Angeles, California, during the LA riots. The military was used in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The military even patrolled the streets of the tiny town of Geneva, Alabama, after a man went on a short, albeit bloody, shooting spree. Commander Cunningham also reminded us of how President George W. Bush virtually expunged Posse Comitatus and set the table for despotism and martial law by signing the USA Patriot Act into existence. As a result, we now have an entire Army division assigned to the American homeland, a first in US history. He noted that even FEMA has the authority to declare martial law. Commander Cunningham also referenced recent Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sponsored reports that refer to pro-life Christians, proponents of the Second Amendment, and supporters of Ron Paul and yours truly (along with many others) as potential terrorists. Such gross mischaracterizations of law-abiding people--based solely on their political views--serves only to reveal the federal government's willingness to both demonize and marginalize people for the purpose of preparing the stage for possible military and police action against them, he said. The commander said further that his intelligence tells him that there are Muslim terrorists already in the United States who are planning to stage multi-city attacks, perhaps as early as this summer. He also expressed incredulity at the fact that our federal government certainly knows that these Muslim terrorists have been slipping across the southern border of the US for some time and there has been almost no attempt by any Presidential administration to stop them. Commander Cunningham also expressed the fear that, should another attack occur within our country, the current administration would not hesitate to declare martial law, which would almost certainly include the confiscation of firearms. At that point, he said, America will have entered "The Age of Despotism." I think it prudent, at this point, to make note of the fact that it was the attempted confiscation of firearms by the British Crown that precipitated the "shot heard 'round the world" and the advent of America's War for Independence. Until then, America's founders were content to use peaceful means to petition British injuries and injustices. But when the Crown moved against their guns, the colonists resisted with violence, and there was no remedy but complete and permanent separation. If Commander Cunningham's educated prognostications regarding the Obama administration's intentions to confiscate our guns and put us under some sort of despotic rule are accurate, it is incumbent to remember that a British king and a Japanese emperor each "awakened a sleeping giant" within the hearts of the American people by attempting to render us defenseless. If, now, a US President wants to repeat history, all he needs to do is try and bring about "The Age of Despotism," and he will find that the "sleeping giant" is still very much alive and well in the hearts of millions of freedom-loving Americans. P.S. We will have Commander Cunningham's video address uploaded to my web site soon. Watch for it at http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/ Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on July 07, 2009, 11:24:36 PM Quote "The Age Of Despotism" by Chuck Baldwin Frankly, something like this is becoming easier to believe by the day. I had no idea about the Marines being brainwashed, and this is very disturbing. Is the situation growing this bad? Probably YES. The mind-numbing number of illegal and Unconstitutional acts with no response is INSANE. Who knows what happens from here except GOD? There are many peaceful things left in the play-book to do. The days ahead will require much prayer. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on August 02, 2009, 08:24:56 AM THIS AIN'T NO TEA PARTY
See rebellion at grass roots Watch congressional greetings at town hall meetings at home Call it the tea party that never ends. A rebellion is brewing in home congressional districts of incumbent Democrats evidenced by the reaction at several town hall meetings. Members are being forced to suspend meetings with their constituents, screaming protesters are being dragged out of events by police and officials are being greeted by protest signs and chants. Rep. Tim Bishop, D-N.Y., has called off further events. "I had felt they would be pointless," he said. "There is no point in meeting with my constituents and [to] listen to them and have them listen to you if what is basically an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation." In Bishop's case, his decision came on the heels of a June 22 event he held in Setauket, N.Y., in which protesters dominated the meeting by shouting criticisms at the congressman for his positions on energy policy, health care and the bailout of the auto industry. Police had to be called to escort the 59-year-old Democrat to his car safely. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., got an earful, too especially on the health-care issue. It's not just members of the House who are getting lectured. