Britain has a "Racial and Religious Hatred Bill." This bill is very much like the Hate Crimes legislation that many advocate here in the U.S., that have tried to push through Congress and may yet get it put into law.

A Christian blogger in Britain that goes by the internet name of Lionheart is being charged with a hate crime for "Stirring up Racial Hatred by displaying written material contrary to sections 18(1) and 27(3) of the Public Order Act 1986. There is currently a warrant out for his arrest. He has been out of country for about a year and soon will have no choice but to return back into Britain. His crime? He wrote the truth about the violence performed by islamic terrorists and the objectives of islam to take over his nation and attempt to instill sharia law. He reported on the hatred spewed by some islamists. In other words he told the truth. Never once did he advocate anything other than legal actions in regards to this subject.

Yet a muslim blogger that has advocated violence against the people of Britain (unbelievers) has gone unchallenged by the government. This particular blogger has been suspected of aiding terrorists if not participating in it himself. No action has been taken in this case.

If the Hate Crimes bill comes off the shelf and gets placed into law this is exactly what we can expect here in the U.S. also.

Christians especially can expect to either be silenced in this manner, not being able to even quote scripture, or face an extensive period of incarceration.
