Title: Preaching the word. Post by: preachervern on December 31, 2008, 02:35:06 PM God called me to preach in 2005 at the ripe old age of 53, And I love to go were ever God leads me to preach his word and see people saved. I don't get a lot of calls and sometimes it does hurt. But I hold my head high and keep my eyes on God cause he comes through and open's doors for me.
So if you folks know of anyone that would like to have an Evangelist to come to their Church and tell his story of how God saved me from four death beds and showed me a little bit of Heaven and how I did not want to come back to this sad world please email me. Please Hurry I am getting older and I am not sure on which is going to happen first The Rapture or God taking taking me home the old fashion way. I think the best answer is prayer. GOD will provide the ways, means, and opportunities - this I'm sure of. It might not be what you want, but we have to remember what GOD wants, and HIS Will for us is always the best path. I do know there are empty pulpits around the country, especially in rural areas where people don't have much money. They really can't support a pastor in the ways that many have grown accustomed to these days. An almost identical analogy can be used with country doctors serving in small clinics and other rural-type medical facilities. In other words, they can't get a doctor or a preacher without traveling maybe many miles. Many of those in need don't have much, especially money. I mentioned this as ideas. My dad started as a circuit preacher in Texas and Oklahoma and went wherever they needed a preacher. He had a radio broadcast in Fort Worth once a week. He gave the WORD and announced where he would be. It wasn't long before there was too much work for one man to do, and he was in a different place every night for many years. He established a more permanent place for his ministry when he began loosing his health. They started with buildings rented several hours each week and eventually bought a lot. They held tent meetings on that lot and built a church there. They built the church themselves as the LORD provided. The church is small but very sturdy and is still serving its purpose over 60 years later. But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. As far as the money I am retired and God has taken care of that, the only request I have is to buy me hot dog once a month and being able to preach his word is good enough.

Jesus is also my Father ,Counsellor.I extremely happy in his present. I have been recently promoted as Manager.Promotion come from the Lord.Jesus will never deceive you.