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., heard from a very well-informed veteran to the enthusiastic applause of all those gathered. Watch what happened when Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-TX, went out to meet constituents recently. It seems to be the same all over the country. At a health care town hall event in Syracuse, N.Y., in July, police were called in to restore order, and at least one heckler was taken away by local police. Close to 100 sign-carrying protesters greeted Rep. Allen Boyd, D-Fla., at a late June community college small-business development forum in Panama City, Fla. Last week, Danville, Va., anti-tax tea party activists claimed they were "refused an opportunity" to ask Rep. Thomas Perriello, D-Va., a question at a town hall event and instructed by a plainclothes police officer to leave the property after they attempted to hold up protest signs. The biggest source of protests are the health-care bill, the $787 billion economic stimulus package and the cap-and-trade legislation. They're also angry about Barack Obama's refusal to release his birth certificate to prove he is a "natural born citizen" and constitutionally eligible to serve in the White House. Congressional Democrats are anticipating things will only get worse this month when Congress in recess. On Tuesday, Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., who handles incumbent retention duties for House Democrats in addition to chairing the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, met with freshman members to discuss their plans for the month-long August recess. Some are planning to do their local constituent work by telephone conference calls rather than in-person meetings. Some Democrats are blaming Republicans and lobbyists for stirring up the hornet's nest. Brian Smoot, who served as political director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, warned Republicans about engaging in these kinds of ambushes. "It's a risk that they align themselves with such a small minority in the party ... They risk alienating moderates," he said. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on August 02, 2009, 08:28:33 AM Quote "It's a risk that they align themselves with such a small minority in the party ... This group is full of Democrats and Independents as well as republicans. The group is over a half million in size and growing by the thousands daily. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on August 02, 2009, 05:45:37 PM Quote Some Democrats are blaming Republicans and lobbyists for stirring up the hornet's nest. This is a riot and almost funny. It's their actions as communists that has folks upset. They just need to ask themselves one question: Is what I'm attempting to do legal and Constitutional? The answer will be "NO!", so they should stop if they have any common sense. If not, they should face CRIMINAL CHARGES AND REMOVAL FROM OFFICE. Many so-called representatives should learn about the RULE OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION FROM PRISON! Obviously, they should be barred from ever holding public office again and have all benefits they voted in for themselves CANCELED! Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: HisDaughter on September 12, 2009, 12:19:36 PM Tea Party Rally Sparks Dispute Over Potential Turnout
A House leadership aide warned fellow Democrats in a memo obtained by FOXNews.com that up to 2 million people may attend. But conservatives believe Democrats are playing an expectations game to claim the event was a failure. FOXNews.com Friday, September 11, 2009 Democrats are sounding the alarms over the potential turnout at a planned protest in the nation's capital Saturday by opponents of President Obama's domestic policies, but protest organizers say the Democrats' numbers don't add up. The demonstration is part of the Tea Party Movement and the culmination of a 34-city, 7,000-mile bus tour that began Aug. 28 in Sacramento, Calif. The "partiers" want any health care reform to create more competition and be guided by market principles, not a government-run plan. D.C. police are closing streets on Pennsylvania Avenue between 14th and 3rd St. NW as protestors march from Freedom Plaza to the National Mall, where there will be a rally. But there is some confusion over how many people will show up, and where Democrats are getting their estimates. A House leadership aide warned fellow Democrats in a memo obtained by FOXNews.com that up to 2 million people may attend. "It looks like Saturday's event is going to be a huge gathering, estimates ranging from hundreds of thousands to 2 million people," Doug Thornell, an aide to Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., wrote, noting that a demonstration held Thursday turned into an impromptu rally for Rep. Joe Wilson, who has come under fire for his outburst during Obama's nationally televised speech to a joint session of Congress Conservatives have seized on this memo as proof Democrats are playing an expectations game. They say the House leadership wrote the memo in hopes it would be leaked and inflate expectations for the turnout anticipating that it will fall short. "It's an old political tactic to get out in front and make wild projections and when they're not met, claim their opponents don't have the juice," said Pete Sepp, a spokesman for the National Taxpayers Union, one of the organizers of the rally. Sepp said there's only one reason to float a number that high. "You set the bar at 2 million and anything under it becomes a failure," he said, adding that any event in D.C. that attracts 50,000 is considered a success. A crowd of 2 million people, he said, "would exceed our wildest dreams." Even President Obama didn't attract 2 million people to his inauguration, when estimates ranged from 1.2 million to 1.8 million people. But Thornell told FOXNews.com that he was not playing an expectations game and that he simply used the numbers cited by organizers. "I was using their own words and predictions and estimates," he said, explaining his memo was a compilation of statements from different Tea Party Web sites. Thornell said he wrote the memo in response to inquiries from Capitol Hill staffers about the rally. "If you read the memo, it doesn't convey any feeling about this event at all," he said. "I think the memo speaks for itself. It's not about setting expectations." FreedomWorks, the lead organizer who has largely bankrolled the rallies leading up to Saturday's march in Washington, D.C. has said it is expecting tens of thousands to attend. Adam Brandon, a spokesman for FreedomWorks, told Politico he expects the crowd to be in the 20,000-30,000 range. In a blog post, Brendan Steinhauser, the nonprofit group founded in 1984 by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, quoted Morton Blackwell who said "You should underpromise and overachieve." "That is what we are trying to accomplish by not giving the media any crowd estimates that they use against us," Steinhauser wrote. "We want to surprise them and shock the nation by the massive turnout that we expect on 9-12. I can only ask you to trust our judgment in this, and promise you that we will have a huge turnout." Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: HisDaughter on September 13, 2009, 12:40:08 PM A million or more rock Washington
Taxpayer march could be biggest rally ever in capital (To see some wonderful pictures of this event, you can view them on WND.com) Posted: September 12, 2009 9:57 pm Eastern Chelsea Schilling and Alyssa Farah © 2009 WorldNetDaily WASHINGTON The capital was rocked today by a taxpayer march and rally that could be the biggest protest ever potentially dwarfing the Million Man March and the Promise Keepers Rally. Though crowd estimates vary from as low as 60,000 to 70,000 according to ABC News to a high of 2 million by London Daily Mail, photographs and videos of the march and rally demonstrate its enormity. The taxpayers stormed Washington, D.C., today, taking their fight against excessive spending, bailouts, growth of big government and soaring deficits to the front door of the U.S. Capitol. All week citizens have been heading to the Hill by the busloads for the showdown today. The Tea Party Patriots' "Tea Party Express" national bus tour has been hosting a series of tea party rallies all across the nation. A caravan of buses, speakers and entertainers arrived in Washington, D.C., just in time for the march. The taxpayers have paid their own way to the event. The White House said Friday it was unaware of the rally. President Obama has traveled to Minneapolis, Minn., to promote his health-care plans at a rally there. But so many taxpayers showed up on Pennsylvania Avenue that the crowd ran out of room and the march was forced to begin early. WND was at the scene to get crowd reaction and take photos of the protest. Citizens carried hand-made signs that read: 2010: Vote all incumbents out! Our Constitution has termites! We are under attack by our own government Stop the march of socialism You can put lipstick on communism, but it's still communism My family, my doctor Obamacare makes me sick Go green: Recycle Congress I'm not your ATM We had a dream. We got a nightmare Is this Russia? You Lie! Some people donned colonial costumes while the crowd was sprinkled with U.S. and yellow "Don't tread on me" flags. Others, like Laurie Slough of Orlando, Fla., also dressed in costume to demonstrate their message. Slough wore a prison costume and carried a sign that read, "Criminals in Congress, your judgment day is coming." WND also noticed many anti-ACORN signs, following the recent controversy in which one of the organization's offices was exposed supporting prostitution and human trafficking. Politico reported among the signs seen were those asking "Where's the Birth Certificate?" reflections of WND's extensive coverage of the yet-unanswered questions surrounding Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to serve as president. Fox News reported lines of citizens completely filled Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks. "It was wall-to-wall people. I felt like I was in line for Obama health care," said participant Robert Barney of Chesapeake, Va. Organizers have told the media they expect the event to be the largest group of fiscal conservatives to ever gather in Washington. Richard Brigle, 57, a Vietnam War veteran and former Teamster, came from Paw Paw, Mich. He told Fox News that he believes the nation needs health-care reform but not President Obama's plan. "My grandkids are going to be paying for this. It's going to cost too much money that we don't have," he said while marching with a wooden cane. According to the Washington Times, the "Tea Party Express" tour was the fourth most popular topic searched on Yahoo last week. Joe Wierzbicki, national coordinator of the Tea Party Express, told the Times he expected a large turnout. "We were expecting 25,000 a few weeks ago, but now we are hoping for over 50,000," Wierzbicki said. Several organizations united to help organize the National Taxpayer Protest's descent on the Capitol, including: Freedom Works, Grassfire/ResistNet, Tea Party Patriots, National Taxpayers Union, Club for Growth, Americans for Tax Reform, Young Americans for Liberty, Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights, Our Country Deserves Better, Campaign for Liberty, Leadership Institute, Free Republic, Young America's Foundation, the National Association of Rural Land Owners and Smart Girl Politics. Brendan Steinhauser of FreedomWorks, one of the groups that organized the event, told WND, "People want to do this. The people who have been protesting around the country want to come to Washington and do this in D.C. In a lot of ways, they are being ignored and the media is underrepresenting them and their numbers. They want to come together for one big event and send a very clear message." Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on September 13, 2009, 12:51:25 PM Even though it may well be the largest protest ever the WhiteHouse was still unaware of it? I don't that. It is more likely that they just chose to pretend it isn't happening. That way they can deny it all later and continue on with their plans.
Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on September 13, 2009, 02:49:55 PM What this administration wants to do is illegal and Unconstitutional. They need to consider the consequences before trying to ram something through that the states and the people won't TOLERATE. This is not just a matter of politics, rather a matter of THE RULE OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION. It's also a matter of FREEDOM AND OUR WAY OF LIFE that we will not give up to TYRANTS. This is not a matter for negotiation or debate. The answer was NO before they started, and the answer is still NO! Our so-called representatives will be held accountable under the Law and the Constitution, and they should know that the people will not accept TYRANNY!
Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on September 14, 2009, 09:39:33 PM It is now certain that this was the biggest rally ever to hit Washington DC and that doesn't count all the rallies nationwide of protesters that held rallies locally because the couldn't make it to DC. Even though ACORN tried to infiltrate the DC rally and sell American flags and the yellow Don't Tread On Me flags in order to increase their coffers there still weren't any arrests reported at any of the rallies. This really speaks volumes about the protesters.
btw The ACORN group was figured out early on and peacefully expelled from the area by the police. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: nChrist on September 15, 2009, 12:01:20 AM Ref. Acorn, I feel quite certain there are some people working for Acorn who are decent, God-fearing people who don't know yet what Acorn is. They would be like the rest of America and need to WAKE UP, LISTEN, AND LOOK. Those decent people need to separate themselves from Acorn and all of Acorn's affiliates. It's time to leave Acorn with the crooks or go down with the crooks when PRISON TIME COMES, and prison time will come. Eventually, the politicians in bed with Acorn will go down also. Acorn simply has tons of dirt - so much that it's impossible to hide it. The same is true for all of Acorn's affiliates. There are many ongoing investigations of Acorn and affiliates whether Congress orders one or not. Congress is part of what's being investigated. Acorn and affiliates are so dirty and corrupt that Barney Fife and Goober could make multiple rock-solid cases against them. Many people in high places will SURELY be found out and EXPOSED. I think they should be given a choice of seeking political asylum in Iran or PRISON. AND, we should all be able to guess by now that the corruption starts at the TOP and is orchestrated from the TOP. Our politicians know exactly what's going on. Washington, D.C. is an open sewer, and most of the politicians love playing in the sewer. The STINK will get out, and they can't hide. On the other side of the coin, there are some good politicians who are trying to do the right thing, and we need to get behind them and support them. The tables are beginning to turn, AND THEY MUST IF WE WANT TO SAVE THE REPUBLIC FROM SEA TO SEA SEWERS!

