Title: gay ordination as bishop Post by: petevito on October 06, 2008, 09:45:58 AM I was just looking in and saw that Mr.Gene Robinson was ordained as bishop who is 56 years old a father of two daughter and his partner is Mark Andrew. Is it Biblical do the Baptist Churches accept this view
Title: Re: gay ordination as bishop Post by: Soldier4Christ on October 06, 2008, 10:23:45 AM First of all Gene Robinson is not a Baptist, he is Episcopalian. Next this is not a doctrine that is accepted by most true churches irregardless of what denomination they are. Unfortunately though this abomination is forcing it's way into all churches of all denominations.

Is it Biblical do the Baptist Churches accept this view God cursed the Sodomites, who would have had relations with the Angels of God, no less, who came down to warn Lot! (Genesis19:4,5) They couldn't even respect the messengers of God enough to leave them be, but rejected Lot's own daughters in favour of these angels. No wonder that God condemns the homosexuals! Though I am troubled by the thought that Lot would offer his own daughters up as sacrifice to those beasts - maybe he knew in his heart of hearts that God would protect them, or that the Sodomites could never harm them. I know nothing about these Episcopalians, but I know that the Bible speaks the truth! You must forgive me: I take my Scripture from the King James Version, and lack for the benefit of later interpretations. I had always taken the interest of the Sodomites to have been piqued by the unusual nature of Lot's guests: for in verse 9 it is written "And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge" - they knew that one at least of Lot's guests was there to weigh Sodom in the balance?Title: Re: gay ordination as bishop Post by: Soldier4Christ on October 17, 2008, 05:41:22 PM Hello zerubbabel,
Welcome to Christians Unite forums. The verse that speaks of the judge (Gen 19:9 ) is speaking of Lot judging them in calling them wicked. We can see this by looking at the comment following that "now we will do worse to you than to them." |
