Title: Torah, Christ, and the End Time!? Post by: RecognizeGodsGlory on January 06, 2004, 09:27:03 PM I feel sad that the Jewish faith doesn't recognize Jesus as their savior. I recently have been thinking and I came to the idea that it is all God's Big Devine Plan written in the book of Revelation by John. Also spoken in the gospel. And no one can change the word of God. Isn't it interesting how people can be so deceived and this is where it is sad.
My thought on the whole End Time Events is like this... The expected "Messiah" of the Jewish Faith is supposedly going to return to the 3rd Rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem and will call himself god as they expect the "Messiah" to call himself. He will make peace on earth and this is how they will believe he is the "Messiah". I believe that God waits and waits untill all is right for him to return but as I said the Torah Doctrine is what they believe and they won't accept Jesus as the one true Messiah who came to set a new begining and will return again to end it and set up his Kingdom. It is all making sence to me lately I am guessing alot of you will pffft this but I feel like sharing... I thank God for having such great power and grace that we all can benefit and be blessed by studying his word. Update - Basically Satan will use the "Messiah" belief and setup his Antichrist in the 3rd Temple. The Temple is being rebuild as we speak, they have a model temple wich is the blue print and building is slowly starting piece by piece. Only God knows when it will be comepleted. In my Opinion as Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done." (Mark 13:30) - KJV Here is something Jesus says to his people... "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. (Matthew 23:37) - NIV Title: Re:Torah, Christ, and the End Time!? Post by: RecognizeGodsGlory on January 06, 2004, 09:50:45 PM Judaism says that the Messiah will be born of human parents, and possess normal physical attributes like other people. He will not be a demi-god, and will not possess supernatural qualities. In fact, an individual is alive in every generation with the capacity to step into the role of the Messiah. (see Maimonides - Laws of Kings 11:3)
That claims that any human being can claim to be Messiah afcourse you must know the Torah by heart is what they say. Now don't missunderstand me when I post that scripture, this I got off the internet I haven't read the Torah but I read some of the verses and it hurts to read how Jesus is in a way "spit on" just like on the cross. For that reason I can assure you that no verse in the Torah says anything bad about Jesus or about the coming Messiah. As to your predictions about the coming antichrist... I really don't know what background you are from. The Eastern Orthodox Church, and I believe the Roman Catholic as well, has traditions that the antichrist will be a Jew born in Palestine. The problem with this prediction is that I don't know of anything in scripture to back it up. I am inclined to dismiss all notions of a Jewish antichrist born in Israel as simply part of the Catholic/Eastern Orthodox antisemitic tradition. It seems that this notion is just one of the mistakes of the past that deserves to be forgotten. |
