Title: Re: jobless Post by: nChrist on November 10, 2008, 09:57:01 PM Hello Sentry,
I'm late in answering this for several reasons, but I'll be happy to pray for you. I fear that more by the day are going to need our prayers in finding a job. I think it depends on the part of the country about how difficult it would be to find a job. Then, there is the issue about whether it will support a family or be enough to satisfy basic needs. As an example, I live in Southwest Oklahoma, and the cost of living here is pretty low. There are still jobs here for people who want to work, but the lower wages scare those from parts of the country where the costs of living are so high. If you already have a trade or skill, I would suggest trade magazines. I mention this because there is a known shortage in trades and skills in many fields. Here, many trades and skills would be in high demand (i.e. welder, bricklayer, tile-setter, concrete finisher, roofer, and on and on). Love In Christ, Tom Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Title: Re: jobless Post by: sentry on November 10, 2008, 10:24:56 PM I want to thank you all for your prayers and thank you blackeyedpeas for the info. I never thought in that direction. I also feel that we need to have prayer for all of our veterans on November 11. Many have sacrificed their all and many are fighting and have fought for this great nation. If it wasn't for the veteran where would we be now.

By the way, I give thanks for our Veterans and pray for them every day. I was born and raised in Lawton Fort Sill, Oklahoma. They combined the names because we have really been together for over 100 years now. The base is very large, and we have many people from the Armed Forces retiring here. I was a career police officer here, and I always thought that Retired or Active Duty Military people are our best citizens. Brother, I KNOW that generations of our finest men and women have secured and preserved the safety and freedoms we enjoy. I will never take for granted the sacrifices they have made for all of our families. You have touched on a subject that is important to me and all of my family. Our Veterans and Active Duty Military will always have my respect, prayers, and heartfelt thanks. We also have a large Veterans' Home here, and many of my friends stay there. I know what they have done for all of us, and I simply say NEVER FORGET! Love In Christ, Tom John 15:11-13 ESV These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. Having been a member of the Military community myself from Viet Nam to Desert Storm and having a son, a nephew and many friends in service now you have touched on a subject that is near and dear to me also. As with Brother Tom my prayers and many thanks are with them daily. Title: Re: jobless Post by: nChrist on November 11, 2008, 11:37:23 AM Amen and Amen! Having been a member of the Military community myself from Viet Nam to Desert Storm and having a son, a nephew and many friends in service now you have touched on a subject that is near and dear to me also. As with Brother Tom my prayers and many thanks are with them daily. I didn't forget, but I did decide to mention that I'm PROUD to thank my son for serving his country and us in the current war with Iraq. I'm a proud Navy dad and know that my son served as a volunteer for all of the right reasons, and he did so in the finest traditions of our Armed Services. It also gives me pride to know that he volunteered at a time when some are disrespecting and taking for granted our Armed Services. This will never happen in my extended family.