It still isn't wide enough to take in all the people that we there. Brother, I got a "Site Maintenance in Progress" message, so I assume this site is overwhelmed with users and people wanting to see this picture right now. I'll try again later. I saw estimates of over 2 million people for the day. As we know, people did come and go. As we also know, many will try to marginalize this and even try to demonize the people who attended. I spoke with someone who was there just the other night, and he said that 2 million would be a conservative estimate. Many of the people there also saw other sites while they were there. Washington, D.C. is a place rich in heritage and history, so many people took advantage of their visit while they were there. By the way, they left it cleaner than it was before they got there, and there was no trouble at all from this great host that has been called dangerous. The closest thing to danger from this crowd was grandma and grandpa putting their teeth in to go visiting. Lots of disabled people showed up, and not one person was assaulted by a cane or a wheelchair. The only thing close to trouble was a group from ACORN, and they were escorted out before they could start any trouble. A close friend of mine brought me an etching from the Vietnam Memorial of another close friend who gave his life 3 days after getting off the plane. Great numbers of Veterans and Christians were there - and YOU KNOW - they didn't cause a problem for anyone! This is almost unheard of in a demonstration of this magnitude. Title: Re: Tea Party revolution brewing Post by: Soldier4Christ on September 20, 2009, 09:40:16 AM There are plenty of reasons for this, too. The people in this protest know what these memorials and the ground they are on means. It is not that they worship the ground they stand on nor place these memorials as idols but rather give respect to and honor those that these things stand for. Freedom and those that gave to achieve that freedom not only for themselves but for those that follow after them. It is respect for the good that was in mankind that overcame evil. The very same evil that we see rising up again today that they are quite peacefully objecting to.

Illegal immigration protesters attacked, pushed into traffic Che Guevara supporters with a radical pro-amnesty coalition viciously attacked and bludgeoned tea party protesters at a Florida anti-illegal-immigration rally, including a 62-year-old man who was beaten and kicked in the face. Americans for Legal Immigration PAC called for "Tea Parties Against Amnesty and Illegal Immigration" to form quickly across the nation on Nov. 14. In less than 30 days, protests were scheduled for more than 50 towns and cities. But two Fort Lauderdale, Fla., tea party protesters were brutally beaten by pro-amnesty activists on the day of the nationwide rally as they attempted to film Florida's Act Now to Stop War and End Racism Coalition counterprotest. ANSWER members carried Che Guevara signs and other black and yellow placards that stated "Full rights for all immigrants." They shouted, "Amnesty yes, racists no!" As the two men attempted to film the protest, an ANSWER member in a black tanktop and blue jeans lunged after one of the cameramen and beat him with a sign, pushing him into traffic. Another ANSWER member in a white T-shirt attacked the same cameraman while the victim defended himself with what appears to be a camera tripod. A female tea party protester began screaming as Dave Caulkett of Floridians for Immigration Enforcement and the initial ANSWER attacker fought in the middle of the street. "Supporters of President Obama's amnesty plans attacked Tea Party Against Amnesty & Illegal Immigration demonstrators in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009. One of the men attacked is 62 years old," ALIPAC reported. "Dave Caulkett of FLIMEN is assaulted and then kicked in the face while he is down. The other cameraman from the tea party is hit with several signs." ALIPAC revealed that ANSWER Florida sent out an e-mail invitation urging members to join its "protest to shut down racist anti-'amnesty' rally" in Fort Lauderdale prior to the event. ANSWER's letter stated the following: The ANSWER Coalition is calling on all its members, allies, and friends to join us tomorrow to confront and shut down the racist "Anti-Amnesty Tea Party" in Fort Lauderdale. The "Anti-Amnesty" rallies being held across the country tomorrow have been initiated by fascist, white supremacist organizations that include the Minutemen and the so-called Americans for Legal Immigration. Recent months have shown a significant rise in extreme-right activity with hate crimes and attacks on immigrants skyrocketing. White supremacist and fascist organizations have boasted rapid growth since the onset of the economic crisis. The new administration has continued the government's anti-immigrant policies with "desktop raids" the liberal response to the fascist like workplace raids of the Bush years. Racism is like anything else in this world: in order to make it fall, you must smash it! That is why we are calling on all people to come out tomorrow, to organize a militant confrontation with the so-called "tea baggers." Beating back these forces will require us to organize together, take the streets, fight the racists wherever they show their faces and drive them out of every community. We are building a movement that will beat back racism so that working people of all nationalities can unite and fight against our one, shared enemy: capitalism. Amnesty, full rights for ALL immigrants, is a demand that should be raised not just by the immigrant communities, but by every working class community in our struggle to solve this crisis by our own means. Join us tomorrow, and join us in building the movement against racism and capitalist exploitation! As WND reported earlier, ALIPAC Chief William Gheen said his group had been calling for a "peaceful, political revolution and uprising in America." Things are backward, inside-out, upside-down, and spiraling down into chaos. The socialists/communists/fascists don't like it when anyone tries to stop them. They've probably encouraged many more people to do just that - STOP THEM! |
